Hello Firefox community and thank you for your time and effort. Let me begin by saying I used to have this same issue with MS operating systems until I said goodbye to MS and went to Linux on one laptop and got a Mac for streaming and graphics. Here is the issue: MS had so many background processes running constantly, regardless of what I was using the machine for, that I regularly experienced crashes, warnings and slowed responses on my Windows machines. No matter how vigilant I was about settings and stopping processes and keeping system clean, I would regularly have to replace the fan on my machines as the constant overheating would eventually kill the fans. That has not been a problem since I made that switch away from MS. Until now. I keep clean machines and keep them updated religiously. But with the latest few Firefox updates the problem is now back on both my Linux built Lenovo and my MacBook Pro, especially the Mac. That regularly shuts down after an hour of streaming use. When I hear the fan constantly struggling and feel the machines heating up I check the background processes and find that Firefox has at least four running processes eating up resources. Force stop does not fix the resource hogging; by the time it is apparent and I respond the machine is already overheated and shuts itself down. Last night I started searching and found a (very) recent thread about this same issue. Most of the participants were attributing it to recent updates. If this is the case is there any effort to fix this? I would hate to have this issue completely destroy my older (but still heavily relied upon) MacBook with this constant mechanical challenge since I cannot afford to replace it. Please can you fix this problem. It is an old and exhausting struggle I thought I would not have to deal with again. If my assumption of the source of the problem is inaccurate do you have any suggestions? Thanks again, Jerri

For years I have used Firefox as my preferred internet browser, and most of the time it's OK. Recently, however, when trying to log on to my bank accounts, I get the message "Log on error. You need to enable cookies in your browser to logon to Internet Banking." How do I do this? In the meantime I am using another browser and can log on successfully there.

When I open Firefox (with administrative privileges) lt won't stay open, it just looks like it going to load my previous season (at least that's what should happen), but after a few seconds it just stops and closes, all at once? Also, I should mention; Firefox is updated, Using Windows 10. I've tried to trouble shoot a little . . .

— Reinstalled Firefox. — I manually delete the files in Startup Cache by navigating to the cache folder in your Firefox profile. — Reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 - 2022 Redistributable x86 and x64.

Now, at one point it did open, and I decided to refresh Firefox (removing extensions and restoring to default settings) by going to 'More troubleshooting information' option, then clicking the Refresh Firefox button. Closed it, restarted my laptop, and Firefox, added my usual extension / add-on. (I was thankfully able to save my bookmarks or back them up).

When I was done, I closed it. But when I try to open Firefox, lt won't stay open, it just looks like it going to load my previous season, but after a few seconds it just stops and closes?

Should I just remove Firefox all together from my laptop, and reinstall it??

Hi, I don't know if this is a problem or not, but my Inbox says I have 2 unread messages but I can't seem to find them. They usually show up in bold to alert me that they are unread, but I cannot find these messages at all and don't know where to look for them. This happened once before and I discovered that they were embedded in a thread that someone had replied to but didn't show up to where I could easily see it. I had to search through all my threads to find it. I am only having this problem on my computer running Windows 11. My ipad shows everything as being read. Any help would b appreciated. Thank you,

Just lately after decade plus of using Firefox I am getting computer hung up, nothing running but Firefox with 7 tabs open. That is how I been running FF for years, same 7 tabs open and no problems until a coupler months ago. I am on Windows 10 64 bit current with May updates, 12GB main memory, Intel Core i5 @ 3.20GHz, 500 GB WD HDD. The task manager right now is showing 49 FF processes running. All is well right now, but maybe by end of day or tomorrow it will hang up. Right now Virtual memory is set at 14838. I have it set at automatic manage paging file. My hard drive has 281 GB free space. Below is a warning error I see when FF hangs and sends in a report.

BTW I am on FF 126.0

All of a sudden, my pages appear in Spanish. When I go to the Translate Page tab and change it from Spanish to English, part of the page still appears in Spanish.

The default language is English, so I don't know how or why it's coming up in Spanish.

When I am on YouTube's website if I click (or right click) and of the other YouTube video links Every link on the page opens up. This doesn't happen if a use any other browser.

Firefox browser not working right. I can change about 3 screens than it just spins back & forth it wont chage half to close & open back up to get it to change crome dont do that & the slide bar on side dont work when you change screens wont go back to top poor service fixing it

This is an utterly bizarre issue, and I don't know if it's my fault. On most web page I go to, when typing in an input field, each time I press A, whatever my mouse cursor is hovering over is clicked. This is extremely annoying and inconvenient. I may be searching google when I'm redirected back to the google home page. I might be typing in duolingo when the question is suddenly submitted and I am marked incorrect. It's a major inconvenience and I have no clue what could be causing it. It's only in firefox, not any other browser. It's only in web pages themselves, not in the url bar.

Up until a month ago, I was able to download gifs from the giphy.com as actual GIFs. What has changed in Firefox and how can I troubleshoot this so I can get the desired file format of GIF?

in looking at my history I only have dates for Most Recent Visit, nothing for Added or Last Modified. How can I get this information? I added a screenshot showing the (3) columns.

Since yesterday I've been unable to sign into Earthlink webmail. I worked with their chat support this morning, clearing cache, history, etc., but no luck. I'm able to sign in on Edge. So Earthlink suggested I contact you.

When I try calling some of my Facebook friends from my PC, I get this message "Video calling is not supported on this browser " . But when I try calling other Facebook friends, everything works just well. When I try calling my Facebook friends from my cellphone, no problem.

I am trying to go to mylogin.aflac.com which I always went to and was fine and now all the sudden I get that I need a passkey now. see attached for problem and please fix it. thanks

I've seen a few submissions describing the same or similar issues, but is there a consistent, effective way of changing the time zone in Firefox? It keeps defaulting to the wrong time zone (despite everything else on my system displaying the correct time zone) and has been doing so for weeks. Solutions appreciated!

Whenever I go in to sign into Amazon Prime, using Firefox, the sign in page automatically shows my E mail address, my phone no. and my password. I do not have Amazon as a saved log in. I contacted Amazon and they had me log into Amazon on a different browser and this information does not show up on Microsoft Edge, so Amazon said it has something to do with Firefox. Please let me know how I can eliminate this information from showing up automatically on Firefox

I've had Firefox as my default browser for several years. Recently every time I turn on my computer Firefox shows up but it is immediatly overrun by M Edge and I have to remove it several times before it'll go away. I recently lost my connection to my ptinter and don't know how to get it back. I suspect the Edge did away with it.

Trying to us kp.org and Firefox would not recognize the selections made. At times Firefox would not let me make or retain the selection made. Switched to Chrome and site worked smoothly.

There is problem going on when I turn my laptop in the morning. It has appeared three times now. The message say " Open or Fresh Firefox" The first time I did a Fresh, the second one I clicked "Open". I later get an update and I didn't do the update then the next morning I cannot login into my laptop. I kept getting codes to enter my password. Finally, a security screen appeared and I was able to login. This morning when turning on my laptop I see the same message appear again. I did the refresh Firefox. I had to go back and reset all my personal setting.

Also, I am letting you know that I am being monitor and I am having other problems with my email and iPhone. Question: Who is monitoring the monitor?
