Was the option to close privacy tabs removed recently? I would like to be able to save my tabs without losing them again. I only ask because I just like to organize my tabs instead of having all the tabs in one section.

So, I have 3 devices I have sync turned on, two laptops, and android phone. Laptops are where I do most of my actual work work, but the phone is where I get ideas and orders and things like that from, so where I do a lot of that stuff from. Now, I know how to open all on the laptops, but, I have only found a way to do this one tab at a time on android.

and I have been slowly opening the tabs one at a time, but i have around 840 tabs left to open.

I know this will severely slow the phone down for a while, while it attempts to do this, but I am more than willing to set my phone down over night for this...

From time to time firefox deletes suddenly all my tabs in normal as in private browsing. Also few years ago I could turn off the „close private tabs“ option in setting, but since firefox cleared off everything (again), that option ain‘t available anymore. Someone pls help.

My goal is to open specified pages in the same tab using Intent from a third-party custom application. However, I have observed that different URLs open in separate tabs, contrary to my expectations. This functionality is crucial for my application.  Issue Background:  I have researched similar issues and found that users have had comparable needs using Browser.EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID. Unfortunately, it appears that Firefox has not fully addressed this functionality. The EXTRA_APPLICATION_ID is a feature that modern browsers should ideally support to enhance user experience and maintain continuity within a single tab. The behavior of Firefox on my iPad when long-pressing a link and selecting the “Open link in new tab” option is counter to how it should operate. It opens the link in a new background tab. It should open the link in a new tab and bring that tab to the foreground, like it does in the desktop app.

when i have more than 10 pages open the app starts crashing, won't let me go back as well and sometimes just reloads. There were also situations in which he grabbed me without me doing anything. I have about 4-5 extensions (in the photo). I'm using Samsung Galaxy S24, my previous was A52 (I had no problem with it)

Looking for support on searching for tabs on Firefox for Android which is similar to the [version] .

Sorry this is not a question but I can't find a email for Mozilla mobile for android we need a way to make it harder to accidently close a tab and also an option is setting to bringing back said closed tab with a longer time not 3seconds so who ever gets this please send it to a Mozilla worker.

In the past you could send links by long-pressing them and using the context menu to send them to other devices(not the android "share" option)

Why was this removed and more importantly: how do I get it back?

My tabs are being refresh everytime after I left to switch to other tabs then come back. This constantly happening even when I did not open another app, just browsing between firefox tabs. Already play with battery setting in app info and change it to unrestricted and nothing changes. Can anyone help? btw I'm using galaxy tab s6

I bought a new android (Samsung) tablet. I want to sync all the tabs I have on my Windows PC to the tablet. I am not tech savvy.. further, why can't the Firefox page that shows all my saved tabs and bookmarks look the same on my tablet? sheesh...

I’m having a problem very similar to the one described here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1421173 from last year. Ever since the version 127.0 update from last week, all my private tabs are GONE. My regular tabs, including inactive tabs, are fine but more than 40 private tabs were lost (and I’m pissed because the nature of what those tabs were makes them very difficult to go re-find). Now, anything I open as a private tab vanishes if I leave the app for more than just a moment, even if I left it open to that tab. It makes the private browsing function effectively unusable for anything I’m not gonna just sit down and do in one sitting.

I don’t expect my 40+ lost tabs recovered, it’s a pain but it’ll be fine, but the function issue is NOT fine and needs to be fixed!

OVER THREE YEARS PEOPLE HAVE BEEN DEMANDING THIS. When I tap a link in an app, I want it to open IN FIREFOX. Not some custom tab. Not some special pseudo in-app environment. IN. FIREFOX. EVERY OTHER browser on Android can do this. Don't give me some BS answer about removing Firefox as my default browser, either. That causes it to either open in the app I'm using, or the phone's built-in browser, NEITHER OF WHICH ARE SECURE. If you really care about security, like you're trying to sell us you are, you will fix this yesterday.

I use Firefox with Video Background Play Fix. It worked properly on my old phone, but doesn't work on my current phone. Playing unexpectedly stops sometimes, usually when I launch another app, but sometimes in my pocket.

I tried to add to about:config (in firefox nigtly) browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory = false . There is no such option in current version. I tried to add manually, but it didn't help.

This may be the wrong forum for this question. If so, I apologise.

Is it possible to use Firefox to find out when a viewed website was last updated? I know that in another browser, it is but cannot see a way of doing it with Firefox.

Hi @all, Such quite a while, Firefox almost constantly crashing when closing a or better the last open tab. Tried a support hint and deleted cache and everything and after that it worked for a few days and then it coming up again. When it happens, and I restart FF and try a logged in page directly, I.e. Facebook, FF doesn’t recognize my signin. Closing the tab, waiting a moment, restart the page again and everything is fine. Really don’t know when this behavior begun, but it is really annoying. I face this problem on 2 different iPad Pro. The newer one from last year with an M2 processor and an older one with an Axx don’t know which one exactly. What’s the matter with that?
