Since a few days I'm unable to download or re-install Firefox on my laptop. This follows performance problems which I wanted to solve by uninstalling / reinstalling the browser. The installing process ultimately times out.

I uninstalled my Firefox to fix an issue & now I’m trying to reinstall but it tells me, Profile missing. “your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.”

I have an Amazon Fire HD (12th gen) and want to use Global Privacy Control. Firefox appeared to be the best option, and I like using Firefox.

I'm instructed to install using Google Play. Went through various error messages on Google (eg, no linked Google account). But I do have a Google account linked to my Fire, through a gmail account.

Finally, Google informed me I cannot download from Google Play to a Fire Device. (I had already allowed Silk to install unknown apps, in Settings.)

The Amazon app store doesn't have Firefox.

What can I do, ideally to install Firefox, but minimally, to use Global Privacy Control on my Fire?

Hello I have had Mozilla firefox for yrs and love it. I have Proton VPN too. I just saw your note to update to mozilla VPN. I tried to do it but message said 'you already have mozilla" , 'do you wnat to replace?" The amazing to me as I would think this the questions come up to numerous people who are trying to replace it Or rather get your VPN. I have now downloaded Duckduck as my browser but I really want to have Mozilla's own browser, not a Microsoft-owned or Google browser. Every time I try to download the Mozilla browser I am told it has been interrupted - always when it is two-thirds of the way through the installation process. Why ?

Hello, the official mozilla page instructions for how to download Firefox for Linux (Debian 13) is wrong, it fails on Step 3 saying that the key verification is incorrect thus I have not tried the steps after 3.

I know Debian 13 comes with Firefox ESR but from my research this is packaged and maintained by Debian, I would prefer it if all my eggs were not in one basket and I actually had the real source maintainer updating my browser aka Mozilla.

I don't know what else to say, it is just incorrectly written or something, because Brave Browsers installation instructions are SOO much better and simpler, super easy works 10/10 times, and it's way fewer commands.

I was able to install it on my Mac mini running OS mountain lion with no problem but This is the error message I keep getting on my IMAC OS10.15.7 Catalina (attached): current browser is safari ver 15.6.1. Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Currently the Helper tool blocks my use of firefox on nonAdmin desktops, and in doing so, looks like a spoofing scam popup seeking my password. After updating Firefox to 148.0 on my M4 MacMini Sequoia 15.7.4, using an Admin account/desktop, on Firefox launch on a non admin desktop, the helper tool popup requests admin credentials !?!? As a 74yrOldNontechie Mac user since 1984, I thought that in the Mac world, when an Admin installs software on one desktop, that application then crosses all desktops used on that machine, ie if the software is really installed, even nonAdmin desktops should already have the Helper Tool. My internet facing desktops are never admins, hoping to deny Admin powers to any Internet attacks on my internet facing desktops, and my rarely used admin desktop goes on the net only for software download access/updates. How do I get Firefox to work on my NonAdmin desktops? Why does the firefox install NOT include the helper tool on nonAdmin desktops?

I am trying to follow the guide linked to install Firefox on an older Chromebook. It looks like the device should be supported, as running the command cat /etc/os-release returns that it is version 10. When I get to step 4 and try and run that I get a permission denied error and later steps do not work.

I did try the Google play option on the Chromebook, it says the device is not supported.

Firefox was my default browser until I had to install Microsoft 365, which I think is repeatedly blocking my attempt to restore Firefox as my default browser. Every time I try to download it stops two-thirds of the way through.

I seem to be unable to install Firefox on my Windows 11 desktop because there is apparently an old version already on my computer. I wish to reinstall Firefox with your help
