Trying to delete an email account that is no longer used. System continues to attempt to read from the provider because I cannot remove the account and is delivering error messages every few minutes which is very annoying.

I've gone through Account settings>Remove account>Confirm remove BUT the only active option is Cancel. The Remove and More Info buttons are greyed out.

Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS and Thunderbird 102.11.0 (64bit) Archives in TB show 2021 and 2024 only but both are empty Archives.sbd contains 4 files: 1) 2021 (empty), 2) 2021.msf, 3) 2024 (apparently all missing emails are dumped here, but not in clear readable format) and 4) 2024.msf I did not intentionally archive the files; could be by accident clicking "A" but unlikely that I accidentally also had selected app. 3,000 emails. App. 60 mails were left (i.e. not archived) in inbox Tried to archive one file afterwards from inbox. OK, went correct to 2024 in the same folder as all the others. However, this mail was visible in Archives, 2024 in TB. I moved it back to inbox without any problem but strangely it still also is in Archives.sbd, 2024! HOW CAN I GET THE EMAILS (app. 3,000) FROM Archives.sbd, 2024 BACK TO TB?

Lately, when I try to download different files like .docx, .pptx, etc., Firefox always downloads files with a .pdf extension. I tried it in a different browser, and the problem does not occur there. Of course, the files are the same in binary terms, so when I change the extension, everything is fine, but it is annoying. What is wrong?

I have noticed that my mouse becomes unresponsive exclusively when clicking Browser items in Firefox 124.0.2 (64-bit) on Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1

usually everything is fine for a while, then after a small working period I can still hover over items in Firefox but any click action (right or left) is ignored by Firefox or pages in Firefox.

At the same time clicking in other apps is still working fine.

When restarting firefox the functionality often re-occurs and works again for a certain time.

FF has been the browser of choice for me for years. Word Press has been the weblog platform of choice for almost as long. Recently, however, FF won't accept embedded links in new posts.

If I try to create an embedded link, the link text box flickers and won't allow the text for the link to be inserted.

At the suggestion of WP, I cleared the FF cache - to no effect.

I decided to try posting through another browser, Chrome. It worked fine.

Chrome could be a workaround for this, but I'd much prefer to use FF.

Any ideas?

PS I use Windows 11, latest upgrade, and the latest version of FF

Actually my problem was solved. It came from the fact that following a maintenance intervention on the servers of the https site where my account was located, and access to which was blocked by Mozilla, the automatic updating of certificates had not worked. Which the site technicians resolved following a request I sent to them.

I am hoping someone can help me. I had an email address for years that was a Medicacom email. When we got rid of Mediacom we no longer have that email. I had it linked to Mozilla Thunderbird. Yesterday I tried to disable it. I clicked on remove account but not on the message data. It removed all of the emails that I had in there. I have several things that I need that were just gone. I hope someone can help me retreive them. Thank you.

In the received message pane, unread messages are in a bold font, but, after reading a message, the font does not change back to a normal un bolded font. I have looked at every setting I can think of and I cannot get this to work the way it did in version 102. I am currently on 115.9 ,but, I may revert back to version 102 which worked without any problems. Can you help me resolve this problem?

I have been a TB user for years. Recently, many problems. Today (for the first time) I can't even launch the program. One I got the error "Cannot open XXCOM" where I used XX for letters which I can't remember. Then I tried again and got a breakpoint error: "(0x0000003) occurred in the application at location 0x000000006D809898"

I used Malwarebyte scan to check for my digital footprint and it showed Firefox , spotify and another program , it also identified one password that was out there ! Does this mean that Firefox on my PC/Phone is insecure ? or are they trying to get me to use their software ?

I am using Firefox on Mac - I usually minimize instead of closing - It has started making a TAPPING NOISE I thought it was my computer - but It now has happened to 3 different computers and one is brand new - T T T T TTT , I have narrowed it down to Firefox, when I minimize it will do it, then opened and it stopped and min. then start, repeeat - now it does the TTTTT all the time with it open or minimized. What is going on?

I have windows 11 and the firefox 124.0.2 browser. I cannot update to the latest version of Firefox. I receive an error message "failed to update". I've uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, ran the install utility selecting update, nothing seems to work. Please help

My customer has a problem since about a month on Firefox (using it on a Terminal Server). The top of Firefox gets hidden by white and grey "bar" and he can not even use the "functions" of buttons behind that. -> Please see attached Print screens Lower part of the Favorites-bar is visible and also works if he clicks on it - everything above not visible and does not work for clicking.

The problem only comes up from time to time maybe once or twice a week. When he minimizes Firefox the application behind is visible normally. when he maximizes it again, same problem still visible in Firefox. When he closes RDP Session and reconnects - the problem disappears. When he turns off the monitor where Firefox is visible - Firefox gets move over to the other monitor and the problem disappears.

I am not 100% sure if this is a Firefox problem or Remote Desktop Problem (or maybe an add-in problem). But until now it only happened on Firefox!

He is always on the last recent version of Firefox, we just updated today to the latest version again - but I can not say yet, if the problem would still exist on the latest version from today.

'Vanishing Menu BarBar' Mac OS system is set to NEVER hide menu Bar, yet both Thunderbird and Firefox hide the menu bar, they are the only applications I have that do this. the posted solutions DO NOT EXIST in Mac OS 14.4.1. The posted solution says to customize and then go to a menubar drop down, but in both apps there is NO such menu item. There is a menu item for the tool bar, which I have ON, but not for the menubar. So what gives?

Since a recent UPDATE, there are NO emails showing in the SENT BOX, or any of the FOLDERS including an important one labeled TAX RECEIPTS!!! The only boxes which show emails are the INBOX and the DRAFT BOX. After depending on Thunderbird for 20 years, I now have to use WEBMAIL. OH DEAR, Can you please help me. I am a nearly 80 year old grandmother who wants to email her grandchildren in GERMANY. PLEASE HELP!!
