How do I report an issue with the way NVDA and Thunderbird interact? When I tab, I can't out of a link, and the focus does not move. If I tab to a link in a message then arrow down, I am where I expect, but then if I go to the top of the message, the tab focus remains where it was when I last hit the tab key. This is not standard behavior, but everyone else I've talked to seems to think it's behaving normally and has no tips for me on how to fix it.

I just setup this firefox extension to help me manage my 800+ tabs - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/simple-tab-groups/ . This might have even been causing Firefox to crash and my computer to restart, but I'll save that for a separate issue. The extension has some suggested shortcut keys, particularly Ctrl + Backtick and Ctrl + Shift + Backtick to switch between next and previous Tab groups. I tried to go to Manage Extension Shortcuts in settings, and tried to specify the keys Ctr + Backtick, but the input box would not accept the key. In fact it only seems to accept Ctrl + <alpha-numeric> key. or Ctrl + Alt + <alphanum>

Is there anyway to enable this? Most keys like Ctrl + alphabets appears to be already mapped by firefox's default mappings. my Ctrl + numbers are also similarly mapped by another tab extension to switch tabs.

I had a folder called ÖgOF with a subfolder BirdLife. I renamed the folder to BirdLife-ÖgOF. After that a lot of problems occurred, e.g. - some of the other folders lost all messages - messages coluld not be moved from Inbox to some folders

Is it possible to restore the lost messages?

Hello Everybody . I have used Thunderbird for a number of years and I like it and have supported it from time to time with donations . I am a person with dyslexia and their a lot of people with this problem . more than you would think . The one thing that I think would be nice is to have a speech to text as part of Thunderbird . It would be a big help to us with dyslexia . Thank you for letting me bend your ear .

Today I got some problems with thunderbird. At first, when opening the program, it opens a new message that mentions "Provider for CalDAV & CardDAV: It's time to go" The message is not complete and has some drawing background I could initially still look at my mails but then tried to remove that mail and then the rogram crashed. I tried going into the accounts setting to update and that would also lead to crashing. I tried to set the troubleshoot mode off but it would crash before I can click to turn it off.

Any assistance would be great I use windows 11, 64 bits the thunderbird version is 128.5.2esr (32 bits)

With the latest update 136.01 whenever I click on any Thunderbird mail I get a popup screen that says "Thunderbird Email wants to access you Google account".

The screen implies there is an "Alow" link that I should click on but none exists! Then the only way out of this screen is use the esc key. That takes me back to my Thunderbird mail but anything I try to initialise thi popo up screen again. So my email account is totally unusable. 1st I am 90 yrs old. Been using this app since it was created. Never a problem until these new updates.

Was trying to delete old file (like the old program (block and hit delete). Found some message about deleting Trash folder and things I did not and do not understand. I now have LOST all my data, emails, addresses, everything.

I tried deleting the program and downloading a new copy. Did not work.

App Will not let me create an account. It keeps searching forever and have to cancel. App can't find my google password and just locks up. I only have two gmail addresses. I can access them by going to gmail.com but all my folders are not there. I need HELP please.

I can't even update my address file at the gmail site as I have no access to anything from TB. I am a research genealogist and now have lost all my saved research information.

With normal mice, when you scroll you typically scoll in steps which you feel as the mouse wheel feedback.

The issue here is with high resolution scroll wheels, whether that is a knob or a "frictionless" mouse wheel like on higher end logitech mice.

What happens: You slowly rotate the scroll wheel while nothing is happens in firefox, then you get to a certain point and firefox scolls one step, then you continue to slowly rotate the wheel, and eventually firefox scrolls another step.

What should happen: It continuously scolls as you rotate the wheel. This works in chromium browsers and other chromium based apps like discord, steam, etc, it also works in kde settings app, dolphin, okular, etc. But not firefox. It even works in terminal.

Both firefox and thunderbird are like this.

Is there a way to get this working or is it simply not supported in firefox? If so then feature request: get high res scoll wheels to work

Can't get Thunderbird to open. Have had it for years and now I get a message that I must restart to complete the recent updates. I have restarted and also shut down a dozen times, yet Thunderbird would not open for a week now. I have in my email address book 700 correspondents, now I lost them. I had my desktop pc (of 7 years) diagnosed today, and all systems were reported functioning. But, now when I try to send an email I'm asked for my password. I don't know what it is, and can't find it in my book of passwords. How do I get me email functioning again?

I have Verizon FIOS and have been able to receive cable channels on my laptop until recently. Now I cannot access them without a sign-in which leads to some sort of error that I don't understand. Any help?

The pc is a new Dell 8960 running windows 11 home. I installed t-bird from the microsoft store ver 128.5.2. I needed to do a system restore and when it was done Thunderbird.exe was gone. The link that I used to open it went to c:\users\username\thunderbird.exe but there was nothing there named Thunderbird after the restore.

I found Thunderbird at "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\MozillaThunderbird.MZLA_128.5.2.0_x64__h5892qc0xkpca\VFS|ProgramFiles\MZLA Package Root\Thunderbird.exe" I made a shortcut to that but the response is "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permission to access the item."

I do have a current copy of the profile.

I own a website that has chat rooms for each of my advisors. As of 2 days ago they are all having issues. I have them login with Firefox but now asking them to use Google Chrome...............low and behold it works

Whats the issue as i believe it started with the latest Firefox update

How to disable Ctrl-T?

I am attempting to log in to a new Mozilla Thunderbird account. I am being asked to log in with Google. (I would rather not.) When I attempt to log in WITH Google credentials, I get the message above; PAGE SIZE Pop up from Google "That's an error" "That's all we know." I cannot proceed. I cannot clear the pop up without restarting.

I get a reasonable number of TEAMS & Zoom invites by email into my Firefox account.

I have 2 questions ...

1. Can I add Google Calendar to FireFox Calendars ..... or vice versa ... so I can add an invite to FireFox calendar and have it show in Google Calendar.

2. Currently if the invite includes an .ics file I can import that into Google Calendar ..... clunky, but works. However many invites do not include an .ics file ..... as the invfite has arrived in FireFox .... can that generate an .ics file ?

I need to use Google Calendar as it provides cross platform support of multiple calendars.

I opened Thunderbird and could not get to the inbox or any other folders—it shows only the donations page. This is not okay. I do donate. Not much, not too often, but I do. However, if I open e-mail client and want to use it, then this is not a right moment to asking for donations. Or I should be able to do what I came to do and deal with donations issue later.

If you want users to pay for Thunderbird, it is of course okay, but please let us know in advance, give some time to mull it over and then clear the sheets. It is most inconvenient when this kind of issue is raised when you actually need to do something. And the message is unclear - how often and how much I need to donate (pay) in order to get to use Thunderbird without interruptions?

This morning the Welcome to Thunderbird splash page will not go away. This may be connected, with clicking on the trash bin icon on an email will not delete the item.

Hoping I don't to do a re-install to correct the problem
