Hi,

I am trying to synchronise my web browser on my phone to my laptop, but when I try to do so using the QR code I get an error saying I need to use a Mozilla app to do it rather than my phone camera app (see attached)

I can’t find anywhere in my Firefox browser settings this app!

Help!!

I have two separate Firefox accounts, with separate emails to log in and their own sets of bookmarks, passwords, etc. I want to merge all the data from both of those into a single profile of a single account under just one of the emails.

I'm pretty sure I've done this before, by: 1. Logging into account A and syncing. 2. Logging out of account A without deleting data. 3. Logging into account B and syncing. With the result that account B now contains all its original data plus all the data from account A.

But when I just tried to do this process now, at the point of logging in to account B I got the error "Account limit reached for this profile. This profile was previously synced to a different account. To keep your data organised and secure, each Firefox profile can only be synchronised to one account. To sign in using [account B], create a new profile."

I don't want to have separate profiles with the data from accounts A and B, I want it all merged into the same profile. How can I achieve this?

I use Firefox app in macos, android and ipados. The bookmarks across them are not synching automatically. I need to press sync manuelly to do. All apps are updated, all settings look fine. Please help me synch bookmarks across platforms. Thanks a lot.

When I'm on my phone and signed into my Firefox I want to be able to send tabs to my desktop. I'll click the three dots on my Samsung 20fe, click share, and click send to device. My p.c. is listed and when i click on it, a box pop's up and says "tab sent. I don't know where it's going, but it's not making it to my desk top. I've tried logging out and logging back in. on both devises

I was having some weird issues with Firefox on my iPhone so I deleted the app and reinstalled it. I expected that when I logged into my account it would sync all my data including passwords. That doesn’t seem to be the case. Is there another way to recover my passwords? I assumed they were account based not device based. Help!

Backup and sync is not working on the phone and it's starting to piss me off beyond belief because this is why I got rid of Firefox in the first goddamn place. The sync button is not working at all I cannot get it to sync at all to my desktop nothing is working and I can't access my passwords I can't access nothing.

bold text all my passwords seem to have disappered on my desktop, I checked my mobie app and they were there. there was a message to sync this morning on sign in.

After the last update, I lost the toolbar bookmarks and passwords. After some time I was able to figure out how to sync them from my mobile. When I closed FF on my desktop, I lost the sync. Now I get an error when I try to sync. Your last update (using flawed AI, I presume) sucks and has rendered the browser I have used for years. I used your "help" page to recover once, but as soon as I closed the browser, it reverted to no bookmarks, no passwords. I don't want to use MS browsers because FF has served very well for years. Sorry but WTF are you thinking?

Everything is gone, I have had to reinstall windows 4 times in the last week with a new PC and now all my sync data is gone...Chrome remembers everything fine and Mozilla did remember everything until this install and now its not syncing anything.

If this stuff is gone so am I.

Have tried logging in with my google account, tried logging in with Moz account, tried sync button over and over tried restarting, tried uninstalling and reinstalling and manually deleting all the folders STILL NO SYNC DATA AT ALL.......

The android UI was updated in recent Firefox updates and it is now impossible to enable sync from an Android phone due to this change.

According to Firefox during setup the proper steps are:

1. Open firefox on your mobile device. 2. Go to the menu and tap "Sign In" 3. Tap Ready to Scan and hold your phone over this code.

The new android UI does not have one universal menu. Instead it includes a list that lets me:

• Bookmark a Page
• Find in Page
• Turn on Desktop Mode
• manage Extensions
• "More"

It also features:

• My Name for managing and backup/sync
• Settings

I'll enumerate the issues with this.

If I select More. This is different than the more settings options under "Settings". It allows me to:

• Translate the Page
• Add to Shortcuts
• Add to Home Screeen
• Save to Collection
• Open in App
• Save to PDF
• Print

All of these are irrelevant.

If I select my Account, the most obvious of these ambiguous choices. I can:

• Manage Account
• Sync Now
• Change the Device Name
• Sign Out
• Choose what to sync.

There is NO option here to scan a QR code. Manage Account leaves the app and opens a mozilla account webpage. None of these options work.

If I select "Settings" I receive a large list of useless options - none of which allow me to scan a QR code.

Since scanning the QR code is the ONLY way to enable syncing via the mobile app am I understanding correctly that Firefox has removed this feature and is mistakenly still advertising a deprecated feature inside their MacOS app which prevents me from actually ever signing in to my account.

If this is intended to still be a feature. How do I do it? The instructions are unclear and your UI does not help in any way to figure out how to navigate to the correct place where I might possibly be able to move forward in any manageable way.

Hi, how can i sync my account but i have no access to my e mail because it got deleted? I am still able to log into firefox but now it doesnt let me sync. i deleted my email because it disconnected everytime i tried to login to the firefox browser the password was invalid.

Can you help providing a sync from the last 30days. Using a backup computer as my current computer is being repaired and bookmarks/passwords will no sync on this machine

I signed in to my account on a new PC and it asked something about if I have mobile phone and I said yes so it gave me a pop-up wit the following text: "Sync Firefox on your phone or tablet 1. Open Firefox on your mobile device 2. Go to the menu and tap Sign in 3. Tap Ready to Scan and hold your phone over this code" And I get stuck on step 2 I can't find a Sign In button, attached an image of what clicking the menu (...) button shows. So how exactly do I tell firefox that I want to sync between this machine and my mobile? I do have it working nicely with my laptop but I don't remember how exactly did I sync that, I kind of assumed just signing into the account would be enough enough but based on this pop-up it isn't.

I am unable to recover the original profile files, and this is not me trying to recover that; they are just gone completely so, I can't bring that original profile back to fix this. I have refreshed, uninstalled, signed out, closed the tabs from my sync list, etc, but I can't get this to go away. I don't know what to do.
