So, suddenly Thunderbird stopped downloading my Hotmail emails saying password was invalid. I use POP settings and realise that two step authentication can be a problem but even deleting the old password in the password manager and obtaining a new app password doesn't work. I've also tried turning my antivirus (Avast) off to no effect. Is there something I need to do in the troubleshooting side of Thunderbird before I can resubmit the new Hotmail password? By the way it seems to work with IMAP settings but not the POP settings.

Hello I was attempting to backup my c-drive documents to onedrive when my computer crashed. When I turned it back on I could no longer access any of the files I had attempted to back up on my C-drive (panic!). I looked online for advice and followed advice to unlink Onedrive and restart. I did this and managed to find my C-drive files (phew) but the whole of my desktop and browser history, passwords, bookmarks etc has been completely wiped. There is some really important things in there and I would really like to get it back. Any help much appreciated...I am not tech minded so any advice as simply put as possible please....

This problem only occures on a few of my customers computers.

Computers mainly Windows 10. I have one customer who bought a new PC with Windows Professional who has this problem. Another who got the problem after the 78.6.1 update??

It only affects users when they send without the MAPI_LOGON_UI. Below DIALOG = 0 when the error is generated.

I have a customer who wants to send 1000 emails. Hw doesn't want to press send 1000 times.

Hi,

I have 2gb storage on thunderbird and was coming close to my limit so I asked Thunderbird to delete all but my most recent 2000 emails. Thunderbird has deleted all but the 2000 oldest emails and this is on my work email. I didnt back up my folder as I didnt presume it would delete the newest ones. Is there a way to restore it back to how it was, say an hour ago?

I no longer have a Trash folder for my one account. As a result, when I click 'Delete' it goes into the ethersphere. In my other account, every thing works as is.

I tried just creating a 'trash' folder, but that didn't work.

What happened and how do I get it back? Occasionally, I might need one of those.

The latest version (78.6.1(32 bit) installed today) appears to have introduced a bug in the Today Pane Task List. For tasks which regularly repeat (eg monthly/quarterly/annually) the task list now shows (in red) every previous occurrence even though they are historic and have been ticked off as completed

The scroll wheel is not working in Firefox. It works in other programs, so it is not a problem with my mouse.

It just started today. I have cleared my data and cookies, and restarted Firefox. I have not installed any new extensions in months.

This is a serious usability issue. I will have to switch to another browser, that will allow the use of the scroll wheel.

My hotmail account, which was what I used to set up my Firefox account, was hacked and then deleted. I can not log in to Firefox - I am locked out. How can I delete that email or that account and set up a new one? Nothing seems real intuitive here...

I recently switched host accounts from justhost to hostgator. Everything was working correctly until this morning. Every time I try to send a message I get an error that reads...

Sending of the message failed. Failed due to unexpected error 80004005. No description is available. The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) gator3094.hostgator.com for an unknown reason. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

I talked with hostgator and everything is set up correctly on their end.

I'm running Windows 10 on a Surface Pro like device (it's a Vaio Canvas). I have a bluetooth keyboard that is always connected, but I often just use it as a tablet. I've tried disconnecting the physical keyboard but I still get the same behaviour.

Using touchscreen, I select a text box (or URL bar/search box etc), normally the On-screen Keybard (OSK) comes up and lets me type. Right now, with FF it pops up and then promptly disappears.

This makes FF completely unusable using touchscreen/tablet mode. I have switched to using chrome on this device - I've tested other browsers too and none exhibit this behaviour. Could it be my settings?

J'utilise Avast Premium comme antivirus et parfe-feu. Depuis un certain temps, chaque fois que j'utilise Thunderbird (v.78.6.1) j'ai le message "la connexion a été réinitialisée". Je suis obligé de me déconnecter du réseau et de rétablir une nouvelle connexion. Et celle-ci ne dure pas : le temps de réécrire un nouveau message et je suis de nouveau obligé de me déconnecter et de rétablir une connexion. J'ai lu sur le web que ce pouvait être du au pare-feu : quel est le paramètre à modifier ?

Esempio: ......'E’ molto importante far presente a voi soci che, se ben leggete la mia ultima mail di due giorni fa ( 16 gennaio ), io avevo si dato disponibilità ad un eventuale incontro con le mie sorelle e mio fratello, solo una volta in possesso però del conto economico, dello stato patrimoniale, nonché delle risposte chiarificatrici a quelle domande che, legittimamente, avevo posto al nostro amministratore, semplicemente al fine di poter presenziare tutti noi alla riunione adeguatamente informati  in merito all’attuale situazione della nostra societÃ' .

I am part of a charity organisation which is using Google Drive to store records in the "cloud" and a means of multiple members accessing those files. A form has been created which needs a date to be entered. The form was created by another person with a drop down calendar or by entering the date using dd/mm/yyyy. When I open the form through Google Drive on my computer using Firefox (my browser of choice)the drop down calendar does not operate and the date is formatted MM/DD/YYYY. Through "Options" on the home page the language is set to English (Great Britain) and the date is said to be taken from my Windows settings. My Windows settings for the date formatting are correct at dd/mm/yyyy. If I change browsers to Chrome the form is accessible with its correct formatting. Your assistance would be appreciated
