Thunderbird is downloading new messages but failing to display them.

Other functionality remains active, ie I can see and open messages, delete all the contents of folders, compose and send messages, but when the software downloads new messages they simply do not display and cannot be accessed.

Not sure if it's relevant, but the message INBOX count appears to be stuck at the number 59, although more messages than that have been downloaded.

Bizarrely this is the message displayed whenever I now open the Thunderbird application (it was there when the problem first appeared and returns everytime). Out of desperation I even made a donation in the hope it would release the messages!

As a twelve or more years user of Thunderbird, I find it to be okay most of the time. I hate the spam folder that does not learn and I hate threads.

Today all of a sudden, I cannot save photos sent from my iPhone as jpg. I have always right clicked and a menu has appeared. Today, the right click just zooms in which I never want to do when I am trying to save.

I tried searchig online first before coming here. Apple is claiming that Thunderbird developers made a mistake and that is why the right click is not working. AI had me try a bunch of different techniques none of which worked.

When I do save after much effort, the "photo" in my Animals folder appears as the Thunderbird logo instead of the real item itself. The other weird thing is that my folders also do NOT show up where they should when I am trying to save. The menu doesn't give me all the folders as it always has. Instead it just say All Files which is not adequate.

Running Windows 10 (have extended security updates). Starting at version 153.0 Firefox hangs (spinning cursor) until Windows realizes it is not responding and lets me stop the program. Seems to be independent of the website (even happened on a Mozilla page). Have tried a couple of 153.xx updates and also 154 but behaves the same. On a Dell Inspiron 7570:

Hi, I’m a new user of Firefox on iOS and after being impressed with Mozilla/Firefox privacy commitments,, I decided to use it as the default browser on my iOS mobile on the latest Apple’s software update but unfortunately, I’m unable to even visit safe and known websites mainly because everytime I fall prey to the endless google image verification captcha but never been able to see any of their images - bus, cars, hydrants or anything for that matter. This has resulted in disappointment for me as I tried even dialling down on my privacy controls to standard from strict but to no avail. I have consented for the technical team to share the analytics of what has happened and offer a solution. I am also posting it here as I could not see any features where I could directly drop an email to the Mozilla/firefox devs and technical teams . Keep up the hard work you are doing to keep us safe online but please try to get the browser spot on with iOS . Unfortunately I have now changed my default browser as safari and downloaded Firefox focus to offer some browser protection by toggling on the extension.

I'm trying to setup Netzero email on Thunderbird. I get the error message, posted in question. Outgoing mail works but can't load inbox messages. I got the following error message when I first started Thunderbird - "The STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message numbers and sizes.Mail server pop.netzero.com responded: POP access disabled"

My cable company not doing email accounts anymore and has told me to use everyemail.com . For some reason I cannot use Thunderbirdto see my email anymore. I'm a 77 yr old widow. I have always had the Mozilla products. I don't know what to do and have nobody to help me. I hear my mail loading but can't read it. Please help. First the laggy, extremely slow issue was just noticed on YouTube. Now I notice it on Rumble and other sites. For now, I have to abandon Firefox and use an alternative browser. I've stayed with you for years. Maybe it's time to part ways. I really like your browser. But, it has become nearly non-functional for me.

Adobe auto updated. The ability to choose where a PDF is opened or downloaded is now missing. Completely makes FireFox unsuitable for what I do.

I did redo all the settings to 'ask before'. Refreshed FireFox. Tried changing it in the popup where I choose what to print.

What do I need to fix?

Albertsons grocery store states they support firefox. However I can't use firefox I have all sorts of issues so I have to close firefox and use chrome. What do I need to do to get firefox to work at their grocery store website?

I'm running the current 157.0.1 release on Windows 11, and specifically am having my emails from the AP be sent to spam even though I have a specific filter set to tag them. I feel as if the filter itself is set up properly because when I manually run it the messages will be moved from the spam folder to the inbox and tagged accordingly.

The one thing sticking out to me is these emails are being forwarded through my relay account. I've tried changing the filter to work based on the relay address, but again it only works when I manually run it. I've also tried setting the filter to run both before "and" after spam classification, but neither option works. Ideally the filter would work without me having to go to my spam and run it, and even then I'm wondering why the spam filter hasn't learned by now that those email belong in my inbox.

I'd appreciate any help or solutions; I'm not an email power user or networking wiz though so please try to keep it as dumbed down for me as possible!

new update destroyed old firefox look i love those old sqarish tabs please give us option to switch back to old firefox look, themes, styles... in settings, i dont see it anywhere, the tabs were perfect like they were new look of tabs is horrible (at least to me) is there some way to return to old look. Ai said to me to play around with a userChrome.css file but i still cant get the old look no matter how much i try, it gets worse and worse, worst case scenario is it possible to send me a css file of old tabs / toolbar look or something i feel like someone moved every single furniture in my home, the feeling is terrible. new icons are okay but old toolbar and even search bar is better in older version, i loved more the old look why is there no option to revert back to old theme look i used for years.

HI All Recently purchased a laptop and want to have FF sync with my desk top. I am signed in to both devices with the same account and have checked all settings on both and they are identical. Why are they not syncing?

Hello, this is the basic problem:

The short version is that there is a problem with Firefox not interacting with the scrub bar and volume bar. (all other controls work fine) We know it's a Firefox thing because everything works with Brave. (or an interaction between Firefox and the OS at least, Firefox is heavily involved)

You can use the Firefox manifesto V0.2. video for an example, as it displays all the above problems for me.

I can get you guys whatever other data might be needed, but I kinda need an idea where to look to try and fix this, as all the other posts I have managed to find don't seem to have similar enough issues to work.

Edit/Update: I have done some further testing and discovered that it is firefox's default/built in player that is the problem. I can use the 'site specific' players (like from reddit) just fine. So there is something happening with that default one.

I have Thunderbird on laptop. I make changes to a contact in the address book and they seem to be made. When I close Thunderbird and restart it, all changes are lost and are back to what the contact information was before. This has to be fixed.

And it is rather annoying that the report does not tell me which addon is misbehaving either. I do know it runs just fine without any addons enabled so hence, the problem lies with a buggy addon and I'm left in the dark about which one.

Hi, since the latest update, whenever I'm in a tab (e.g. email or personal website) and I go to upload files, all tabs show the last location of the last upload from any tab whereas previously they showed the location of the relevant tab. E.g. on a tab for my website it would previously open the location of my website files and if I switch to my email tab it would open the location of my email attachments. Now it doesn't seem to remember the loaction by individual tab it just starts in the location of the used loaction across all tabs.

Not sure if that makes sense, it's very annoying as I have to keep searching the location again between tabs.

Can this be changed back please so it remembers locations on a individual tab basis and not globally?
