Today on my Netflix I received a "widevineCDM plugin has crashed" message. I went to the plugins and everything is updated even my FireFox. I have uninstalled and re-installed this app, but nothing has helped. Not sure what else to do. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

I am already running a VPN for work on a Windows 10 system. What happens when I install Mozilla VPN? Will it play nice with my existing VPN or will it disable it? My understand is that only one VPN can run at one time. This was my experience with another VPN when two were installed on the same system. I had hoped the Mozilla VPN only operated within the Firefox Web browser and not on the device level.

Hello everyone. I can't be the only one with this issue. I'm on a Pixel 5, Android and Firefox for Android both up to date. I can't seem to find a way to block blobs from launching. you know, these videos embedded in some newspaper pages that launch automatically. anyone has a solution?

here's an example of site. it's a big french newspaper. you have to scroll down the page, slowly, until you see the video starting and no way to stop it.

My Widevine CDM Plug-in just crashed! I checked my Firefox settings and it looks like the Widevine plug-in just updated late last night, and is up to date. I fear the new update might be incompatible with my Firefox 78.10.Oesr / or my OSX 10.9.5 but I'm not sure. I'm not a mac savvy person but I'm always ready to learn. Any help would be appreciated!

My Firefox Developer Edition crashed. The menu disappeared all of a sudden and I can't get to any websites now. I tried removing everything FF related on my Macbook Pro and then downloading again and it still looks like the screen shot included here. Nothing going on at the top anymore and it looks like it's 'applying update' but this never ends.

Any ideas what might be the cause of this? And what I can try to fix it?

This seemed to all happen at the same time I was working on a GoDaddy managed WordPress website - while pushing my staging site to the production site. GoDaddy said their system software was being updated but that shouldn't affect a browser.

Thank you for any info you can give!

Hi, Thunderbird notified me of an update this morning, worked fine before that, I installed the latest update (78.6.1) and since then, the program starts with a blank window and isn't responding anymore. Running Windows10 home 1909. Since I've had this problem before after another update, I already tried the following: - new profile, I completely removed all traces of Thunderbird files under my AppData folder (local, localLow and roaming), it does exactly the same with a completely fresh profile so the issue is not profile related. Everything after that has been done with a fresh profile every time. - uninstalled Mozilla Maintenance Service, because last time I had this problem, uninstalling this service fixed the issue, not this time. - tried safe mode, even with a fresh install it would load at least the menu this time before not responding. - restart windows, several times. - tried 32 and 64bit versions, tried 78.5.1, same thing, 68.9.0 started right away, but I can't use my old(new) profile with this one, splendid.

I've already wasted several days with this issue last time and this is getting reaaally frustrating, I don't know what changed the past couple updates, but this is getting worse every time. Thanks for any kind of help.

Since I started using Firefox many years ago I have allowed it to remember history and every couple of weeks have delated the oldest history pages. Recently Firefox history covers only today and this page disappears when I close Firefox. Firefox is set to remember history but the function seems to have gone. How can I resurrect it?

I'm using latest version Thunderbird 78.10 and am now unable to download mail from my domain POP3 server. As soon as TB attempts to download mail I get the message: "Connection to server pop3.domain was reset". No mail is received. This problem does not arise with the Outlook mail program on my other computer, nor on my iPhone. All my mail downloads normally in those other mail programs. I've uninstalled my ESET anti-virus but this does not solve the problem. My ISP email technicians tell me that this problem is unique to Thunderbird. How can I safely overcome this TB email download blockage ?

Thunderbird 78.10.0 (64-bit)

My Exchange account configuration in Thunderbird: Return Receipts --> Use my global return receipt preferences for this account --> When I receive a request for a return receipt --> Never send a return receipt

Thunderbird is ignoring this configuration as it always sends back a return receipt.

For example:

  1. Write up a test email to yourself
  2. Options --> Return Receipt
  3. Send
  4. Wait for the email to be received in my Inbox
  5. Open the email --> at this point the return receipt is send
  6. After a few moment, the return receipt email is received in my Inbox

I have even tried changing my account configuration to switch from "Use my global return receipt preferences for this account" and to set the account directly to "Never send a return receipt" but that makes no difference at all.

I came to know about this because of a spam email that included the following headers:

Disposition-Notification-To: <infos@commandes.site> X-Confirm-Reading-To: infos@commandes.site Return-Receipt-To: infos@commandes.site

Exchange couldn't deliver the return receipt as the email address was no longer valid. Because of that I received back a failure notification from Exchange.

Is there any particular reason why Thunderbird is ignoring my account configuration? This is quite annoying as even spam email can trigger this behavior despite me explicitly not wanting them to know I opened it in the first place (just like we're not loading external content).

I have a dual boot PC Linux (Mint 19.3) & Windows 10 pc. I have Thunderbird 78.8.1 installed on Windows 10 and also installed on Linux. I have set the Thunderbird Profiles on both operating systems to use the same physical profile directory so that when I switch operating systems and open Thunderbird all my emails, accounts etc are there. It works perfectly apart from the Dictionary Add-On (In my case UK English), which I have to reinstall every time I switch between Linux and Windows. For information I always close Thunderbird before switching operating systems and start again in whichever Operating system that I am using.

I have the dictionary and language pack .xpi's downloaded in a folder named "Dictionaries" which I hold in my Thunderbird Profile folder.

I install the add-on by using the "Install Add-On From File" option (I always have to restart Thunderbird before it takes effect). It works fine if I stop and restart Thunderbird within that operating system.

However if I then close down the operation system and re-boot in the other operating system and start Thunderbird the dictionary is nor there and I have to do the "Install Add-On From File" all over again.

Is there anyway that I can set things so that it will remember the dictionary whichever system I use? I would be happy with any workarounds as long as I don't have to continually change it. I am only interested in using the UK English if that simplifies and possible solutions.

For the past week, every time I try to send out a group email, I am getting the following error message: An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.7.1 Message detected as spam. [1619116724-13848]. Please check the message and try again.

I have been sending to this group for a long time with no problems. Is anyone else having this problem and if so, what can be done about it? Thank you!
