I use the filters in Thunderbird a lot, so I am familiar with the setup. I need to automatically forward a message to my wife if it comes in from a specific email address. I cannot see a way to do this. Is it possible?

When I delete mails they remain in the Gmail All Mails folder. I have set the setting to move deleted messages to Trash (attached) and I always Empty the Trash manually. In All Mail all the deleted mails are present. In the attached screendump from Gmail webmail it is the mails without any labels in front. (I have unsubscribed to All Mails in TB, but previously these messages would show up as only present i All Mail when searched in TB). Is there a synchronization problem? I have noted that there are two Trash folders in Gmail webmail: 1. in:trash (where Gmail webmail is putting deleted mails which do NOT show up in All Mails) and 2. label:[imap]-trash (where TB is putting deleted mails which DO show up in All Mails). Is that the problem?

Additional question: is there an easy way to permanently delete the mails without label i All Mails?

I get the messgae 'Unable to write email to the mailbox...make sure the file system allows you write priviledges and you have enough disk space.' When I looked at the errors Thunderbird recorded I found thei:

I recently had to restore my thunderbird app as I had issues with my laptop. I do not run Avast...I have tried the 'repair' option in folder properties in thunderbird. Nothing seems to help. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me. I have been using Thunderbird for....well it has been aloooong time and I have never had any issues with it previously. I am running WIn 11 Pro.

I'm a longtime Thunderbird user. Today, it stopped working to send messages. (I can still receive messages OK.) When I try to send, it does the spell-check, but then doesn't do anything. The message remains open but unsent. In case it's helpful, my account info says IMAP mail server, SSL/TLS connection security, OAuth2 authentication,

Though I was successful at getting Yahoo to install- I could NOT get my tuta mail account nor my Zoho mail account to install and run. I don't understand why- any solution posted on AI are too technical for me to understand and invest soo much time to try and figure out. Can I please get some help to activate my accounts here ? There used to be a way to block sending an e-mail to a particular recipient, how can I do this now? When using reply to, there is a defaut address that is used that causes an error. I need thunderbird to block this recipient ( only from sending as they are the default sender ). Thunderbird used to have this option for "sending rules" but it appears to have been removed.

I tried everything and I mean everything and I am still getting this error shown in the image attached. Can someone help?

• I removed saved passwords
• Un installed and re-installed thunderbird
• created new profile

P.s. This is an office 365 account

I have new e-mails from some company. I can search for the company and the e-mails show up (as recently as today) but in the list I only see e-mails as recent as 35 days ago. I see TB periodically download new messages but they don't show in the list. I have searched all over for a solution and nothing has worked. I have no Message Filters and I have no Quick Filters active. I have tried both repairing and compacting the Inbox. Does anyone have anything else I can try?

I upgraded my Fedora nad I think that Thunderbird 149 came with that upgrade. I cannot send mails. Ctrl+enter has no reaction. Downgraded to 148 and everyhing is fine. |<

Just started to use Thunderbird mail app on Android smartphone but it doesn't seem to be showing badge count for new emails & seems to be delayed in receiving new emails.

I have double checked the settings but cannot identify the correct setting to receive emails straight away?

I tried to connect to my personal outlook email account on a fresh installation of thunderbird mobile. The setup wizard gave the correct configuration as described in microsoft's official documentation. But the following error occured: Authentication unsuccessful, SmtpClientAuthentication is disabled for the Mailbox.

IMAP is enabled in microsoft's mail account settings on outlook.com.

Hi I have a hotmail account registered to my Thunderbird account, I receive mail. OK but it won't send mail comes up with error "unable to connect". Followed by:- (Should be a screenshot but it wont load?)

which says "Sending message failed The message could not be sent connection to server SMTP timed out."

This is a new occurrence not experienced before?

If I go to webmail it will send OK?

Have an AT&T email account on 3 computers. Two of them running windows 10. One mqchine running windows 11. On the windows 11 machine, we set up a new email account and it doesn’t work. Sometimes you cannot send or receive. We delete that account and create a new one and sometimes it receives but does not send. It asks us to retry or enter a new password. We enter the password and still fails to authenticate. We tried setting it up as POP other times as SMTP. Still fails. Sometimes we get a yahoo pop up to help us set up the new email account but most times that yahoo pop up does not appear. We tried to match the setting of the windows 10 computer exactly and still doesn’t work.

Sometimes we get it to work using the above methods but fails after 1-2 weeks.

Any insights?
