Hello!

A few hours ago I noticed that my Mozilla Firefox was jamming a bit, at least the window I was surfing the Web on.

That session had many windows open, and most of those windows had dozens of tabs in them.

So, since my PC had been on for several days and, as I mentioned, Mozilla Firefox was starting to acting up a bit, I decided to give it all a rest. I opened the Windows Task Manager and I voluntarily "crashed" Mozilla Firefox from there, then I shut down my PC and let it rest for two or three hours.

When I restarted my computer and I opened Mozilla Firefox, I was obviously asked if I wanted to pick up where I left. So, I restored the last session and all the windows I had open came up again... except the one I was working on when I decided to shut down my PC! It was the most important window, with HUNDREDS of critical tabs in it!

Why hasn't been restored along with the others?

Is there a way to make it appear again=

I'm flabbergasted, please, help me!

My CSS has always been directed to two effects:

- tabs on bottom - general transparency of the bars

The latest update luckily spared the former, but not the latter! Anyway, this time I haven't been able to solve it on my own, unfortunately...

I haven't had to sign in for a while, so tonight when I tried and I typed the password in correctly the box just immediately closes and reopens like its incorrect. I have tried locating the key3.db and key4.db which I can't find on my system, nor can I find the login.json that is supposed to have the log of passwords to back them up. I don't have any 3rd party password managers and I've tried with my VPN disconnected. I've used the password generator to secure some of my websites so I don't even know was some of my passwords are, so resetting the primary password would be a huge hassle. If someone could please help me out I would be very appreciative. Thanks!

What is going on?

After doing a reset to try and get rid of the yahoo redirect malware attached to the Firefox browser, now I cannot access google search engine within firefox, or my gmail email account. I get the error messages attached below. I have spent hours looking on your support pages and tried all ways and NOTHING WORKS!!!!

FIrefox has been my default browser for years but if you cannot fix this very annoying and frustrating bug, I will be forced to your Chrome.

Apple maps make my life miserable. I can't stay with Firefox after decades of loyalty because it is not worth it. Why are you self-destructing? You have no method of changing the HORRID UNWORKABLE Apple Maps to something that works.

I accidentally deleted gmail.com from my web history and now i have to type it fully every single time. it's annoying! how do i recover it from saved websites?

When I connect to my home router via HTTPS I get a popup with the message “Invalid Encryption Key”. I tried using other installations of Firefox and I don't get this pop up. I then made a new Firefox profile on the same computer and did not get the popup. So it seemed like a Firefox "refresh" would be in order. But after the refresh the problem persists.

So how do I resolve this issue?

Firefox is the latest version running on a Mac.

I was just updated to version 100 and now the background in the sites I visit, ebay for example, are totally black where they used to be white. I've set my firefox theme to "light" as recommended in another thread, restarted my computer, but to no avail. I now have a light background/black letter tab bar but every site is black where it used to be white. Thanks for a simple answer, I'm not highly technically skilled.

I mistakenly blocked a website that I use all the time this morning. I am not getting a big red exclamation point and it says Restricted Access. I need to regain access to this site as I use it daily for business. Help! Thanks.

I can load up a new session of Firefox and browse OK. Then suddenly if I enter a different website in the address bar and press enter nothing happens, as if I didn't press anything. Same for if I type into the search bar, type what I am searching then press enter and nothing happens. I can refresh the same page, that works, I can click on websites via the favourites bar and it will take me to the correct page.

I have troubleshooted, tried a few obvious things on the help pages, clear cache etc. Troubleshoot mode and refresh and the issue goes away. Then comes back quickly. This is the latest version as of 13 May 2022 with clean install I haven't any other plugins etc.

There are two suggestions (or questions if I simply cannot find these): - as the default behaviour of the browser, I want to be able to only see websites from Europe. However, when I am trying to use it in firefox as my Start Page, it opens all of these in separate tabs and it does not work. Also as far as I understand using the link is not possible for new tabs.

The reason is simple. For example, when looking for cooking recipes, pages from the USA use strange units that cannot be understood and there is no point in translating each of these manually as all recipes are available in million of versions - it is just a matter of clicks. But I don't want to waste time each time on checking the websites one by one; if the cooking website is from Europe, the units will be of a standard and I don't have to worry. It is the same in relation to many products of any kind. European and American markets are completely different and reading description of something only to find out at the end that it is only available in the USA is waste of time.

- it should be possible in firefox to block some websites or portals by some button. I know that there is an add-on for this but it is only for 10 pages or so, so in reality it is not very useful. It also only works in the way that the page won't open when clicked on. However, it would be much better if unwanted portals or websites were simply removed from search results.

There are too many fake websites nowadays providing incorrect or misleading information. If it happens that I come across one of these, I want to be doing that only once - and block them forever.

I don't mean "saving" login information for later use, that I do not want to do. What I mean by the login not being retained is that when I log-in to a website like say Amazon, while I'm browsing, I end up having to re-enter my login information pretty much every other time that I switch between pages. I've never had an issue like that with any other browser. Is there some setting I need to adjust to stop that from happening? As I said, I'm not looking to save my passwords and usernames within the browser, I just want to effectively browse a website after logging into it without needing to login every time I move between pages. About a week ago, Firefox stopped updating the fonts on Canva art boards. I have attached a screen shot to show that the font name is correct (shown in the menu bar), but it is not reflected on the art board. The screenshot also has a popup of the image downloaded which shows the same font as in the menu bar.

I have used Canva in Firefox of years! I am now having to use Chrome and Edge. I would prefer Firefox. Please fix the problem.

Whenever I use web-applications that use WebGL or anything similar, they are always distorted. And yes, I have tried disabling Performance Settings, but that only slightly helped.

I have been having an issue, since just before the update to 100, where Google sites stop responding. Gmail will display banner at the top "OOPS - The system encountered a problem...", Google search from the search bar will do nothing, Google Maps will not load and any google web page will not load or refresh. Closing Firefox and restarting it will fix the issue, temporarily. At first I thought it was any web page, but I have tested other search engines and web pages, using Firefox while the Google pages are unresponsive, and it is limited to Google pages. I can open the affected Google pages with Edge, while Firefox is still "locked out".

Has anyone else noticed this issue?

There's been 11 connections to cm.nordvpn.com and 1 to nordvpn.com and it also connected to nordvpn-com-blog.disqus.com.

A little concerning as I use Proton VPN which is currently off?

is there a config option to prevent the showing of user/pw proposals when opening a website for which user account data is saved? When i'm logging into a website with already saved user data, i get account proposals (as ff saves the data "per domain", say if you have 3 accounts to one website, e.g. a test user, an administrator and a cms administrator, they are all presented where needed content may be...) see pict. I would like to opt out this behavior, as i have more than one website with 2 or more accounts.

I used to sign in to my credit card through Elan Financial Services and then I would highlight my credit card, tell it the date range I needed to update to Quicken, and hit enter. a popup would give me the option of opening the file or to save the quicken file to my computer. I would select the option to open the file and it would update my register on Quicken. Now, I only get the option to save the file to my computer. On Microsoft Edge, I still get the choice to open or save the file. Why doesn't Firefox support the Open Function anymore. I use Firefox for everything, but now I have to remember to switch to Edge for this one important update. Is this a change in Firefox or something I have to deal with Elan on?
