Installed new hard disk Windows 10. I've downloaded and installed current Firefox program, however, my previous bookmarks did not reinstall. Did some research but could the file where they might be located. I thought that FC saves everything to the cloud at closing which would this problem. Thanking you in advance: Dr. Steve

Firefox asked me again to create a new profile. Third or forth time within a month or two. Nothing serious, I have to admit, takes a few minutes to recover bookmarks, reset duckduckgo as default search engine, etc., but why is it happening? Version 87.0, Windows 10, 64 bit.

And while I'm here... I use to download a lot of webpages, for information purposes, it's easier than to bookmark them all. Doesn't work correctly for a while now, they are not saved as webpages, but as something resembling html-format (or however to describe it)... Still working with Edge and Opera, so it must be a Firefox issue. And after each update Firefox was reset to French language automatically one or two days later, this also does not happen any more. I'm neither English nor French native speaker, so again, not a real problem, but why is it happening? or rather not happening any more?

whenever i boot up my computer, firefox automatically starts atleast 9 tasks in background that end up eating half of my ram, and one of them eats an entirety of my processor. Whenever i check my task manager(i use windows 10), it shows that one particular task is taking 100% of my cpu. I have to manually stop the task or it ends up slowing down my laptop. I already have the latest version of firefox and i am having this problem for 2-3 months. What do i do?

My Firefox forgets that I want to use Windows standardapplication (Acrobat reader) when clickin on a .pdf-file. Firefox wants me to save the file after updates. Does anyone have a solution for this issue?

Everytime I start typing "Facebook.com" into the addressbar the first suggestion is a site "Fastcompany.com." I will often just type "Fa" and hit enter which takes me to fastcompany.com instead of facebook.com. Firefox never used to do this. I am unable to delete fastcompany.com from the suggested list. I have tried every method, checked my bookmarks, delted my history, cleared all cookies and cache, I even installed an addon to block the site but the suggestion still remains. How do I remove it so that when I type "fa" and press enter I go to facebook instead of fastcompany?

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about what is going on with this issue. I am using Firefox 78.9.0esr (64-bit), with the latest Acrobat reader. I've had no problems with any sites or links other than those at the Environmental Protection Agency. For many weeks, actually months now, I have been unable to access any (I've tried more than 40 different ones) Pesticide Labels. Every time, no matter the route - typed address, Ag. Ext. program link, directly from the EPA's pesticide label search page, I receive this error message: "An error occurred during a connection to www3.epa.gov. The OCSP server suggests trying again later. Error code: SEC_ERROR_OCSP_TRY_SERVER_LATER The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem." For instance Lorsban 75WG, as I attempt on the page https://iaspub.epa.gov/apex/pesticides/f?p=113:8:::NO::P8_PUID,P8_RINUM:38268,62719-301 to open the label pdf by clicking on "November 19, 2013 (PDF)," which should then open the label at https://www3.epa.gov/pesticides/chem_search/ppls/062719-00301-20131119.pdf . Instead, I receive the above error message. I have, of course, contacted the EPA about this, several times. Thanks.

Can you give me back my "Stuff" as it's all gone now after a change in my gmail because it wanted 3 days to confirm my request for a new password? I made a new account. After a support request to Moto G (when I could no longer download my moto g pictures), my personal files (i.e. recipes, research on US Covid 19 vaccines, and notes on anything from a Spanish learning program to family info, etc) was taken. Their tech support in the US, Ryan, helped me and it vanished and he says he can't reset it. Even though he had access through my cell and laptop.

cześć, Posiadam OS Big Sur Mac Mini i mam pytanie, dlaczego na tym komputerze nie działa zapamiętywanie otwartych kart (przywracanie sesji)? Zaznaczyłam w opcjach: przywracanie poprzednich sesji, ale to nie działa. Nie rozumiem tego. Jak miałam Windowsa, to nigdy nie było z tym problemu. A pracuje przy kilkudziesięciu otwartych kartach i nie wyobrażam sobie, żebym miała je za każdym razem otwierać pojedynczo... Z jednej grupy wsparcia Apple dostałam informacje, że Mac ma swoją przeglądarkę: Safarii i żebym jej zaczęłam używać. Ale ja nie chcę innej przeglądarki. Mam za dużo zapamiętanych kart, żeby je przenosić i nie chcę uczyć się kolejnej aplikacji. Dodatkowo powiedziano mi, że Mac nie lubi innych oprogramowań niż swoje. Idąc tym torem, nie można by używać Photoshopa, Adobe PDF, i wiele wiele innych aplikacji, bo Mac ich nie wyprodukował... To jakiś absurd! Proszę o pomoc, jak otwierać przeglądarkę z kartami z poprzedniej sesji?

I don't want Firefox to store all my passwords from the past, for some sites where I change password a lot it keeps 4-5 versions of the same login with different passwords and dates. How to stop this madness?

Hello, I would like to close all Firefox windows (to free up RAM) and then be able to restore all windows with their tabs without leaving the session. Is it possible ? Thanks.

When I searched Firefox "Help" to find out what is going on, there were over 2,000 queries about this but no responses were returned.

Is this a new hack, or what?

I have this one installation of Firefox in which MP3 files are opening in the browser instead of the default external application.

There is no entry for MP3 in the list of associations in the applications panel under the options.

How do I fix this?

Firefox 87.0 / MacOS, in safe mode, with and without enhanced protection. Mostly after clearing cache. Server is Apache, running WordPress.

Other browsers (Chrome, Opera, IE) have no problems.

Using HTTPS.

Page itself (HTML) loads correctly. The referenced (linked) files do not load, even though they are on the same server.

When I look at the Network Analysis tab, I see that the CSS and JSS files have no return codes, and show 0 Bytes transferred. It does not show the data coming from the cache. A detailed look at the request looks normal, the answer is not available. When I resend the request I get an answer, no problem.

No messages in the console.

It seems to have something to do with the server, when I deactivate certain WP plugins, the problem disappears. Perhaps the problem is worse when the server is slow... cannot prove this.

I am looking for what I can do on the Apache side to fix the problem.

No matter where I save a file the lastdir is always "/run/user/1000/doc/*some random folder name, that changes each time*".

manually changing browser.download.lastDir causes the next attempt to save to go to the desired folder, but a second attempt reverts to /run/user/1000/doc/abcd123.

Has anyone any idea whats going on?

I've been able to sync my firefox account on a university computer until 2 weeks ago. Now when i login to the university computer (in the classroom where I teach), my account "logs in" but nothing syncs (no bookmarks or passwords).

I haven't changed anything with my account. How can I access my synced info on this University computer?
