I am running the latest updates to Windows 10 Pro x64. One of my monthly bills is paid at

1) https://e.synchronyfinancial.com/

which, in Brave, redirects to

2) https://lowes.syf.com/accounts/login

Inputting either link in Brave gets me to the finish line but the first link above fails in Firefox with the "Secure Connection Failed" message and dumps me at https://www.synchrony.com/accounts/. The second link does the same.

Is there any way to troubleshoot the problem?

I HAVE tried shutting-down Malwarebytes but the result was the same.

This is the only site on which I have encountered this issue. All that I can determine at the moment is that that certificate is from DigiCert and the expiration date is in 2025, i.e., this is not a Symantec cert.

I don't use Google Chrome browser nor do I use MS Edge. After using the Mosaic browser, I switched to Netscape Navigator, then to Mozilla, and, finally to Firefox. I am not looking forward to migrating to another browser. ;-)

Several instances of this "verification.exe" malware appear on download history when firefox is opened as shown. Remove from history or clear downloads doesn't eliminate them. They reappear whenever firefox is opened.

Suggestions to eliminate this nuisance welcome.

I’m using the official ShadowsocksX app to relay network connections through a Shadowsocks server, and Firefox seems to be having compatibility issues. The browser does not load pages when proxy settings are set to “auto-detect” or “use system:” I’m getting the “Unable to connect” error message. Manually setting the SOCKS host to 127.0.0.1:XXXXX does fix the problem, but that also means I have to switch back to “system” whenever I turn Shadowsocks off.

Neither Safari nor Chrome requires manual action to relay connections on the same computer.

On a different computer, I’m using the Outline client to connect to the same Shadowsocks instance. Firefox does not have issues with that.

When choosing biometrics for 2-factor authentication, sometimes Firefox will only prompt for a physical hardware key, and Touch ID does not work. Support for built-in biometrics is inconsistent.

For reference, I am using Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1 with an ARM processor.

I am a Salesforce (improveit! 360) user, exclusively browsing with Firefox for over 12 years without any problems. The most recent Firefox update 125.0.2 (64-bit) has caused an issue with my staff calendar. I have reached out to improveit! 360 they are a force.com developer and they will not help, said the error is caused by Firefox interpreting the code. I have figured out a work around to get the calendar to load correctly for a short term solution. Below is a screenshot of the error, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mam dużo otwartych kart. Po zamknięciu kilku kart, gdy wyjdę z aplikacji (zminimalizuje ją) i wejdę ponownie karty które zamknąłem nadal są otwarte. Tak jakby otwierają się na nowo.  One of my email accounts Yahoo or Gmail appears to have been hacked. I received two phishing emails this week --3 if you count the last one who said she was calling on behalf of Medicare/Social Security and All members could get a preloaded card for several hundred dollars. I knew there was a plan to help certain folks, but it was not available to everybody. I asked her for the name of the plan and she hung up. the webpage she sent me to first or told me to go there where I could talk to a licensed agent. Do people who answer the phone have a license like insurance salespeople? Anyway, they had copied the govt. the site is right up the US sea.

They then ask you to send them a picture ID as in Driver's License. Noway I am going to do this --so I have at least some pretty valuable info if I can't get in.

This question was asked by someone else in November 2023 but never sign answer. When I click on a link to an address Mozilla should open my Google maps and put that address in automatically. Instead it goes to the Play store to download Google but since I already have it installed I click continue and it opens up Google maps but no address. How do I fix this or is this a glitch in Mozilla?

I just started using Firefox again this week and I'd like to know if there's any option or add-on for Firefox mobile to have better video playback control like Samsung Internet with (video assistant) or an option to open with an external player, I've looked but can't find any way to have better playback controls. I love Firefox and want to keep using, but this is a huge feature for me.

When I run firefox on WSL2, buttons dont work on any pop up windows. Foe example when installing a firefox extention - it will download and pop up a small window at the top right to add the extentionto firefox. The buttons dont work. Another example is when opening up the firefox menu bar (hamburger bar) - it will pup up a small window to allow to open up settings, go to add ons, open bookmarks or history. The buttons dont work. Last example is the pop up window for this Ash your question page for firefox support - When clicking "Which topic best described your question - it will pop up a small window to select what type of question Im gonna ask. The buttons dont work.

I dont know how to fix this. I restarted, deleted my firefox profile, started of safe mode, nothing worked. How do I solve this issue?

I've received my new PC and will be migrating from my old PC (Windows 10) to the new PC with Windows 11.

I use local folders in Thunderbird to keep various projects separate and more easy to manage. I have copied the current Thunderbird profile on to an external hard disk, I have found the location of the local folders and they reflect the structure in the Thunderbird screen I see. Thunderbird has been unstable for a few weeks so I would prefer a clean install but don't want to lose a lot of content that I still need.

1. Is there a way to copy over just the local folders, eg export them, rather than the whole profile? I deliberately haven't cleaned the server recently so that I can get back emails that still are in the in_tray but once they are in local folders they disappear from the Yahoo server. 2. Is there anything else significant I should be aware of before migrating? There is a backup on Mozilla but I prefer a clean install.
