How do I prompt Firefox to ask to save a password. Once I say "no" it never asks again (but now I would like it to remember the password for certain sites). I have also changed my password on some sites (while on another computer) and I cannot find out how to get Firefox to remember new passwords. I'm using Firefox 6.0.1 on a mac. I'm not using private browsing. I have 'remember passwords for sites' clicked and there are no exceptions. I've tried removing cookies, history, looking at page info.

Up until Version 6.0.2 FF supports the following command via the address bar "javascript:window.resizeTo(1280,1024);". In version 7.0.1 and in the beta version 8 - this is no longer supported. I use this all day in my role as a project manager to test web pages in different screen resolutions and I've had to downgrade back to 6.0.2 just for this feature.

Has the support for this been withdrawn permanently or is there a way to enable it in v7 or v8?

Something labelled "npFFApi 1.0.0.1" has made a place for itself in Firefox v6.0 on the Add-ons>Plugins page. There is a USELESS link to (it says) "More" that opens a More page but gives nothing more: no info, no name of source or provider, no CLUE to what it does. The More page is probably a Mozilla product, but it fails to contribute the least little thing about this plugin, and that is disappointing. WHAT is it, why do I need it? Maybe it is spyware? Please advise.

Some websites automatically assign an icon when I add them to my bookmark bar. For brevity sake, I delete the description so I can have more bookmarks lined up across the top of the browser page. Other websites do not generate an icon (its an icon of a blank page, a generic default setting I suppose). I want to be able to assign an icon for my bookmarks that do not have a unique icon.

I'm sure there is some place to click to find what in a previous version was under "Tools", but where is it. Frustration.

The Firefox upgrade to 6.0 did notice that FireFTP needed upgrading, and I've done that.

Whenever I encounter a suspicious website (like a fake anti-virus site, porn redirect, etc), I will close Firefox 6 by using the Windows Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-DEL then Applications/Close). I do this because suspicious websites often force you to click on something before you can close your browser [Example: Are you sure you want to navigate away from this website? Yes/No]. I do not want to click on anything that may install malware. After this forced termination when I re-open Firefox, it attempts to restore my last session automatically. This of course re-opens the same suspicious website and I have to close Firefox a second time with CTRL-ALT-DEL. After that second forced termination I get the "Well this is embarrassing" page and I can choose to start a new session. My question: Is there any way to stop Firefox from trying to automatically restore an old session when it is forcibly closed or terminated? By the way...In Tools/Options/General/Startup, I am set to "show my home page" on startup.

i received the message "invalid url the requested url "/", is invalid. reference number #9.3e556acb.1337262673.220f958c" this message only appears for facebook webpage. other website is fine. Also only my laptop have this problem,my friend laptop connected to same line have no problem. Have tried different browser and all also cant connect to facebook. How do I change my flash settings? I said I wanted to be prompted about flash wanting to store things on my computer but the prompts are too frequent and annoying!

I have a USB CAC Card reader and ActivClient 6.2 software. However, I am unable to add my cac card reader as a module to Firefox despite me being able to do so in 4.

I'm currently on FF6, just upgrading from 5 as I thought 6 might of fix the problem. (Obviously I'm wrong.)

I've tried looking up information about the "Unable to add module" error, but most of the search results bring up solutions for open source software on various Unix OSes.

The most relevant information that deals with Windows and ActivClient is around 11 months old and I've already tried to follow that, only to see it not work either.

Help? I kinda want/need to access websites.

When I signed on to Firefox this morning, I received notification that an important security update should be installed. When I installed it, a window appeared showing addons that were not supported in this new version. One of them was the Norton Toolbar. I rely on the Identity Safe part of the toolbar to provide me with automatic signons to frequently visited websites. How can I get this function back?

Wow! I never saw the whole notice.

This started happening right after Firefox automatically updated itself to 6.0.1.

I depend on Paypal to run my business. not being able to access the site is a huge problem.

I am running Firefox Version 17.0.1, yet it's falsely identifying itself as "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0" thereby causing bug-like difficulties at "deviantART" http://layaboutjoe.deviantart.com/ and is even mis-identifying itself here. How can I change the length of time FF keeps my browsing history? It will literally keep it for months at a time and there are no settings that are able to be changed.It is either clean history every time FF closes ,which I don't want,or it keeps it for months. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.Thank You.
