For some time now, e-mails have been arriving with a delay, e.g. from April 15, they arrived only on April 18. The mail is on the home.pl server pinned via IMAP.

Hey, so, I've seen this question a couple times when I searched, but (a) there didn't seem to be any solution and (b) they were all regarding Macs and I'm on Windows 11 v 23H2. I keep getting bubbles saying that Firefox wasn't able to check for updates- not that it couldn't download or install updates, but it couldn't search for one. I also did the "about Firefox" thing and it gives me the same message. Both of these have been going on for a couple days and I have attempted restarting Firefox multiple times and did a manual update [125.0.1 (64-bit)] just in case there was a problem there. Now, I've tried the tips from the other threads (turning off the proxy, checking any anti-update policies, and checking the add.update.url in the config settings) with no luck. So in an effort to either bump the question or get any Windows oriented answers... Thanks muchly

In the Firefox settings, it says "Account disconnected" so I click the sign in button, it opens the Mozilla website, and I successfully sign into my account online. Yet the browser still says disconnected. I've tried a few times. How do I fix this?

I can't use Thunderbird any more. I open an email and I get 7 copies up across the top of the screen. Delete does not get rid of them, and I am up to over 50 at this point. Please contact me directly at [removed phone# from public support forum] when you have fixed this. For reasons I have just outlined, email is not a good way to communicate.

I assume that everyone else is experiencing this disaster.

I have had message filters set up for a long time. Recently I tried to make some changes (adding one filter, deleting others, changing the response). I find that if I close Thunderbird and reopen it, all my changes are gone! How can I get the filter changes to stick?

I have firefox for android, and I have ublock origin, which is great.

However, firefox seems to refresh constantly- even if I minimize it than return instantly- it automatically goes into a refresh mode, it refreshes randomly while scrolling- I wish I coudl completely turn this "feature" off across all browsers.

I cannot state how many times I have lost VITAL data from this annoying random refreshing.

It should be an option to completely disable refreshing of ANY kind, rather than forcing it down our throats, and losing time, and data. If I want to see new content I will refresh it myself/ re enable the option. I was hoping this ridiculous "feature" would be phased out when humanity pulled its head out, but apparently- it's gotten even worse, now.

Thunderbird runs slow...ie when I type an email I can easily type faster than thunderbird will accept characters....(this does not happen in other applications)...this happened about a month ago, and then stopped ( I have no idea why)...but the problem is back. I am running Ver 115.10.0 build 2024012173147. Rebooting windows 11 makes no difference.... I just tried to enter Troubleshoot mode and thunderbird stopped responding....Top line says Mozilla Thunderbird (Not Responding). Thunderbird is connected to my gmail account. ...and I run IMAP....with 'store all messages on the computer', but thunderbird wants to load every email from the server'

When I watch a youtube video with chrome my cpu usage is 20-30% When I do the same with firefox my cpu usage is 50%

Running `about:support` and going into `webrender_compositor` I get the following errors under `env`: 1. Blocklisted by gfxInfo 2. Blocklisted; failure code 3. FEATURE_FAILURE_WEBRENDER_COMPOSITOR_DISABLED

I have set almost all these force renders = True and even granted gpu access to firefox flathub but still no difference in performance. I am asking now because I am just going in circles in the rabbit hole.

When I click on an email, I get a bunch of copies across the top of my screen. They are impossible to get rid of, even if I close Thunderbird and re-open it. Please fix it quickly, as it is almost impossible to use!!!!!

Firefox crashed and now will not open without crashing. I have trashed it and re-installed but still getting this error and cannot use the application. It will not open in Trouble Shoot mode. I even removed all files in the Library/Application Support

when I search for a page after opening a tab. The page will load slowly then stop. I'll then have to hit enter again for the page the load. This does not happen with Chrome or Edge. Any ideas how to fix this frustrating issue. Thanks.

I keep getting this message that pops up in a private window to restart to keep using firefox. Everytime I click restart Firefox, it closes my tabs and opens them again. However, 5 minutes later the window pops up again. Even after repeated attempts of updating, even doing a full restart on the computer, Firefox continues to send this window to me. The private window in the bar says about:restartrequired.

I've tried uninstalling Firefox with a fresh install as well as doing a Refresh of Firefox. Neither seem to solve this problem.

I'm not sure why, sometimes the status bar clock and stuff do hide, but I just can't seem to figure out how to get them to hide every time, and they usually don't. I've already tried disabling picture in picture for the app but that isn't noticeably helping. Full screen video is supposed to hide those, right? What are the reasons it wouldn't?

Has anyone seen a message similar to this when trying to attach a document, usually a pdf to an email?

O:\XXXXXXXXXX.pdf could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences.

Also, when someone send me an image file, I can't open it directly from the email. I have to download it and then open it. This isn't as big of an issue as the above, but I thought I'd ask it too.

Windows 10 Thunderbird 115.10.0

I have boon using Firefox as my primary browser for a very long time. Now, every time I start Firefox, I get a message that update failed, and that I should manually download the update file and run it. I do so, the update appears to work, and firefox behaves, until I stop it and restart again. Then I get the same message. I looked on line - it appears that others have had this problem, but no clear solution. I am not willing to use Edge, but am beginning to wonder if it is time to leave Firefox. WIndows 11 64, AMD processor, 64 GB ram. Connected via ethernet and fiber. NordVPN, and Bitdefender (neither of which has produced any error messages).

I have an issue with using newgroups via NNTP server in Thunderbird. News only load during startup of the program. Whenever the option Get Messages is chosen later, or when it is automatically run by the program, the process seems to get stuck in a loading state. In this state neither can new messages be read (the headers seem to be there and are shown, but the body of the message isn't), nor can new messages be sent (message sending gets stuck in status "Assembling Message")

This has been the case for a few releases already, and is currently present on 115.10.0 (64bit)

About 2 weeks ago, Thunderbird stopped sending emails. I spent a couple of hours on the phone with tech support but was unable to correct the issue. Changed all of the settings several times, SMTP server, port, security and authentication without success. Tech support suggested using their server but that's a pain. Starting Friday April 19, I have been experiencing constant very brief internet outages/reconnections while using Facebook on the desktop. The outages do not occur anywhere else on the internet...and do not occur on other browsers. I prefer to use Firefox. I am using Windows 11.

I was a bit surprised that I found some mozilla kraken benchmark 1.1 results that were somewhat better than mine (despite being done on the same mobile SoC as mine)

I then read closely that the better score was made on the Chrome Mobile browser.

I then installed Chrome on my mobile and also suddenly got results which average were about 25 - 28 % better than when I ran Kraken in Firefox Is that to be expected? Or can I do something to make my firefox just as fast?

All of our "read" emails, --from all of our accounts -- have suddenly disappeared. All of the folders and subfolders are still present. We still get new email, but as soon as we read it, it's gone. We have had these same email accounts for years and have not made any changes. In Account Settings --> Synchronization & Storage --> "don't delete any messages" is checked. "Read" messages are still on our server.

So, 1) Why did this happen? 2) Is there any way we can get our messages back in Thunderbird?
