For about the past 10 days or so Tbird has been presenting me with a request for my user name and password for, i am assuming, inclusion as an added account. They want

The problem is that in have no idea who caldav is or where they got my link to Tbird. My concern is that this may well be malicious. They want me to authenticate with username and password. What user name and what password?

Does anyone in the forum know what this is all about and how i can get them permanently excluded? With all the fake / criminal challenges on the net these days, i am very nervous (77 years old).

Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you

Why was it done? Is there a setting I can change so I can see them work as animated favicons? Will you change this on your next update? Otherwise, I am going to have to roll-back the version.

I find a website I like, I add to bookmarks, chose a location, add some tags and save.

Next I look for bookmark to verify it saved and it is not in folder it was saved into.

I open Bookmarks and search for this newly created bookmark and it is not in the correct location, it is in another folder, or past the folder in a tree that is not seen under the drop-down up under address bar, only through searching via Bookmarks. After I searched and I had found it, I chose open in folder, saw its position and dragged it to the folder and position I wanted it to be, then close the search, use the drop down folders in bookmark bar and not there. ??

Go back to Bookmark search, find it and it is shown to be where I last dragged it, but it is not there unless I search for it.

So not sure what is going on with bookmarks, but after saving they are not saved where I directed them to save and I am losing my bookmarks to some void in my bookmark manager.

lost all bookmarks and can not add them back. tried the restarting, importing from Google, etc. Sadly I am off of Firefox after more than 20 years using it. Fortunately Google works fine for me, but I miss Firfox.

Hi, Since three or four months, whenever I log into Outlook live, either on Mac or Windows PC, I get a security warning saying that the information will not be secure (Please see attachment.) When I log into the same account, from Edge for example, I do not get the warning popup. I really enjoy using Firefox and would love to continue but this case is worrying me a bit. Any idea to help? So, after using firefox in the background to browse websites or watch videos I checked my memory usage in firefox with about:memory -> Measure and saw that youtube was consuming a decent amount >2GB (checked the main url when clicking the youtube src, it was the video on that sole tab i was watching and nothing else playing youtube in the bg) so i closed that tab, waited a bit and re-measured but then see that the memory usage for youtube rose about 200MB... and the website for youtube is that same url for the tab that i just closed (when checking the src in the results for Measure). I've been revisiting the about:memory page, reloaded it and re-Measured and youtube is STILL THERE. Even now, 10 minutes later i still see youtube there, with none of my tabs running youtube.

If i close firefox entirely and re-open my tabs then it'll very likely fix it but this has to be a major issue no? I shouldn't have to close the entire browser program just to fix a website visit, which is youtube of all websites.

As of this moment, firefox, with 8 tabs open, is consuming 4,452.99MB (~4.5GB) where 2.5GB is youtube for that page i closed.

I don't know if sharing memory reports from the about:memory page give my cookies away or leave me open to a similar vulnerability so I won't share it unless a dev or similar asks for it but for now, I've included an image showing all the tabs i have open on firefox, 2 windows.

After running updates and restarting my computer, I am no longer able to open my common websites used frequently. I don't know how to fix this problem. The search bar runs until it times out.

My Firefox sometimes freezes in the evenings when using AOL Mail and Facebook. I put this down to my old and slow PC. But I now have a brand new PC working on Windows 11 and all seemed fine, but it happened again this evening. I then logged into Facebook using MS Edge and it was working fine.

I use Thunderbird for work. I have several email accounts configured in it, including Gmail, my company's email, and Outlook. I recently added a new Outlook account, and I haven't been able to send a single message. The error I'm receiving is the one described in the title. It's worth noting that I have another Outlook account working perfectly. I've tried every solution I've found online, and none of them have worked, including enabling SMTP in the account settings, making sure OAUTH is enabled, using smtp.outlook.com or smtp.office365.com instead of smtp.mail.outlook.com, enabling two-factor authentication, changing my password multiple times, etc.

When I start Firefox on Windows it does not open all the Windows it had last time even though that option is selected in settings. It seems random on which Windows open.

Then I start one Window at a time and restore my tabs from bookmarks. Once I have done that I have all the Windows in the order I want, with the tabs I want.

Then for no apparent reason some of the Windows disappear and/or the Windows change order. This is very frustrating.

How do I get Firefox to always open the Windows in the correct order and keep them displayed in that order?
