Is there a way to delete a bookmark from the book-mark drop-down window (accessed from triple horizontal bar/right side of browser) but retain the same book-mark that had been saved in a folder created in Other Bookmarks? I discovered that when you delete a book-mark entry from drop down menu, the same entry is also deleted from its saved location in Other Book Marks. I was trying to reduce number of unsorted entries in drop down menu while saving (and retaining) the same link in the Other Bookmarks section and folder. I want to continue using the sorting and discrete folder saving possible with the Other Bookmark section but clean up the clutter in the unsorted bookmark section.

I was directed here from Mozilla Connect. Since the update a few days ago, my Firefox browser keeps freezing permanently. It seems to happen mostly when I interact with Google Search (sometimes just loading Google will cause it) but it does happen occasionally on other sites. When it freezes this way, the only fix is to End Task and reload. It will successfully reload to the state it was in just a few seconds before freezing. I'm on Windows 10. I keep everything (OS, browsers, etc.) up to date, so I doubt that would be a factor. I wonder if there could there be an issue with a Google-based script (hence it occurring on other sites)? I don't know how I'd test for that.

Yesterday I had Picture-In-Picture (shortened into pip for next mentions) working on youtube, then after one day, PIP no longer works on any of the websites, including youtube. I tried disabling and enabling pip, entering troubleshoot mode, and none of them worked. Not reinstalling because it will be annoying to log in everywhere I've had account at.

Any solution?

Suddenly, a few days ago, Facebook does not display properly on my laptop. I have an image attached. I can go to another computer, using Firefox and it's fine. I can use Microsoft Edge here on my laptop, and it's fine.. But, here on my laptop, using Firefox. Not good. Other web sites display just fine. Any ideas?

I can't enable USB Devices on about:debugging setup page. I already installed ADB toolkit for MacOS, also I can see my device in ADB devices list: ``` ~% adb devices -l List of devices attached 013db356 device usb:336723968X product:OnePlus6T model:ONEPLUS_A6010 device:OnePlus6T transport_id:9 ```

On the device I've enabled "Remote debugging via USB". But when I click on "Enable USB Devices" button, nothing happens. I can see only "Updating..." message, then "Disabled" again.

Also no devices in the devices list, because USB Devices are disabled. "Refresh devices" does not make any changes.

On my laptop, I run FDE as my daily driver, with the release version to handle my webmail. I also use portable firefox (from portableapps.com) as a browser to use while at work, from a thumb drive. While using that portable verison, I usually just go to google image search, and a work site that would definitely be secure.

My question: I don't like to update the installation on my thumb drive very often, and occasionally work computers are very slow anyways. So if I were to update it no more often than once a month, which version of firefox would be most secure: Release, Beta, or Nightly?

If doing this is just dumb, then which version gets updated less often--it would be Release, correct?

A required site I need to use for work has a popup dialog box that never works right in Firefox, the popup dialog shows up as a blank box or doesn't popup at all in Firefox. I must print what is supposed to be there in that dialog box. It's been like this for a couple of years now. I've tried everything imaginable and searched high and low for the fix. I have had this particular site set as an exception to popups blocking, and then I also set it to have all popups unblocked. Still doesn't work either way. I have to use the site in Brave instead, and it's the only way I can get what I need done. I used to love Firefox SO much, I used it exclusively. But it has undergone some unpleasant changes recently, such as hiding my open tabs on my iphone. Because of these issues I find myself using other browsers more and more.

Since updating to the latest version, Firefox crashes constantly. All add-ons disabled, crashes on any website multiple time, crashes in Troubleshooting mode, crashes on restart. I've sent in about 10 reports today alone. Firefox is unstable and I'm unfortunately switching to Edge to continue to enjoy the web.

As of today, when I started a new private window of firefox, the Toolbar & Menu Bar showed up in black background colour. Can I configure this behaviour? I checked, if there is a private mode-dependent configuration of a certain theme, but is seems as if there is no option like this.

How do I remove this crap tab list? I don't want that option, Firefox just updated and added it as a fixed function. Honestly it seems that the Firefox development team does not care about the interests of users, currently I need to use 2 browsers because one of them does not have an option to create shortcuts to the sites I frequent

Hello, I am a user on Mac! I am having an issue with moving tabs fluidly. Yes, moving tabs inside the window is easy but when I move them outside the window, it makes me a little uncomfortable. In the images and video I have sent, you can see that an unnecessary thumbnail of the tab pops up even when I move the tabs inside the window. This makes it harder to know if I am even moving the tab in the first place. Then it takes like 2-5 seconds for the new window of the individual tab I moved to appear. If whatever I said is quite confusing which I apologize for, I would very much recommend taking a look at Google Chrome, the browser I don't prefer, however, try moving the tabs around and outside one window and creating more windows with individual tabs. It feels more fluid or swift and easy to handle. Compare that to Firefox and a big difference is to be seen. I am concerned about this issue really because I am replacing my previous browsers, not only Google Chrome but browsers like Edge too which are capable of not having that issue, with Firefox instead and hopefully Firefox can have this capability. I also multitask a lot so I usually encounter this problem on Firefox. I hope this is fixed and am sure it will help a lot of users! Thank you! Windows 10 pc can not start,I have gone through automatic repair and diagnostics steps,but am now on advamced options and think I need to Reset it.This will lose Firefox.When I install it again will I be able to sign into my Firefox account to retrieve bookmarks and passwords?I am very nervous about this,don't even know how to install Firefox,as someone gave me the computer and it was already in there. Hi. I'm trying to download an installer .msi file from a valid link. If I do this in Chrome it simply pops it into the Downloads folder as it should. In Firefox, it downloads and then displays as a text page of garbage. It seems the file is wrongly defined as text/plain on the server rather than as a binary.

However, I've looked into my Firefox settings to see if I can define the handling behaviour of that file type. I can't! Amazingly to me, the .msi file type can not be added to the list manually. There is no "Add File Type" functionality in there. It seems as though I have to handle the file in Firefox for it to see that that type exists and then it will let me add it to the Downloads/Applications area of settings.

I can right click on the link and choose Save File As which gets round it, but then I still cannot see the .msi file type to add it to the Applications list. Can anyone tell me what I am missing here?

Recently the V-like icon/button appeared at the right-hand end of the top line of my Firefox windows. This Tab Search could be invaluable to some, but I have no need for it. If I start to get too many tabs I just use another window. However, I click on it constantly when I intend to minimize the window. I have been clicking on the - icon/button in EVERY WINDOWS APPLICATION since Windows began, and as it has ALWAYS been the LEFT-MOST item in the UPPER RIGHT CORNER I haven't had to think about it in decades. But now it isn't the left-most, that is now tab search.

Please, please, PLEASE provide a configuration option to remove Tab Search from the top line.

On firefox before version 105 i can use parameter on about:config page

1. signon.showAutoCompleteOrigins = to hide the "From This Website" 2. signon.showAutoCompleteFooter = to hide the "View Saved Login" button

Now on firefox version 106 parameter number 1 doesn't work (doesn't hide "From This Website")

How can i hide "From This Website" ? is it a bug or is there any other way

Is there a toggle to turn off the purple theme in private windows? As an elderly person I find it hard to see things and it's quite irritating to say the least. This only started showing up in my Windows 10 and my linux systems in FF Version 106 and is also violating my preferences to have a totally blank page when a new private window is opened. Suggestions would be most appreciated.

So I just updated to version 106.0.1, and I noticed something new in the far right corner of the screen, an arrow with a dropdown function listed as view all tabs. I have no need for this and tried to use the customize toolbar option to remove it. It did not work. How do I get rid of this thing? It's just kinda taking up space on the screen as I doubt I'm ever gonna use it.

Any tips here?
