Firefox crashed and now will not open without crashing. I have trashed it and re-installed but still getting this error and cannot use the application. It will not open in Trouble Shoot mode. I even removed all files in the Library/Application Support

when I search for a page after opening a tab. The page will load slowly then stop. I'll then have to hit enter again for the page the load. This does not happen with Chrome or Edge. Any ideas how to fix this frustrating issue. Thanks.

I'm not sure why, sometimes the status bar clock and stuff do hide, but I just can't seem to figure out how to get them to hide every time, and they usually don't. I've already tried disabling picture in picture for the app but that isn't noticeably helping. Full screen video is supposed to hide those, right? What are the reasons it wouldn't?

Has anyone seen a message similar to this when trying to attach a document, usually a pdf to an email?

O:\XXXXXXXXXX.pdf could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences.

Also, when someone send me an image file, I can't open it directly from the email. I have to download it and then open it. This isn't as big of an issue as the above, but I thought I'd ask it too.

Windows 10 Thunderbird 115.10.0

I have an issue with using newgroups via NNTP server in Thunderbird. News only load during startup of the program. Whenever the option Get Messages is chosen later, or when it is automatically run by the program, the process seems to get stuck in a loading state. In this state neither can new messages be read (the headers seem to be there and are shown, but the body of the message isn't), nor can new messages be sent (message sending gets stuck in status "Assembling Message")

This has been the case for a few releases already, and is currently present on 115.10.0 (64bit)

About 2 weeks ago, Thunderbird stopped sending emails. I spent a couple of hours on the phone with tech support but was unable to correct the issue. Changed all of the settings several times, SMTP server, port, security and authentication without success. Tech support suggested using their server but that's a pain. Attached are pictures of the error messages. Thanks.

Starting Friday April 19, I have been experiencing constant very brief internet outages/reconnections while using Facebook on the desktop. The outages do not occur anywhere else on the internet...and do not occur on other browsers. I prefer to use Firefox. I am using Windows 11.

I was a bit surprised that I found some mozilla kraken benchmark 1.1 results that were somewhat better than mine (despite being done on the same mobile SoC as mine)

I then read closely that the better score was made on the Chrome Mobile browser.

I then installed Chrome on my mobile and also suddenly got results which average were about 25 - 28 % better than when I ran Kraken in Firefox Is that to be expected? Or can I do something to make my firefox just as fast?

All of our "read" emails, --from all of our accounts -- have suddenly disappeared. All of the folders and subfolders are still present. We still get new email, but as soon as we read it, it's gone. We have had these same email accounts for years and have not made any changes. In Account Settings --> Synchronization & Storage --> "don't delete any messages" is checked. "Read" messages are still on our server.

So, 1) Why did this happen? 2) Is there any way we can get our messages back in Thunderbird?

TB v115.8.0 (64-bit) Closed the app and went to dinner Came back and opened the app. All the tasks are GONE!!!

I know TB keeps everything in text files, so I found the "calendar-data" folder and opened some files using NOTEPAD.EXE to find keywords I know represent my tasks. Sure enough, the data is there in the sqlite files.

What's the secret code that simply decides to not open those files and populate my task window?

why om last updates all my hotmail accounts keep asking me for passwords ? everytime i need to login... your older version was best then this.. i think you make updates with problems , how can i get the older version only ?

Firefox Version: 124.0.2 (64 bit) Windows Version: Windows 10 LTSC 2019 (Version 1809)

When I right click the taskbar and press close Firefox, here comes the interface just as the screenshot uploaded. The blue close button doesn't response no matter how I click it and the Firefox's taskbar is flashing yellow. This bug only occurs on the first window of Firefox and only when user right click the taskbar.

It has been a long time for me wishing that some updates would be released soon to fix this issue, while noting happens. Or this bug is only for me?

I'm getting login issues to my Outlook account. I understand this is an emerging problem and I"m following the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202

However, I can't follow the instructions under section "Change Thunderbird authentication method for sending messages (SMTP)" because I don't have "Outgoing Server (SNMP)" in the lefthand side. I do have an option to edit Outgoing Server settings, but there is no option to set OAuth2 in the Authentication Method dropdown. I am unable to send Outlook emails, and I'm unable to complete the instructions to fix it. Help is appreciated!

Symptom:

1. TB stopped downloading new emails for one account on PC.

Solutions Tried without success:

1. Checked Email configuration and settings 2. Restart TB 3. Rebuild Global Database by deleting global-messages-db.sqlite file. 4. Delete Saved passwords. 5. Delete all emails on webserver dating back to when problem began. 6. Change password on webserver.

Issue Details: I use TB on my desktop to manage many different email accounts. Some from Gmail and some from Ionos. Last week, TB stopped downloading emails from one of my Ionos accounts. It still downloads from my other Ionos account and my gmail accounts. I use Aquamail on my Android device and it continues to be able to download emails for this same account. Additionally, I have a laptop with TB and it continues to download emails from this account without issue.

If you need additional information, please ask. Suggesting switching to IMAP is not useful and not a solution to my issue. I respectfully request that you Please do not go there (been down this road before). I want to fix the problem, not go around it.

Today I tried to look up a previous email that I'd filed in a subfolder, but the folder displayed no emails. If I click on the subfolder above it, it shows me the number of emails and displays the list of emails. Then when I click on the subfolder I want, it displays the name and number of emails for the previous subfolder I looked at.

I tried troubleshoot mode, but still no luck, and the folder is gray instead of yellow like all the others.

I'm using Thunderbird 115.9.0 (32 bit), Windows 11 Home 64-bit.

I've been using Thunderbird for years and have never had this problem before.

On the Firefox Android app, after closing few tabs, exiting the application and re-entering the application, the closed tabs reappears as if they weren't closed at all. I found this is a well known bug and there are few open threads on bugzilla on this topic. Someone said that's related to a corruption of the closed tabs' json file.

PS. It's difficult to share a screenshot, probably a video is more explanatory

Since upgrading to version 115.8.1 I get unable to write email to mailbox . I have three email addresses in my profile. All are POP. One (from yahoo) always hangs and the other two fail intermittently. OS is Windows 10 64-bit at 22H2 level It doesn't matter if Zonealarm is turned on or off. I have over 300GB of free space on disk.

Full error message: Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.

Thunderbird - Problem

My email address is: finnvebirk@webspeed.dk (alias: evab@webspeed.dk ) I have used Thunderbird email for many years. I have archive folders with more than 50 folders and sub-folders. Overall, I have several thousand emails in my archive folders.

After I wanted to create a sub-folder and move it to another location, the following has happened: All my folders and sub-folders are mixed together and arranged in a changed order. All emails in my archive folders and sub-folders have disappeared - all folders are completely empty. I think maybe a folder called 'Local folders' has disappeared. It is no longer possible to move emails from the Inbox to the empty folders. NOTE: Inbox, Sent and Trash still works.

Question-1: What happened ? What can I do ? Can I recover all my emails in the archive folders ?

Question-2: Can I restore my Thunderbird mail system as it was, e.g. 2 weeks ago ?

Question-3: As an emergency plan (if all my emails are lost !): Can I reset Thunderbird without deleting mails in Inbox, Sent and Trash ? If Yes – How do I do that ?
