Back button does not return to prior location on page after using an on-page link

I have a page that includes a list of links at the top where the targets are all further down the page. After clicking a link, the back button in the browser sometimes scrolls back to the list, and sometimes does not.
In addition, after Firefox fails to scroll back, manually scrolling back to the list and then hovering over the list (perhaps to click another entry, but before clicking), Firefox scrolls back to the prior entry.
The behavior is inconsistent. It sometimes happens on the first click of a link near the bottom of the list that leads to an entry far down the page. Sometimes it takes a few back and forth cycles to trigger the error.
My test page has no stylesheet and no javascript, it's HTML only.

I have added the Insect element to show why I think it is iframe related. This has only happened since the latest Firefox update a few weeks ago.

Since yesterday, I cannot use the mouse wheel to scroll up or down on any web page. It's really annoying, as it works on all other software on the same computer. Already tried some solutions suggested online, nothing worked. I did not recently add any extensions nor changed any settings. Worked fine for years, now suddenly it refuses to scroll with the mouse wheel
Shift delete doesn't delete entries anymore (they always reappear)

When I want to download a file from internet or upload one, the Save as... or Open... dialog window appears. That's completely right. However 2sec after Firefox shuts down. I reinstalled FF (deleted AppData folders), made new profile etc. Same happens in safe mode. Happens consistently.

Just had accepted a theme called Strawberry Temptation which on my laptop screen (1920 x 1080) only shows the top half of the first three ladies from the left hand size. Now I think I have done a work around for laptops which I attach but before offering it for acceptance would like to see if I am missing something. I find this sort of information very hard to find. When I try to work with Firefox Colour nothing shows in the lower half of the "taskbar" so I do not trial stuff there. Other themes dowloaded from Mozilla site have very little cropping at he bottom.

Firefox often "crashes" because a white area (white box) appears at the top of the screen, making it impossible to use the menu and address bar. Closing Firefox can then only be done by F4. Only restarting a computer is a solution. Other programs will continue to function properly.

Need support. Have a domoticz system running locally. Noticed that toggling the status a scene or a switch (lamp e.g) doesn't toggle the status in the dashboard. Tried IE and Edge and FF on my mobile and there it works flawlessly. Just tried on my daughters laptop. Same behaviour.
Can't just share my credentials of the website involved. Would like FF support contact me to share the url involved. Probably somewhere version 69 this issue was introduced. Cleared cash/shutdown ff, restarted, flusheed cahs, shutdown ff etc etc. Where this generally solved any webpage data related issues, for now the toggle on the webpage (switch lamp/scene on or off) no longer works. Switching off, next try the status is still trying to switch off. (A manual refresh will show the status is already off). There seems to be an issue receiving the feedback from the server and updating (refreshing, full/partially) the webpage involved. As stated IE/Edge handle this ok. Tried Waterfox, same issue. so there is something generally 'wrong'.
Support please contact me. So i can supply the url involved. so you can test and find the difference between IE/Edge etc.

Despite having set Firefox as my Win 10 default browser and regardless of the Firefox Options setting (checkmark or no checkmark on "Always check if Firefox is your default browser"), I always get a message at Firefox startup saying Firefox is not set as my default browser. Clicking on the Firefox Options/General/Startup: "Make Default" button takes me to Windows Default Apps, where it shows me that Web Browser is already set to Firefox.
Its annoying.
What is the meaning of the note at the top of Options saying "Your browser is being managed by your organization"? Clicking on it just shows a list with no ability to change anything, nor do I see any reason to think that its related to my problem.

I am a NYT subscriber but can no longer access content behind the paywall on FireFox. Yet, it works fine on Chrome and Edge. When I am on the NYT homepage, it shows that I am logged in. When I click on an article on the home page, it loads it but a pop-up makes it blurry and says that I need to be a subscriber to see it. Yet, the top of the page shows that I am still logged as a subscriber. The problems occurs on my two notebooks. Both are running Windows 10. One has Norton as antivirus, the other has Windows Defender. To troubleshoot, I have turned off all FireFox "Content Blocking" and have cleaned up cookies and browsing history (twice), but it has not cleared the problem. I have reinstalled FireFox twice. I am also a subscriber to the Washington Post, and I have no problem reading it.

Not sure if it's me or firefox. Have tried refreshing and lost themes and settings. It didn't seem to work for long. Thank you for any assistance. I have twelve sites (or folders) on my bookmark toolbar. This morning the order of the bookmarks was changed. I moved the bookmarks back to my preferred order and after using Firefox for 1 hour, the bookmark order changed again. I used to have many more bookmarks on the toolbar, but after they started moving, I moved all but twelve to "other bookmarks". Anything you can do to stop moving the bookmarks would be appreciated!
