I'm on tb 128 and use roadrunner. I see my emails on spectrum server but can't download them? I was using pop, they said imap is needed.

I had problems connecting with Thunderbird for 24 hours (I connect via an imap server from my Sky account). When this was rectified, email folders which I had created had disappeared. These contain historical emails which I can ill-afford to lose. How do I restore these?

The fucking forced dark mode has return despite the previous fix layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override = 1 in about:config fixing it for years. This and the current replacement fixes don't save. I want a solution for PERMANENT light mode (black text on white background) for ALL menus, pop-ups, dropdown menus and hover over tab info.

And don't tell me to go search for a different theme I've already spent hours doing that and firefox has broken them only making some menus use the appropriate mode. On top of that I can't even pick an option to search for one that uses light mode I just have to go through each one and try it if I want to know which mode it uses that is NOT a solution to anything.

Replacement "fixes" for reference: ui.systemUsesDarkTheme won't even let me set to 0 only has true/false browser.theme.content-theme set to 1 browser.theme.toolbar-theme set to 1 (Why in the absolute hell these were added when a simple addition to preference setting wasn't is beyond me)

Very sorry for the aggressiveness but I am so very VERY tired of having to fight firefox on this preferance for years when their dark mode hurts my eyes.

How to completely reset Thunderbird preferences except for configured accounts? I mean all visualization preferences, menus, themes, buttons, whatever. But don't touch e-mail accounts.

I have disabled sponsored shortcuts in Firefox settings, and did this when I first set up my browser.

Today when launching my browser the first link in my shortcuts was to @Google which I specifically do not use. I do not use google search. I do not want google search. I do not want cookies or content from google.

Why was this sponsored shortcut pushed to my browser after I disabled sponsored shortcuts?

I am reaching out to gain information on ADMX GPO policies. We are retiring Policy Pak which used to add all the policies and secure Firefox for Enterprise. What we noticed is that Policy Pak used the app set to apply these policies and we are noticing that native GPO's for the most part to match the Policy Pak policies is not as accurate for GPO's My ask here is there any Most Viable Product suggestions to apply Native GPO's for securing Firefox.

As per this archived question: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1386828 I want to turn off junk filtering completely. Like the poster on the above mentioned question, I have done everything suggested, but Thunderbird still puts messages into the Junk folder. How can I achieve this? I have a new desktop. I checked the box in Settings to "Always ask you where to save files." However, it's still dumping files in Downloads without asking.

Why, and how do we correct that?

I already turned pff the graphic tab preview, but the tab title still pops up when I move my mpuse pointer on a tab. I do not need this and find it terribly annoying. How do I completely deactive this?

I'm trying to switch from Outlook to Tbird on Win10. I have my email hooked up. Can I use my Outlook Calendar and Contacts? How? I have a yellow message that says "All calendars are currently disabled. Enable an existing calendar . . . " I have no idea how to do this. Same problem importing Contacts. Is this because Tbird is made for Unix? I have version 128.1.1esr (64-bit). I use default directories when installing. Thanks for your help, Steve

If my email provider's server was originally POP but my provider's moving to IMAP there's a good chance they'll temporarily support both versions.

And I've discovered that I can set up a 2nd email account in Thunderbird and link it to their IMAP server. Both email accounts will then download the same emails.

But of course my POP account (locally) will have a whole history of emails whereas the new IMAP account won't.

So rather can creating that 2nd email account, is it possible to set up (i.e. convert) the existing account so that it'll access the IMAP server, rather than the old POP one? I tried opening its Server Settings in Thunderbird and simply changing the Server Name and Port but that doesn't work. The Server Type remains as POP and even the Advanced settings don't offer any clue :-(

After last update, when I open the bookmark sidebar (CTRL+B) and change its size (width), and then close Firefox, sidebar's width change to previous size.

How to fix it?

I cannot find, from the Menu bar, Tools, Settings, General, scroll to bottom to Config Editor I have not been able to find this "Config Editor". I also did not find .css file in that I might be able to modify. I am not understanding why the option isn't present in the settings for Firefox!

Hello. Thunderbird displays HTML blockquotes with a border-left style (even if no border-left style is defined in the message). How can I disable this behaviour ?

I would like to see incoming and outgoing HTML messages in an "unaltered" WYSIWYG way (as much as possible) so that I can see what I truly send/receive. (For example, I don't want to see the blue left quote border in outgoing messages when the recipient won't see them and, conversely, I don't want to see blue left quote borders if the sender didn't send them.)

I would be most thankful if anybody knows a solution without userChrome (because I don't want to over-override Thunderbird's style override, but disable it in the first place). Thank you so much!

Since today, Firefox is no longer loading the previous settings. Every time I open it up, it opens as it was newly installed.

What changed? I didn't change anything in my computer for this to start.
