One of your recent updates has all searches forced to the address bar..... I use the Google search box on my homepage and from the first letter its moved to the address bar... Go back to the Google box on the homepage.... You've made it useless....

How do I get rid of this crap? I either select a crappy system theme and everything turns a blinding white, or go back to the theme I usually use where everything suddenly is dark. How do I remove darkmode while retaining my favorite theme? I don't want dark mode and I certainly do not want to be blinded either. There must be a useless setting added to the about:config that I can disable.

Hello, today I was surprised with a update ver.88 -> 89. It completely changed the look. Few weeks back it was similar with Thunderbird.

I hate this look. I want old look back - how to do this. I tried rollback to 88, but it ask to create new profile - after copying all content of profile it dose not work...

Is there a way to change look of 89 to look exactly like 88 ?

All of a sudden, my bookmarks ( and other bookmarks) are double spaced. This just happened today and I didn't make any changes. How do I get rid of the double spacing ? Thank you.

After update to 89.0 (or even after 88.0) tabs are constantly crashing. OS: Windows 10 pro (19043.1023), last update KB5003214. Firefox completely re-installed 2 times, last time with full refresh. No addons/extensions are in use, only default H264 plugin. Strict tracking protection with always "do not track" is set, but previously no troubles at all for years. Nvidia graphics driver last (462.59 studio) installed with EVGA GTX 1060. Hardware acceleration is disabled. I opened Firefox this morning, and was greeted by a new website. Very impressive! BUT I can't log in to my hotmail account!! the sign in page doesn't open at all!!! please advise!! thanks ... k

In most standard Windows applications, the title bar and tab colour follows the default Windows settings, e.g. (in my case) the title bar and tab colour of active application windows is blue. This is true even in Thunderbird. Since FF 89, title bar and tabs are something between white and light gray, which is extremely user-un-friendly. FF developer team should return to the previous colour scheme. Yes, I know the circumstances of free software but this is NO excuse to alienate millions of users. Developers that change fully functionable software just, well, just to CHANGE it should consider that they are doing WRONG. Could anyone tell them? I am just user, not developer and I am not willing to learn developer tools like BugZilla just for this simple guiding principle.

The floating tabs are awful. They all mix together and look like one giant tab which makes it infinitely harder to find what I'm doing when I have many tabs open. The proton design is disappointing all around but these tabs are unacceptable.

After updating to 89.0 on Windows 10, I don't see a speaker icon on the tab that's currently playing audio unless I hover over the tab. In to previous releases, any tab that was playing audio had a speaker icon that showed you which tab(s) are playing.

The latest version adds space between bookmarks making my Bookmark Toolbar overflow down the right side way too large. Is there someway to make Bookmarks space like before?

I now have a weather report on my often overcrowded task bar. How do i make it go away?

Today I updated my Firefox Developer Edition to version 89.0b2 and now I just can not look at this browser anymore, "Inspired new tab design" is taking too much space and now became largest and at the same time least information-dense panel in my entire desktop! I searched around the web for a bit in hopes that I will find a theme or an add-on that will revert this particular change but no luck. I really want to revert to old UI look (at least tabs bar), there should be default theme or option to get back to old style. After some investigation I found userChrome.css but don't really want to install it (maybe this is actually the way of doing this kind of styling). Please help me revert UI design to old one.

Mt tab bar is set up to appear underneath the bookmarks bar. I just updated to version 89.0 (64 bit) and the tabs bar is there but NO tabs are appearing on it or anywhere. How do I fix this?

I just used pacman to update to the latest Firefox, but the tab crashed each time I open a new web page ( I can open settings, about:xxx and etc... ). I tried Troubleshoot Firefox crashes and it did not crash in troubleshoot mode. Then I tried extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems but non of these options solved the problem. I disabled all extensions, themes and hardware acceleration, and it reported the same error.

I have noticed that the problem has something to do with my own profile. The problem doesn't appear under the following circumstances:

• I start Firefox in troubleshooting mode
• I start Firefox with a new profile

I tried manually disabling all my add-ons, but even with all of them disabled, I can still reproduce the problem.

Any idea what could be wrong with my setup?

Good afternoon. My Firefox has been updated to the new version but I noticed that the font size in my bookmarks dropdown menu has increased. I would prefer to make it smaller as it used to all fit in one column without the need to scroll. Could someone tell me how, or if this can be done with the new version? I used to have this setting whereby I had an icon at the end of the address bar which I could click on to copy whichever link was current at the time. I reinstalled Firefox or something due to a problem I had and I can't seem to find that option anymore. I can't remember if it was an add-on or an option in Firefox itself as standard.

I'm using Firefox 89.0 on a Mac.

Does anybody know how I can get that icon back?

Good morning. My Firefox appears to have updated overnight and now my menu bar is a light grey colour instead of it's original black. I want to reset the menu bar colour to black because I now have no contrast between it and my tabs. I have searched the help articles but none of them tells me how to do this. I am directed down the path: settings> extensions and themes> manage your themes.

Unfortunately I can see no way to 'manage' this theme. I would mention that I am a native English speaker but any so called 'discussion' of this issue uses what I call 'geek-speak' which is unintelligible to a non IT professional.

I would be most grateful for someone to explain to me in simple terms (ie keystroke by keystroke) how to re-set my menu bar colour to black, whilst noting that the text for (file, edit,view etc) needs to then be white rather than the pale grey which it has become.

As an after thought, does anyone know which developer it is that thinks it a good idea to mess with my original view settings during an update. It is NOT helpful and, quite frankly, really annoying.

Dear Community, after one of recent Firefox updates I experience an issue with text display on certain pages. Some text is not visible because it is white on white background. The text is there, I can highlight it. I am using latest Firefox release as suggested by auto update. This white on white issue is regardless of selected Theme, even in dark theme it is white on white. Please have a look at the attached screenshots.

The latest version has been loaded onto my PC. The list of bookmarks, in the drop down menu, has increased in the spacing between the lines. Now my bookmarks list goes off the bottom of the screen, whereas before my bookmarks were all visible. Is there a simple way of reducing the gap between the lines, the font size is OK.
