It is been like 6 or 7 months now since i move to new pc and i been using firefox in this new pc together with other browsers. I am not really using firefox for anything related to google or gmail but just other website that have 0 relation to them. But i have still logged in my main accounts in firefox. It is been twice that once in a while, when i have to check my gmail accounts, all of them disappear and all i see is just sign in page only. There is no log in again or Please log in to this address or that address but straight up fresh page of google sign in page. I still logged back in when it first happened because i heard about the bug that happened with firefox update but now it happen again. It is as if my cookies just vanished but no, other sites still got their own cookies and there is many cache of other website here. other than my google accounts. What is happening here. Is my firefox bugged or something? Should i reinstall and have to relogin everything "again?"

Since I upgraded from FF128-esr to FF140-esr I always get the "Firefox is being updated by another instance" This is really driving me crazy, as I checked / did / .... everything (and even more) I found on the internet related to that.

Creating and using a new default profile didn't help

Finally I ended up uninstalling FF completely (making sure no -zero- leftovers remained in ProgramFiles, AppData a.s.o.), and reinstalled FF140.7.0-esr freshly. After installation I started FF immediately with the created default profile (only existing one) --> SAME THING : "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

And this is really a FF140 thing, when I go back to FF128, on the same computer, same profiles, ...., the problem is gone.

I would like to know in detail what checks are really done by FF to decide to give that "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

Before facebook using reCAPTCHA I can easily logo in my Facebook and Instagram account, but now I always failed to pass the reCAPTCHA， I report this to Meta no good reply. Only today I did the reCAPTCHA and then got a reminder that facebook cannot detect the reCAPTCHA. I still cannot logo on to my facebook and instagram account due to reCAPTCHA. How can I solve this problem. Thx

The new "Copy Link to Highlight" button shifted the "search with" option down, which I use regularly.

I'm not entirely sure what the new option does, but I would like to either disable it or shift it further down out of the way

unable to get Download Helper to initialize in my Firefox browser. i have checked and rechecked so many things. how can i fix this so i can dl videos from the internet and watch them?

Sure enough, the HTML bears corresponding URLS with cid: schema. I have just moved from an old laptop to a newer one - a Lenovo Thinkpad. I have installed Linux Mint and successfully transferred my files and Thunderbird. I also synchronized Firefox and all my add-ons, bookmarks and history came across perfectly. While setting up the toolbar from the customise screen I dragged the home page button onto the toolbar and it just disappeared. The home page is set up in settings. It appears the first time I open a window. I would like to be able to go back to my home page at will, how can I re-instate the home page button?

Hello, I have noticed that using firefox without closing the browser for a while causes the memory to keep rising. It looks like it has a memory leak. After 3 days of watching YouTube I was using 4GB of memory. It was causing Slow Downs.

I have included 2 images with what is actually running and I have 2 Tabs in Standard Browser of Google and this Tab for this report then a YouTube dedicated browser using split tab.

The instructions for changing country in built in VPN do not work as after clicking on icon it states open VPN and nothing happens to open it. I am trying to set France as my country.

I can't log into my Google account using Firefox. Can log in on Chrome using the same device so I don't think the device is the problem. It was fine until about an hour ago. When I attempted to click on a YouTube tab the tab closed. Any attempt to log in redirects me to a Google support page about deleting my cache and cookies. Which I've already done multiple times and I still can't log in.

I tried to login to Autodesk for some discussion about file retention, etc. I logged in using my user id and password and then Autodesk sent me a code as a two factor identification function. When the page opened the place to enter the code it looked like the image that I have attached. I could not enter the code supplied by Autodesk as FireFox kept trying to get me to do something with email masks. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Has Firefox's interface gotten smaller? The tabs and search bar are much more difficult for me to read now, and the symbols are extra tiny. I cannot figure out how to enlarge them, since zooming in only affects individual web pages. I tried looking in Settings, specifically the Accessibility section, but I cannot find a way to enlarge this part of the web browser. Help!
