in my 'podcasts' folder I have ~2 pages of folders of the type feeds.json-xxx.corrupt where xxx is some number, see attached image.

With the intention to re-subscribe to my feeds later, I have deleted all other folders in my podcasts folder. Trying to simply delete the feeds.json-xxx.corrupt folders did not work. How can I get rid of them?

(I am using the portable version of thunderbird)

For about 6 months now, I've been having a strange problem with Firefox leaving behind ghost entries on the Win 11 taskbar.

I have a laptop attached to a dock which is connected to multiple monitors. If I have a FF window open on one of those external monitors and disconnect from the dock, all the tabs that were open in that FF window will become ghost entries on the taskbar. (see attached image).

It doesn't matter if I close FF entirely, these entries remain until I restart the computer. If I click on one of them, it opens up a brand new, blank FF window.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea what might be going on? I tried doing some investigating a few weeks back and I remember finding something in the task manager about COM Surrogate that seemed connected, but I didn't get beyond that.

After importing events from the old ics calendar into the existing CalDav calendar. TB sent invitations out to all attendees, even for past meetings. How to avoid this?

Hello, I am trying to send emails from my iCloud account and it always fails due to the SMTP server timing out. I've tried making a new app-specific password, deleting and re-adding the account in Thunderbird, and made sure the authentication settings are right, but it still doesn't work. I can connect to the IMAP server just fine.

At one time, I was able to swipe left on my trackpad and go back to the previous page on firefox. I can't seem to find where to set that preference. I'm running MacOS.

Hi, in the past couple of weeks as I am moving selected emails from my Inbox to their Folders, the remaining emails in the Inbox have disappeared (twice)Most recently this Monday. I was able to have Yahoo recall /restore many of them Wednesday. Then Today Friday April 26; I selected an email in the Drafts Folder to Edit, by selecting the Edit button and it disappeared.

This all seems ODD. I have not changed any settings or done anything different. I have lots of storage on the Hard Drive. Would you kindly assist yours dennis

I am writing to inquire about the possibility of searching and organizing bookmarks on the Android app using tags. I have recently organized years of Firefox bookmarks on the desktop app by tagging my bookmarks and removing them from folders. I would very much benefit from being able to use a tag-based workflow on mobile as I do on desktop. I notice this question was first raised about 10 years ago. I would like to know if there are any updates, or if perhaps there is an add-on that can fill this gap. Thank you!

I’m using the official ShadowsocksX app to relay network connections through a Shadowsocks server, and Firefox seems to be having compatibility issues. The browser does not load pages when proxy settings are set to “auto-detect” or “use system:” I’m getting the “Unable to connect” error message. Manually setting the SOCKS host to 127.0.0.1:XXXXX does fix the problem, but that also means I have to switch back to “system” whenever I turn Shadowsocks off.

Neither Safari nor Chrome requires manual action to relay connections on the same computer.

On a different computer, I’m using the Outline client to connect to the same Shadowsocks instance. Firefox does not have issues with that.

I don't like getting recommendations in Pocket that you need a subscription to read. Why waste my time giving me the initial information on something, but then when I try to read it, I can't because I already have too many subscriptions. Seems like there used to be an option besides "Dismiss" to not show content from particular sites?

I have not had access to my email since the April 18 Thunderbird update, receiving this error message: "After changing password on an IMAP account, the account could become locked due to too many failed login attempts" How do I fix it? Everything is gone? All my organized folders, everything. It prompts me to set up everything again. It then gives more prompts I don't understand. What should I do? This is a disaster

Running Thunderbird 115.10.1 on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7. Mail stopped communicating. Tried using the "Access Account Setup" for existing Email. Put in full name, email address and password and clicked continue to have Thunderbird configure the settings automatically. Did not work with auto settings (POP3). Went back to "Access Account Setup" for Existing Email and instead of clicking continue, I selected "Configure manually". Tried putting in the IMAP protocols and correct port settings, but the "Done" button is grayed out. I am at a loss of what to do to get my email back up and running and at the same time don't want to lose and emails/folders that are currently set up. Any help would be great.

It totally blocked me and shut me out of the game

Is Cloudflair a virus? Should I go into the registry and remove it?
