I am getting a frequent freeze in the Android app and then shortly after a crash. Info: - happens on FF, FF Beta, and FF Nightly,and reinstall/phone reset didn't fix. - Samsung Galaxy SM-G965U running Android 10. - every error starts with java.lang.OutofMemoryError. - it never happens just on startup, just on auto fill, or some of the similar crash reports I've seen around here. - it does appear to be site-specific, but sometimes the site works and sometimes it does not: if I close the last tab after a crash, it will usually work for awhile. - Sync and disabling Add-ons doesnt fix it, although perhaps its worse with uBlock Origin enabled (not conclusively)

Once a while Firefox would freeze up and when that happens it would without fail reboots the phone if the phone goes to sleep and if I don't force close the app quickly. It might've done so anyway without putting it to sleep but I haven't tested leaving the screen on long enough. I noticed that if I was quick enough and force stop the app the phone doesn't reboot, but that window is really short. Maybe 2 seconds or so. Suffice to say force stopping didn't always work since the window is so short. When Firefox freezes other apps and phone functions work normally. It's been ongoing for a while through multiple updates. I see some people have already reported this same issue here. Can Mozilla fix this please? I have uBlock origin addon installed thanks. Also this never happened with my Pixel 3 phone which I was using up until a few months back so maybe it's pixel 6a specific. Alot of people have this same issue with pxiel6a from googling. It can freeze on any site I visit but one example is reddit.

In the last few weeks, despite regular updates Firefox constantly crashes, freezes, or works very slowly compared to my previous experience.

What to do?

Hello, henever I tap a link that subsequently opens to an app of some sort, say for instance YouTube, and then come back to Firefox, Firefox will become completely unresponsive.

I can get it working again if I gesture into my open apps and "refresh" Firefox by opening it again. This happens frequently and is quite annoying.

Any suggestions or is this a reoccurring issue?

I posted a review on the iOS market and received an email asking to post on this forum.

Firefox freezes several times an hour. It crashes every three hours. I installed the Adblock Pro extension (free version). Maybe it’s related but I have not noticed anything related to the extension. Safari doesn’t crash and uses the same extension.

The only point to use Firefox on iOS is the password manager and dark mode. Printing is inferior because it forces pagination.

I've had this problem of on my iPhone 14 Mac Firefox (now v113.2 where )tabs are taking long to delete and they freeze once I try to. After waiting awhile, anywhere up to 30 seconds or more, they either finally delete, but still slow or the app crashes and that seems to make the deletions fast, like they originally used to be. I've seen that other people seem to have this problem and I just wondered if a solution for this has finally been found?

Hello, I get the 500 Error screen when trying to sync Firefox on my phone. When trying both scan or email. ( I had to erase the app after having signed out, to try and fix a bug. The app kept freezing) Can't seem to find any help from Firefox's... elaborated support system. I'm probably dumb. But I don't have any more time for that. And I can't speak with anyone anywhere apparently.

Waiting for a potential answer here, or switching back to Safari in 24h.

Firefox for Android is non-responsive on my Samsung flow HP PC screen. Please advise. All other browsers are responsive. Love Firefox thou, but can't use it on my PC (Samsung flow screen on the HP PC.)

I’m having a issue with the app on iOS where sometimes if I leave the app to do other things then return to the app later on it will be frozen. Sometimes I can open the keyboard and type but nothing happens. I also can’t scroll web pages and the app doesn’t come back alive. Instead I have to force close it.

Hello, on my new powerfull Poco X5 pro, Firefox get often stuck, remaining in white page or in the previous page, and I often need to close the tab and reload the desired page in another tab.

I noticed that this happens often (always??) when clicking a ling in other apps (Firefox is the default browser)

Any idea what's happening here and how to get back my beloved fox?

For awhile now since I last updated the android app it's started freezing after awhile when I try to open a new tab or type in the address bar. Sometimes it looks like it's opening a new tab but it's just a duplicate of a different tab then it freezes. Restarting the app makes it work again but it won't remember the last thing I was doing and the history shows up entirely blank. Even closing the app before it freezes it won't remember what I just had open

Everytime I go to Michael's. Com or Hobby Lobby .com my scrolling starts to stick I like click on ornaments let's sat. It will scroll the first few then it's Jerry and no matter how many times I try to scroll down it keeps popping back to where it got stuck at. Hi, I have the latest firefox on my Samsung A54 5G (and previously on my A71). I'll open firefox, do a few searches and eventually I'll do a search and firefox goes back to the last search results and does NOT show any links related to the new search. If I kill firefox and restart it, it works again. The problem is more irritating than it might sound because it seems to happen too frequently when I am trying to look something up - but when I try to reproduce the issue it's hard to reproduce. The key element may be that I need to have firefox open and idel for a while before the problem occurs. Any advice is welcome!

I've been using Firefox for decades on all my devices and all my many Android phones. In the last 2 or 3 months Firefox (on my mobile only) randomly becomes completely unresponsive. All the tabs I have open are still visible but nothing moves, I can't change pages or make be searches. It's completely frozen. I tried closing the app, restarting the phone. The only thing that fixes it is to uninstall the app and reinstall it. That works for a few weeks until it freezes again.

I've now uninstalled it 3 times already. It's starting to get quite inconvenient. I have to use Chrome because Firefox won't work.

I have an Oppo A74 5G my operating system is always up to date and so are all my apps. Please fix this problem. Thank you

While searching for something in Google, and when I'm tapping on the suggested images with the search results, the page is freezing. That's happening everytime when searching something in Google. Note: I'm using the Google search fixer add-on.

When using Firefox on an iPhone 13 mini it keeps locking up stuck on a web page and nothing will clear it unless I reboot the iPhone the all ok it’s so bad now I can’t use Firefox as my default browser

As per title, if I perform a Google search, and leave the results set to "all", the first results shown are images. If I tap on any of those images, Firefox freezes completely. Sometimes it recovers after about a minute but often it requires a restart.
