Hello Magda, Thanks for the answer to my error message I wrote to you yesterday about a problem with the Thunderbird program. I don't want to repeat everything I've written, but I would really like to get someone who knows Thunderbird to provide an answer to solve my problem; Otherwise, I will delete the app on all of our computers in the company. (We work on 3 Windows computers and 2 Mac devices.) The error occurs on the Windows devices. I ask you not to refer me to any forum again; I didn't have a good experience there. The colleague needs the email program; Unfortunately, you cannot send or receive emails. The installation of Thunderbird has always been flawless, but for about 3 weeks now the window asking you to enter the password has appeared again and again. However, if you enter it correctly, an error message appears.

Ich möchte nicht alles wiederholen, was ich geschrieben habe, aber ich möchte sehr gerne erreichen, dass jemand, der Thunderbird kennt, eine Antwort gibt, damit mein Problem gelöst wird; ansonsten werde ich die App auf allen unseren Rechnern in der Firma löschen. (Wir arbeiten an 3 Windows-Rechnern und an 2 Mac-Geräten.) Der Fehler tritt bei den Windows-Geräten auf. Ich bitte Sie, mich nicht wieder an irgendein Forum zu verweisen; da habe ich keine gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Die Kollegin und die Kollegen brauchen das E-Mail-Programm; leider können sie keine Mails senden und auch nicht empfangen. Die Installation von Thunderbird war immer einwandfrei, nun erscheint seit ca. 3 Wochen immer wieder das Fenster mit der Aufforderung, das Passwort einzugeben. Wenn man es richtig eingibt, erscheint aber eine Fehlermeldung.

up until a few months ago, Thunderbird opened jpg/jpeg images inline, that is in the message window. Instead I get an empty white box where the image SHOULD have displayed. The only option now available appears to open the attached image with PHOTOS which takes longer as Thunderbird has to call photos to load the image. Also it takes longer to actually display the image. So what happened?

My current work-around to this issue is to drag/drop the attached image to my photo editor which loads rather quickly. Much faster than photos.

To identify myself I had to scan a qr code on a website using my phone. This used to work in firefox but it doesn't anymore. It still works in edge. I'm using firefox 119.0.1 x64 on windows 11 home 22H2. How can I fix this?

I have had a Thunderbird email program for several years. Recently, when I send an email a copy of it is not saved in the "Sent" folder. My emails are received by reciepents. How do I fix the problem?

Today i found that there is a htm file in my Downloads folder which I haven’t download it. The name is 65k7m58G.htm with zero bytes size. I opened it with notepad and is completely empty. I’ve checked my downloads window in FF (ctrl+j) to see where that file downloaded from but it’s nothing there!

Is there any known bug that generates empty htm file in Downloads folder?

by the way I checked my whole system with Eset smart security and everything sounds good.

I want to uninstall thunderbird but i keep getting the reboot message saying the laptop needs to reboot after upgrade.It is also set as a default mail on sending any emails with attachments as PDF.Have tried rebooting laptop many times to no avail. Am not computer literate

I have an html signature, I made it several years ago. I have NO IDEA how I did it, and now it needs to be changed. My district is different. Can't change it from within Tbird. Would somebody please let me know where I can find that signature html?

Thunderbird seems to have so many minor changes and alterations in the recent past, that basic usability is affected. Not a good thing.

Once before, a few years ago, Thunderbird got so out of control that I had to go to a different mail client. Are we back to that?

I downloaded an update to my email. And it screwed it all up. I'm sick of going to my web mail to send out new messages, whenever someone e-mails me. My Thunderbird receives the e-mail's, but won't send them out? I haven't changed anything on the settings. Right now they are set to... and I've included a picture of my updates. Thank you.

Question about Thunderbird 115.4.1 and Gmail. In the "All Mail" folder... I delete messages - but only to see them still there the next day. I tried empty trash as well as compact folder and expunge - but I clearly am doing something wrong. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and help me?! I also tried both moving to trash folder in different directory as well as "delete immediately" in Account settings.

I have donated. but I keep being asked to donate almost everyday. when that happens my email settings change, its very frustrating. I am a senior, I donate what I can but I can't donate daily or weekly. Numerous users of Thunderbird have expressed their total dissatisfaction with the recent upgrade, especially the new font and layout in the email lists. Why has the Mozilla team ignored requests to return to the previous load to restore the font and list displays? Do you expect users to support your product when they totally do not like the new version?

There is an email account profile on my Thunderbird email program and I simply cannot get rid of it. I have tried everything including running the program as an administrator and nothing works. None of the instructions to remove an email account anywhere on this forum works. When I go into the account settings, there absolutely no selection for me to remove a particular email account/profile from Thunderbird. I have removed Thunderbird, wiped out all traces and profiles for Thunderbird, reinstalled Thunderbird and this particular account keeps coming back. I bought a new computer, installed Thunderbird on that, and this particular email account suddenly appears on the new installation on a new computer. I can't get rid of it. I brought both computers to a technician and they scanned for viruses, trojans, etc., etc., etc., and there is nothing there, but this email address account keeps coming back on any computer I have installed Thunderbird, including new computers that are new out of the box. The email account I want to remove is clogged with spam and tying up my internet connection and the ISP (Charter Communications) will not help me by eliminating this particular email account. I have followed multiple instructions I have found on this forum about how to remove an unwanted email account from Thunderbird and not a single one works because the selection to do this does not exist in Thunderbird. All I get is asked for a password for the email address that the ISP says doesn't exist, but it is being flooded with hundreds of thousands of emails that get sent to this email address in my Thunderbird program. Every time I run Thunderbird, it locks into this particular account and downloads emails until my hard drive is full and crashes. Is there a way to get rid of this email account on Thunderbird or do I just remove the whole program from my computer and use something else?

You somehow have old, outdated information in your system. Your new browser requires me to log into a facebook account I closed 10 years ago. My password for my current account named, "VangiePangie", now opens a closed account named "Evangeline Custis". I no longer have access to my VangiePangie account with any password. So, I no longer want this new upgraded Firefox account. I want to have my old Firefox account as a default on my desktop. Right now it's an icon at the bottom of the screen, and I can only use it to open one thing at a time. Please give me back my old Firefox browser. I'll struggle with Facebook to get my password to work on my VangiePangie account. I have access to the VangiePangie account right now, because it was never logged out in my old Firefox browser and is in my Bookmarks. But if I am forced to log out, or if Facebook does a security check, I won't have access ever again. Please help me with this. Below is my VangiePangie Profile pic.

After decades of using Thunderbird it has amassed contacts. Even for my own contact it saves a contact like "lynn@szetosolutions". incomplete email addresses, or associated with DMV...just for my own email it has saved 7 versions and or affiliations. I want to clean up and remove the excess, inaccurate email addresses that keep auto filling my emails and reduce the constant annoyance. Can someone help me? I'm so grateful for any help.
