I have migrated to a new email account. Both my new and old accounts were on Thunderbird. Yesterday I moved to delete the account I am no longer using. When I did this I was given the option of keeping my email folders---I have, or had, a lot of old emails I wanted to keep. So I selected to delete the account but keep the folders. When I hit the remove button all the folders disappeared.

Can anyone help? I am hoping to folders are still on my hard drive, can they be recovered and put into my new email on the computer? I am using a MacBook Air.

I usually never use my school account on my home PC but a few days ago I did. I signed in, finished my work and now I cannot use my other accounts. It says that Halton has blocked access to my account. I can't use YouTube or any of the things school blocks. I cleared the school account. I cleared cash. I cleared cookies. I reinstalled it. Please help.

I have uploaded my Yahoo email to Thunderbird and have now downloaded that to my desktop as POP. I see various folders as both "Mail" and Imap in my Profile on the Mac, with various subfolders as per my Yahoo email. When I open the various files, which are in detailed folders in the Imap folder, they are only visible as complex Text files. Is there I can open them with Outlook or Word, or something else easier to understand? Many thanks, Charles

I have been using Tbird for years and have never seen this issue. I have a client that when she sends an email, usually with PDF attachments, the email goes to the recipient but what gets placed in her sent folder is the header followed with random characters.

For example, this is what showed up in the sent email folder from a email sent with PDF attachment. This does not happen all the time but certainly happens enough for concern.

I accidentally blocked a web site that I need. I have followed all of the instructions to unblock (creating a master password, etc) but it does not work. I need to get this site unblocked as soon as possible.

This AM opened to 115.12.2 - completely different to what on yesterday. I am asked to configure an account with TB. I use my old email address and password. This works but now about a third of my sub boxes containing saved emails are missing. The ones that show up have no messages in them.

After clicking back and forth on the various options I note a line at the bottom of the page saying that emails are being downloaded to the various existing boxes. Eventually they have mail in them BUT only old mail to about 2019.

The questions are - where are the missing boxes/folders and why only some of the mail in the others?

I know where my profile info is on the hard drive. In 115 where do I read the name of the profile file it is using?

Hi, all of a sudden this morning, I cannot download my emails on my secondary account. Saved Passwords has the right info and when I re-enter the password via the "login.... failed" message, there is no change. Thanks, Larry

Здравствуйте. Последнее время заметил следующую проблему. При открытии некоторых сайтов, где есть видео или транляции, колесиком мышки открываю нужные видео или трансляции в новых вкладках. Ситуация следующая. Если не спеша открыть несколько вкладок, например 5, после перейти к ним, то нужно нажать в центре видео/трансляции "плей", чтобы видео стало работать. НО, если открыть вкладки (так же 5 или более) и сразу же переключаться на них, то видео будет автоматически стартовать. Раньше так и было при добавлении нескольких вкладок с видео, а после переключения на них, видео сразу открывалось. Теперь - нет. В настройках ничего нигде не менял, проверял как на версии браузера для пк на 133..., так и на последней 137... Отключал все дополнения, в настройках сайтов давал разрешение для автовоспроизведения аудио и видео. Хочу отметить, что такая проблема на многих сайтах. На некоторых же всё работает как и раньше. Также отмечу, что переустанавливал браузер с полной очисткой. Железо у пк хорошее, озу 32 гб. Никогда проблем такого рода не было. Прошу помочь с решением проблемы.

This is something I've never encountered, since I hardly ever go to the Sent folder except to look at something I sent. But this was a different task.

I've had a series of emails from a friend, that my wife wanted me to forward to her so she could see them. So I went to the Sent folder, and forwarded 3 of those emails to my wife. Then she told me she only got one so I went back to Sent and thought they would be at the top of the list, 1-2-3, but that was not what I found. Since those emails were each part of several different threads in the back and forth with my friend, it took me a long time to figure out which email to pick off and resend. I made sure I was sorting them by date, descending, but was bewildered that the listing had the ones I wanted embedded (see screenshot, with the ones I just sent highlighted in red)

So my question is, is there a setting where I could tell Tbird to sort strictly by send date?

I have two monitors: Monitor 1 is Asus PG248QP(Run in 1920 x 1080 360hz landscape 100% scale) Monitor 2 is G272U Pro(Run in 4320 x 2160 60hz landscape 150% scale). I arrange them veritcally, monitor 2 on top and monitor 1 at the bottom.

When I minimize the non-fullscreen firefox window on the monitor 1, black/transparent border shows on the left, right, and bottom of the firefox window.

When I arrange two monitor horizontally, everything normal. I place monitor 1 at the left of monitor 2.

When I do this on the monitor 2, everything normal.

I have to use two monitors vertically, since I don't have much space.

I also tried different versions of firefox. for now, 129.0 to 136 has these problems. I have install chrome, brave, edge. None of them has this problem.

today, i guess, it crashed completely . it started by firing of a warning that not enough space is provided which was not true, then it downloaded 10 messages at once... after a while, the message pane was lost. you click on an email and nothing. it selects it but nothing shows up. blank screen. double click, also opens a new blank tab. fearing a totally corrupt database or even a re-install i pressed repair on the folder. took ages. now, though, i have the profile folder in my PC intact, but TB refuses to load it. i only see the 20 emails i got lately. like starting a new profile all over again...

I got GREAT instructions from "David" just a few minutes after posting my question (Thanks, much, David : ). I followed his directions and was able to transfer LOTS of emails to a second computer. But the emails are from 2020-2021. The computer I copied the roaming file from goes up to today, 11/29/2024. How can I a get all the emails from 2021 up to 2024 installed on the second computer?
