FF 38.0.1 will not Exit or New Private Window

Same problems as below now exist on THREE machines -- one Windows 7 64bit desktop, and two laptops Windows 7 64bit, all Win 7 SP1, updated with latest MS Updates.
Updated to Firefox 38.0.1 Windows 7 64bit...previous version of FF was working fine and was meticulously crafted by experienced tech user.
Now, we have two major troubles immediately happened with update to 38.0.1:
1. Will NOT close Firefox (have to use Task manager). Nothing we do within FF closes it
2. Firefox will NOT open New Private Window, only after we located a New Private Window toolbar icon will item #2 work.
Again, this is the fifth straight time after Updating FF that it suddenly creates new and not-seen-before problems.
This is NOT due to Add-Ons, it's not due to Plug-In's... it's due to a sudden new problem(s) introduced by the Updated FF 38.0.1, now on three different machines.
Starting FF in Safe Mode is tacitly useless and time-consuming, and proves nothing, allows nothing to be checked or changed, the problems remain.
When having to use Task Manager to close FF 38.0.1, restarting FF again calls in the Crashed Session Manager and we have to recover from what FF insists is a crashed session.
Why oh why are these new problems suddenly introduced each time we users update ?
Now what's been changed or altered, all without our knowledge, and not mention in ANY of the new FF notes, etc.
EVERY time we update, it's essentially introducing inferior performance and problems in an otherwise finely tuned previously working FF.
Saturday 16 May 2015: Have received no replies, no assistance or ideas from Mozilla troubleshooting or programming staff. There must be many Windows 7 64bit users seeing the same problem(s) ??

The default Chrome new-tab page ( http://i.imgur.com/RTvdGze.png ) has a search field, that when typed into, enters text directly into the url bar, allowing you to type mozilla.org ect and having it take you direct to the web page instead of just searching it. Firefox, however, doesn't do this and just searches any querys directly through the search engine.
Is it possible for to make a firefox new-tab page that works like the chrome one? Preferably, I want my new-tab page to only send data to the url bar when I've pressed the enter key, but it doesn't really matter.

I am running the newest update for firefox (Version 38.0.1) on Mac OS Version 10.6.8. When I open a new window in firefox, the close, maximize, and minimize buttons are located in the top left corner, as usual. However, if I enter fullscreen mode on a video, and then exit, the buttons are not there. They are not simply invisible - clicking in their usual location has no effect.

Flash player keeps crashing in pages like Facebook and YouTube. I already reinstall the firefox, flash, all the plugins, disable hardware acceleration and none of these works.
I made a complete clean in my pc for any virus or others programs that may cause that, but it still crash all the time.
FireFox usualy use alot of memory too, making all my pc slow. Here is my crash reports:

Fixes I've tried that didn't work: disabled autoscrolling, smooth scrolling, and hardware acceleration. Turn on screen saver for a while and then log back in (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5557954?start=15&tstart=0), always show scroll bars in mac system preferences. I am running Firefox on Linux Mint 13 Maya. For some reason many of the buttons in Firefox (not on webpages but in FireFox itself) do not respond to mouse clicks. I have tried Safemode, refresh/restore and uninstall/reboot/reinstall. Still the same problem. I have a hard time accessing settings because the menu button is one of those that "depresses" but does not respond to any mouse clicks. Also I can not activate or deactivate plugins because of the same problem.

Firefox within the last month has started freezing every time on a Windows 7 laptop every time I try one of the above actions. I have tried "refresh Firefox", safe mode, uninstall/reinstall, nothing seems to help. Can't open prefs so I have not been able to turn off hardware acceleration. However, I was able to set up Firefox Sync which let me get my bookmarks to another PC and it looks like make setting changes on that PC affects this copy of FF so I <think> I've also tried turning off hardware acceleration. Nothing works. Especially frustrating that the options freeze. Firefox has worked for years on the affected laptop, is there anything I can do except give up and switch to another browser?

Sometimes, but not always, I will download something from the Internet. It might be an .exe or a .dmg or a media file. Instead of coming through in a usable format, though, it will arrive as a binary file.
Today, there was a warning about a Skype "bug" that caused crashes. The recommendation was to immediately download a new version of Skype. This .dmg came through in binary - I had to use Safari in order to download the new version of Skype.
I'm unable to find a setting to cure the problem, so I'm hoping you can help me out. Thanks in advance!

IMO that's a bit weird, but other Browser show the same behavior. My question is not to avoid this as I can easily avoid it but if this should be considered a bug in Firefox?

Problem is that when I watch a video that is NOT in youtube, there seems to be no sound. This happens on sites such as: twitch.com kissanime.com (In this site the have the option to play videos in HTML5, which works fine) and website with flash games like: kongregate.com

We are using non-persistent desktops for a portion of our users and their primary web browser is Firefox, so I have attempted to customize their experience using the mozilla.cfg file which I have created. This mostly works however the very first time it opens the bookmarks I have added to the bookmarks bar fail to load. If they close firefox and re-open they come right up. Unfortunately every time they log into their virtual workstation they have top go through this process since the machine is non-persistent. The code I have used to add the bookmarks is as follows:
