I really miss the ability to have a "Save As" choice when i download pdf's or pictures from the web I'm always on the latest version of Firefox but only gets 'Open', Open with' and 'Save'...

Often the downloaded files gets lost in the wrong folder or hide itself with a crazy name that 'the web page' has given it.

AS both Google Chrome and Windows Edge offers that possibility and has for long, please include that feature in the next update...??

Is anyone out there familiar with the "Mile Wide Back" addon? It allow you to go to the previous web site page or the next page with a left/right mouse click on the left page border. I'm hoping someone who knows it's history will have a workaround for a problem it has. Apparently, the developer is no longer available.

I've been using it for years. It was modified for quantum, but there is a problem. One of it's functions is to scroll thru tabs with a mouse wheel turn. I wouldn't want that feature even if it did work right, but it's broken.

One lone click of the mouse wheel on the left page border and it scrolls thru 6 tabs. Two clicks, 12+ tabs, etc. There's no option to disable that feature.

However, in it's pre-quantum version, there were about:config commands that could modify it's behavior.

I have another handy app, Volume2. You can set it up to change volume with a mouse wheel turn while touching the left border of any window. Up until recently, this feature superseded the Mile Wide Back function, but lately it stopped helping.

Since neither the apps have changed in over a year, I believe the change in behavior is due to Firefox 88,which was released around the same time this started happening.

As the subject says. I can still search for the firefox app and open it that way or I can start it from the START page that comes up when I hit the windows key on the keyboard. But I am not allowed to drag and drop it onto the taskbar as it says it's already there. It's sorta there I guess because FF is open right now while I type this and this open tab is indicated on the taskbar. If I were to close the FF window there would be no FF logo on the taskbar.

Right clicking the firefox app in the start list that comes up when I left click on the windows icon in the lower left or hit the windows key on my keypad gives me options to unpin FF from the start page or unpin it from the taskbar. I don't want to do that.

I did something to mess this up and I can't fix it. I want the FF logo back on my taskbar so when I power up the machine I can click on the logo in the taskbar to get to the browser with all my previously open tabs back.

The latest Windows 10 a Lenovo yoga laptop if it matters.

I have 88.0.1 installed in c:/program_files/mozilla and in users/myname/appdata/local/mozilla. Don't know how that happened but how do I resolve this. When I go into Win 10 apps to delete the installations and order a new one for custom install, I am not given an option to remove, only to refresh. And also one installation shows in Win 10, not two. The exe files are in both these locations. I understand the profiles are in the appdata area, so it seems I need to delete the files in the other location, somehow.

Until I updated to 88.0 64 bit, when I right clicked on a page there was a link to View Page Info right next to the View Page Source link. Now it is gone. I can get the info page back by right clicking the padlock icon, clicking the arrow, then clicking more info but that is a real PITA. How do I get the link back on page right click. I am 100% sure that this was not done intentionally. That would be very silly and absurd to do.

The "screen capture" from the "3 points" options on the address bar disappeared. I didn't change a single thing. Anyone knows how do i proceed with that to reactivate that tool again?

The sound suddenly didn't work when I used Firefox for YouTube (I checked with Chrome, worked fine) so I Refreshed Firefox, and that seems to have wiped out all my adblockers? The sound is back, but now I'm getting ads all over the place? What happened?

I am unable to download attachments from the French government website ensap.gouv.fr. With Microsoft Edge, it works perfectly. Do you know a solution for Firefox?

Using Firefox and accessing my gmail account. A notice comes up saying "A pop up blocker may be preventing the application from printing the page. If you have a popup blocker, try disabling it to open the window". I have no idea how to find what this pop up blocker is so I can disable it.

Every time I start Firefox, it tells me it is installing updates and will restart shortly. Why is this happening to version 88.0, which is supposed to be the latest version. It is an endless cycle.

I also use Ninite to maintain application updates. It tells me Firefox is running (although is definitely NOT) and refuses to update it.

Hi, I see that Print Preview is gone, but I figured out how to deal with that by setting the scale in Print mode. However, I have noticed just in the past week or so, that no matter how the scale is set, the web page will NOT print properly. I tend to print mainly receipts for online purchases and recipes from various sites. This is now impossible. I've done the troubleshooting and refreshing to no avail - there seem to be no manual print settings for Firefox. I've had to resort to taking a screenshot and pasting it into a blank Word document, which of course shows all the webpage extraneous stuff that I don't want to see. Can you help?

in settings I have turned off all enhanced tracking I could find but apparently it doesn't keep the browser from blocking stuff. I have to go up to the address line and turn it off there. I'm getting sick to death and if I can't stop this enhanced tracking I'm done with firefox. Before you say I need it, the browser is already set to delete all cookies etc and never remember history when I close it.

So how can i stop firefox from enhanced tracking stuff even though nothing is checked under the Custom box in settings?

Reddit comments textbox shows duplicate text after pasteing When creating a comment (new or reply), the input textbox shows duplicate text. So what ever is pasted, it appears twice. If I post the comment anyway, only one copy of the text appears in the posted comment. It only seems to happen if I paste more than one line of text so maybe the CRLF at the end of line one has something to do with it. See attached image.

I tried the same operation with Chrome, and it does not have this duplicate text problem. So I'm guessing it some problem with the input textbox implementation in firefox.

Is this a known problem? Anyone else seeing this?

After a new windows installation, firefox opens a new tab (newtab override) and places the cursor in the upper adressbar. I am looking for a way so that the cursor appears in the search bar in the middle. It happens with the newtab override and also without it. I could not find anything on helpsites and fora.

Does this look familiar to you ?

All of my "Top Sites" open fine except MeWe. I have used the top site link without problems for months, but suddenly, today, selecting MeWe will not work. Every other top site opens fine. When I select MeWE, absolutely nothing happens; no error message. I can reach the site if I select a private window for browsing.

My recollection is that when I used to want to reassign a bookmark to a different folder, I just brought up the bookmarked page and used the ctrl+D shortcut to add it to the new folder--and the old bookmark was gone. Now it seems that when I do that, the old bookmark remains, so that I now have the same page bookmarked in two places. Is this a change I was not aware of? Is there a different procedure to move (rather than duplicate) the bookmark?

 Only Firefox browser is logged in my Facebook account. Login and password  are not saved. If I loose session, account is gone. Please help view and save my password.

So, I had to do a clean install of my OS, and after reinstalling firefox, I have a Facebook Notification bookmark I cannot remove. Can anyone advise on how to remove it?
