Hi everyone,

it's been 2 days now since every time I open Netflix and Amazon Prime videos won't play. A yellow bar saying: "The WidevineCdm plugin has crashed" keeps coming up!

I'm using Firefox and I'm on a MacbookPro.

I've tried everything: restarting/shutting down device; reinstalling Firefox; deleting widevine folder and activate it from the adds on page; tried on other browsers (works on safari but not on chrome); contacted Apple / Netflix / Amazon / Google nobody was able to help; I also ran these websites with my Mac in safe mode...nothing was able to resolve it.

What can I do to fix it please?

This started to happen out of the blue...I haven't installed anything! It was working fine until the day before...

I keep getting a widevinecdm error when trying to play hulu, netflix or amazon videos on my mac. This just started yesterday and I'm not sure why.

I'm running mozilla firefox version 78.10.0esr (64-bit) on a macbook pro running OS X version 10.9.5

Anyone have any fixes?

Recently, I've been unable to view paid for video, for example on Netflix. I get the following error message:

The WidevineCdm Plugin has crashed. FATAL Clpp-Error [Category 6 - Code 6002]: {"browserError":""}

I'm using a macOS 10.95 and, says Firefox,:

"Note: The current version of Google Widevine is no longer compatible with older macOS versions such as OS X 10.9 and 10.10. Only macOS versions 10.11 and above are supported."

So my question, since it seems my mac is no longer compatible with Widevine, is whether there a way for me to watch video on Firefox? Perhaps with another plugin? Or no plugin? Perhaps this is an issue to take up with Widevine?

I can no longer watch any streaming services on my computer. The message "The Widevine plug in has crashed..." It says it is because flash player crashed. I don't know how to fix it.

My Widevine CDM Plug-in just crashed! I checked my Firefox settings and it looks like the Widevine plug-in just updated late last night, and is up to date. I fear the new update might be incompatible with my Firefox 78.10.Oesr / or my OSX 10.9.5 but I'm not sure. I'm not a mac savvy person but I'm always ready to learn. Any help would be appreciated!

since the last automatic update of the Widevine Content Decryption Module (updated today, automatically) the plugin keeps crashing when I want to watch "TV" waipu.tv. I have already re-installed firefox etc, it just won't work.

I have submitted several crash reports, this is the latest: bp-7bc4b8a4-e59b-4f7e-a840-7c0720210422

I recently updated to 78.10.0 vers and now when I try to play Netflix I get the WidevineCdm crash message and Netflix won't play

I have refreshed Firefox and restarted my Mac several times and disabled the Adobe Shockwave player.

Nothing works.

When I try to use a platform like Netflix i get repeated error messages that WidevineCdm has crashed. This happens also in other browsers. I am not very tech savvy, but I've tried all the solutions I was able to understand on here and through Google, but nothing seems to fix the problem. Can any one advise?

I'm not able to stream any content on Netflix, Amazon Prime, channel 4, 5 using firefox. The error message is 'The widevine CDM plugin has crashed'. I looked up in preferences/ extensions and themes/ plug ins and it seems like the widevine CDM plug-in was automatically updated today (21.4.2021) and now it's crashing. My firefox is 78.10, the latest for OSX 10.9. Can anyone suggest how to resolve this ?

Hy, I can't play anymore video to netflix amazon and all. I have the last firefox version 78.10.10esr. with mac osx 10.9.5 Everything work well and since yesterday it's impossible to play video. I have this error message. Wath's happening

WidevineCdm plugin is crashing when I try to play videos on Netflix, Hulu, and Peacock. In the browser, Firefox 78.10.0esr on my Mac 10.9. A yellow strip at the top explains that the plugin crashed and asks me to send a report, which I do and asks me to restart the browser, which I do. Nothing works. I tried "safe mode." I tried clearing caches and what not. I think the browser was just updated today. I am totally unable to play videos on those web pages previous mentioned. I am able to watch youtube, however.

The Widevine CDM 4.10.2209.1 plugin crashes every time in Firefox 78 browser. Was updated on April 21, 2021, maybe it's a bug? I'm not able to uninstall the plugin. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

So, I have been having this issue for quite a while and I'm not sure how to fix it. The issue is whenever I try to stream video and/or music, the page shuts down and a little yellow bar appears at the top saying, " The WidevineCdm Plugin has crashed." And I'm not sure how to fix this. This happens when I am trying to stream certain things such as Hulu, Spotify, and Crunchyroll. I have tried various options like switching DRM on and off, submitting crash reports, and even restarting my my computer. But those don't work.

I have been watching netflix from my macbook air on firefox everyday and suddenly the video im watching abruptly stops and at the top of the page it says " WideVineCdm plug in crash" and at first refreshing the page would remedy the issue and i could resume my video but now refreshing doesn't do anything & I have spent literally all day trying to get back to what i was watching and it's so frustrating because all the tips on what to do are not helping at all and i am sure i am using the most updated version of firefox.. Help! Please!

I have a plugin that says its crashed it's the WidevineCdm plugin. I have tried submitting a crash report but it won't let me. I tried resetting the browser, re-downloading the browser nothing seems to help. What do I do?
