My work uses a 3rd party URL "defense" program, so every link that comes to me via e-mail is sent to that "defense" 3rd party, instead of directly.

The Thunderbird "link mistmatch" then activates *every time* I have links at work.

Looking online there *used* to be:

 mail.phishing.detection.mismatched_hosts

but it does not work any more.

None of the "phishing" settings prevent the link mismatch from appearing. I could not find any other "mismatch" settings.

How can I avoid this horrible annoyance???

My Sent folder disappeared. How do I restore the folder with the sent messages still intact. Or, at the least, just restore an empty Sent folder. The In-Box, Drafts, and Trash are still there.

All the settings are correct, and it seems that because there's no Sent folder I cannot send an email. When I try to send a message I get the attached Error.

My local phone company routes email through Yahoo Mail, then to Thunderbird. It was all working fine until my Sent folder disappeared. Now because of the missing Sent folder I have to create the email message in Thunderbird saving it in Drafts so I have a record. Then, I have to copy it and send it from Yahoo Mail. Needless to say this is a pain in the you know what.

Can someone please provide the instructions to get my Sent folder back?

I received a new modem from my internet provider Start.ca. Since then my emails have stopped coming in. All the lights on the modem are solid green except the LINK light which is flashing rapidly green. I have 2 questions. #1 how might i resolve this. #2 I know there are emails trapped in the queue at this point. Is there a way I can get access to those emails now within Thunderbird? I was told I could by logging in to my email portal but I do not know how to do that. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, I use Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. It is very common for me that I take a screenshot by using smart select function, pin the image and then attach it to the email by dropping the image to the "body" section of the email in Gmail . Is there away to do that on Thunderbird as well?

If not, it would be great to see that feature in Thunderbird with future updates.

I have a number of mail-accounts through one.com that I’ve get access to through Thunderbird. Now I can’t send messages from my primary account. The system tells me that it’s the wrong password, but I’ve updated the passwords without luck. I even tried to delete the account and add it again, but it won’t work. I can receive messages, but not send… There’s no problem sending from the other addresses so what’s the problem? Now I need to open my webmail every time I want to reply to or send a message, which is quite tiresome.

I am trying to activate Thunderbird email, but have been unable to do so. I have followed the instructions provided here, but when it comes to signing in to Yahoo mail, I am unable to because I do not have a cell phone; only a landline with no bell and whistles, just the basics.

I am definitely not computer literate and am at a loss as to what my next step should be. At present, it seems as though I am receiving emails, but am unable to send any.

Once I get my Thunderbird email set up properly, will my emails still identify as @yahoo.com or as @Thunderbird.com? I would prefer the latter. My family and most friends would be happy with that, and might even bring you more business.

Currently my incoming emails are listed (grouped) in subject (topic) order in the inbox. I would like to have them listed in time of arrival order. Is this possible? If yes, is there a simple setting that a user can access to switch from topic order to time based order? If no, is there any way this variation in presentation can be achieved? I have a problem with Thunderbird.

I receipt Emails and can login for view the emails, but I cannot send emails. There comes an field with information that the email could not send and to give in the password/a new password. "Anmeldung auf dem Server mail.gmx.net mit Benutzernamen "koenig.alexandra@gmx.net" fehlgeschlagen"

I do not understand what is the matter and I need your help. Because I do not need why I must give in a password for the Server. Also I do not know if I have a password therefore.

Is it possible that it is so because I had no connection from November until February and have reboot my rooter.

Please help me.

I want to move certain old emails to a specific folder. I type the name of the person in the top bar (see: attached file no. 1). The email address of the person appears under "Message Mentioning". I click on the email address, which opens a new window (see file no. 2). I now want to be able to move all messages from the person in question to a specific folder. Therefore, I click on "Show result as List" (to then be able to open "Create filter from"). But when I click on "show result ...", I just see a blank page (Message not found) (see file no. 3). Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the help!

When I login, I receive the message, "the certificate for mail.bdmdata.com is not valid" and I cannot send or receive emails. I am using IMAP. I currently have to use jeffbdmdata@yahoo.com'

I have TB Mobile for Android Version 8.2 on my Samsung A54 running Android 14. I have done numerous searches, but can not find any way to move an email that I accidentally sent to Trash or Spam back to Inbox (or any other folder for that matter). Am I missing something or is this feature simply not available?

I can do the above with my Yahoo mail on my A54 which has a menu that lets me move any email from folder to folder.

Thunderbird Desktop has many features that K9 does not. For example sending email to groups of contacts or filtering incoming messages to folders.

Is there a plan to give Thunderbird for Android some of those features?

I have Comcast as my ISP and my mail comes from Comcast using Thunderbird. I got hacked and bulk messages sent by the Turds. A lock has been put on Outgoing Mail. I went to Comcast and I can SEND through that, but I cannot SEND through Thunderbird. I get this weird error message. See the image below.

HELP!! How do I get Thunderbird's error message fixed so I can send messages.

What setting should I change to prevent a multiple emails from opening when there is more than one email in the chain? I have a new user whose general setting are the same as mine but when he opens a response to an email, all of the emails open. I set mine up years ago and don't recall how to change it. Thank you
