For the past week or so I have been unable to play any Netflix videos in Firefox. Netflix works fine in other browsers and all other video streaming sites I've tried in Firefox still work. Initially the problem was that I would just get stuck on the red loading circle, however, after updating Firefox to the latest version (version 53), I now get an error message on Netflix telling me to check I have the latest version of Firefox, with an error code, F7702-1003. A solution posted from about a year ago involving changing the path in profiles.ini did not help, nor did removing pluginreg.dat.
I would be grateful for any assistance.

So I'm getting a error "Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available" and when clicking the link, it says H.264 and MSE & H.264 are not supported. I used to get the black error screen for a split second before the video would blink and (I'm guessing) select another player and just play normally. Today is the first day that I've had this screen permanently displayed and it only shows up for a few videos. I can watch other videos on the same channel, just one or two that have the error.
It's the same if I try it in Safe Mode or with a new profile. I updated Firefox to 49.0, updated java, updated windows media component, and tried it with "media.windows-media-foundation.enabled" true and on false. No changes
I'm at my wits end with this one! I can watch the videos just fine in Chrome, but would much rather prefer to continue to use firefox as my default browser. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Closing a FF4 session with multiple tabs, I am not asked to save tabs and so they don't redisplay upon restart.
In Tools-Options-Privacy I have unchecked Remember my browsing history Clear history when Firefox closes
The other options there are checked.
In Tools-Options-Tabs I have checked Warn me when closing multiple tabs.
Are my settings incorrect? Basically I want any open tabs to be reopened across sessions, but I don't want any other history to be retained.

I want to prevent pop ups, pop unders, etc. Literally not one answer was appropriate, so I am rephrasing the question. I want firefox to simply not even acknowledge the request to open ANY new window or tab from the html code, website, server etc. I don't even want it to alert me that is hasn't acknowledged the request to open a new window or tab. I don't EVER want to see a firefox window or tab or instance that I haven't directly caused via mouse or keyboard input, and I want it to be COMPLETELY transparent. How do I do that? (I don't care if the answer is long or technical.)

I cannot access a clients site that I'm working on due to an HSTS error, I used to be able to bypass this with test.currentTimeOffsetSeconds, however it seems to not work anymore.
I use Firefox for development because it has better tools than any browser I've use in the past, however this is a real blocker for me, since the sites I'm working on don't have DNS names yet and can't get updated certificates till then.
I've also manually added an exception in the certificate options, though that also didn't work.
Please guys, I've always been pushing people to use Firefox, though if it starts limiting my options without any way to bypass it if I feel I need to do something, then I'll be forced to go hunting for a browser that gives me more freedom, not to mention this is costing me work hours.

Is there a way to hide the arrow of a <select> element in Firefox 30 using CSS?
Maybe there's a hidden (pseudo) element or property I can access?
I couldn't find anything on https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/Reference/Mozilla_Extensions. I tried a couple of -moz-appearance values, but they either add styling I cannot remove, or they do not allow restyling, or they still show the arrow.
In Firefox 29, there was a hack that worked, described here: https://gist.github.com/joaocunha/6273016 it no longer works in Firefox 30. There is also a bug about the unstylability of select elements here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=649849. If anyone can point me to a changeset that might have changed this in Firefox 30, I'm also interested. I know I can hide the arrow by overlaying an element, or by nesting the select and hiding the overflow, I’m not really interested in that.

Firefox used to remember my bank password, but it does not any longer. After downloading the update to version 23.0.1 today, the remember password feature appeared broken.
I tried many things and eventually got passwords working on other sites, but not my bank. I deleted the saved password from the password manager in an attempt to try and get the Remember Password prompt to show up again, but it didn't work. I checked in Exceptions and it's completely empty, so that's not it. I also tried using the bookmarklet for fixing autocomplete on sites that it's disabled and my bank doesn't appear to disable it.
I've spent an hour and a half researching this and trying everything I could but I am at a loss. This computers main user is an elderly man so having the bank remember the password is a MUST.

I want to write a script to use firefox to download information on a series of addresses on a street. For example: 101 State St, 102 State St, 103 State St, ... etc. The script will cycle through the addresses and streets on interest. Does firefox.exe accept command line parameters that define a specific web page, and data to be filled in to that page?

Just updated to FF17.0 and the fonts look awful, something like when the ClearType is enabled in Windows. For the past several months, Firefox has been eating memory like crazy. Once I get more than 5 tabs open or have Firefox running for more than an hour or so, memory usage hits around one GB. If I keep letting it go beyond that, it'll hit 1.5-2 GB and it makes my whole desktop freeze up. I've taken to keeping Task Manager and every hour or so just kill Firefox and restart. That keeps it from crashing my whole desktop. It's definitely worse when I open Google products, especially Maps and Docs. GMail usually is OK.
I have tried disabling literally every Add-On and Extension (including Flash and Adblock).
I'm on Windows 7, I have 4 GB of RAM installed. I am on version 40.0 of Firefox, but this has been going on through a couple of updates now (I think the problem started around March or April). I also tried to back-rev Firefox and go to the last version I had before the problems started, but that didn't do anything either.
Chrome works fine on this machine without any similar problems -- but I prefer Firefox!

I noticed that Firefox 22 (which I am running) has a new feature: "Windows: Firefox now follows display scaling options to render text larger on high-res displays". Is it possible to adjust how Firefox responds to the display scaling options perhaps?
