Hi all,
So I have a pinned tab that is automatically refreshed via an extension. That extension is URL based. From time to time I may accidentally clicked a link on that tab and the URL changed then the auto-refresh stops.
In order to keep the auto-refreshed tab's URL, I would like to always open the links on that tab in a new tab, but keep normal behavior on any other tabs. Is it possible to do that?

periodic message filter not working properly

I am on w10 with TB 6.3.0esr (64bit) and I have set a message filter on one of my imap mailboxes which moves messages with a certain address to a local folder. This works as it should. Then I have 3 filters on that local folder which deletes messages with certain header information. I have ticked the "manually run" and the "periodically, every 10 minutes" option. All filters work when I run them manually but the periodic check does not work as it should. I sent some test messages to myself and waited for 30 minutes for the periodic check to do its job but nothing happened. Then I ran the filter manually and the messages were gone.
I could of course apply the filters directly to the incoming mailbox but from my understanding a periodic filter should run regardless of anything else.
Are there known issues with the periodic filter or is there a log file which may show what is going on?

I was playing around with some SSL settings in Emby, and I managed to get this 'Secure Connection Failed' error which says: An error occurred during a connection to emby.home.local:8920. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR
I'm not trying to fix the error, I just want to know what it means. I can't find any official documentation regarding this specific SSL error message.

When you have gmail open in a tab, Google can essential track what you are doing in all the other tabs open in that browser, and associate them with your account. Does the same apply for Thunderbird? IE if I set up Thunderbird with my gmail account, can Google now associate all activities taken on my computer with that gmail account? Or does Thunderbird exist within a container which prevents that kind of tracking? Many desktop clients that work with gmail, especially google calendar, are basically just browser emulators, and I do not know what protections Mozilla has in place here.

We use several FF profiles, one for each family member, on the same computer, usually they are open at the same time. Now if FF crashes for some reason or there is a power outage, sometimes session restore only works for one profile that is restarted first, while the others lose all the tabs that were open last time. Now I have a feeling that this is much more likely to happen if the browser was recently updated (it happened several times on the first restart after the update). I reckon that this might have something to do with the session restore only restoring one of the opened windows (which, as I understand, is now fixed). In each of the profiles the automatic session restore is set on.

I have also checked the dom.ipc.processCount which IS set to one. Firefox 68.0.

Background: My computer was acting up and, going into task manager, I brazenly exited out of some of the processes of Firefox thinking it might help. Obviously it didn't help and I'm sure at this point I just need to reinstall because it's basically been slowing my computer to a halt every time I've tried to use it since then, but weirdly enough, it completely messed up my extensions too*, even though nothing else regarding settings nor my profile was affected.
I'm fine manually reinstalling the extensions, especially considering I can carry over bookmarks and history anyway, but I must have had thousands of elements blocked on uBlock, all of which are gone, and there's a lot of styles that I don't know if I'd be able to find again as well. If there's some way to retrieve the data related to these extensions if it still exists somewhere, like the aforementioned blocked elements and styles, or scripts on Tampermonkey, or even settings related to the extensions- maybe they're all stored in similar places- then I'd really like to be able to do that. It would be fine just to be able to copy and paste the items back manually again. Even if I can't actually put it back in, it would be nice to be able to retrieve the files where they are so at least it's not wiped out on a reinstall. I realize that it's possible that one of these extensions is causing an issue, but they certainly weren't before this happened (I doubt what I did was actually an issue exacerbated by the extensions and as long as I don't do the same thing again I'd think it would be fine) and either way, even if I don't even use the extensions again, I'd just like to have the data there.
- The extensions themselves aren't uninstalled. Some work normally, some don't, but notably, every time I start Firefox, anything that's stored related to the extension, whether it be settings or just certain specifications, is gone. The toolbar drop-down menus open consistently. For instance, uBlock not only won't actually bring up its element blocker, but it also says it has zero elements blocked since install. Stylus also doesn't work, and all my styles have vanished. Tampermonkey worked running a script on Youtube, but once again, on startup, the script was gone.

I have been using a website where I've inputted data, Zip/Post codes & this has been stored for future use. But recently I "Cleared History, Cookies/cache, & as expected the stored data was deleted. I recently got a new computer and installed firefox. Every time the computer restarts, it wants me to log in for the sync feature ("Reconnect to Firefox Account" appears under options with an exclamation point). This did not happen on my old computer, so this is weird because all I've done is reinstalled firefox with the exact same settings/addons as before. This is my personal desktop computer so I don't want to have to re-log in every restart.

Used to run an addon (Get selected Mails) but apparently Mozilla is making it difficult to support simple addons.... My PC sat unused and on for a couple of days and T-Bird decided not to connect to the internet. The last time I used my PC T-Bird was working. I restarted it both with all add-ons and without; no help. I re-booted the PC and still no help. I suppose I could reinstall it. If I do will I lose my contacts and other folders where I file emails away? Any ideas?

Gents: I do not want to give my correct phone number for anyone to enter in their database. How can I use Sync w/o giving my true number? 2. I thought I had Sync set up previously but now it always hits me with the 'enter your phone number' which is a dead end for me.
3. I believe when the Support page is asking for my Yahoo email logon (for some reason) that it is linking my Yahoo with this support site instead of allowing me to use my normal logon. Is there a way I can check and be sure that these are not linked, and that I didn't miss some asterisk B.S. somewhere about "you are now giving support.mozilla or whatever was using this, to link my yahoo account?

I've been using Firefox for a while and I came across some great extensions. I would like to give each of them a rating to help other people find better extensions, but there seems no easy way to do so. On Google Play you can review installed extensions in Play Store easily by click each of them and use the one-tap rating button. On iOS, if you allow them, App Store will even prompt you a one-tap rater after you've installed some app and used for a while, which is even more convenient. I wonder if Firefox (could) have the same experience. Without it, it's harder to encourage people (who wish to spare the time) to involve in the rating system.
Clicking on Menu, Logins and Passwords results in "No Logins Found". Complete reinstall with registry wipe and re-sync results in same condition.

New login information is being saved, but again, not being displayed. This occurs on my HP laptop but works fine on my desktop. This is very frustrating. Please help.
