Hi, I am running Thunderbird v. 115.9.0 on Windows 10 on my desktop. I have been forced by Rogers in Canada to migrate my internet service from their legacy internet service to Rogers Ignite with its Ignite (Comcast) gateway. My email accounts were supposed to be migrated automatically, but, for reasons unknown, were not, and a tech support representative had to migrate them from the old legacy service to Ignite. After that was done, I opened Thunderbird, and was asked to authenticate my 2 Rogers/Yahoo email accounts, one of which is my primary account, the other a secondary account. I was asked to authenticate the secondary account first, which went well. I then clicked on my primary account in the left-hand pane and was again asked to authenticate, but the dialogue box showed it was for the secondary account. Thinking that this secondary account authentication was just being repeated for no particular reason, and not thinking that the email address in the authentication request box could be changed, I clicked Agree. My primary account is now showing the exact same emails as are listed in the secondary account, and I'm extremely concerned that I will not be able to recover all of the thousands of emails in my primary account, many of which are business-related. When I log into my primary account on the Rogers/Yahoo mail website, the emails in the primary account are still showing, so I know they are still on the Rogers IMAP server. However, I really want to continue to use my primary account on Thunderbird. I'm not sure if I should delete the primary account and recreate it - the Rogers support tech said that deleting the account may result in an issue where my current password for a re-created primary account may not be recognized, so I'm leaving things as they are until I hear back. It the advice is to not delete and recreate the account, what steps can I take to recover the emails on my primary account in Thunderbird. I have a Fastmail and 2 Cox addresses on rolled back Thunderbird 102. The Fastmail is IMap and both Cox addresses are POP 3. Cox is transitioning to Yahoo Mail, but we have kept our Cox addresses. I'm getting Yahoo mail web mail and think I should change the existing settings on Thunderbird and not create new accounts, but want to make sure. I saw something about Thunderbird and Yahoo and want to make sure I do it right or should use the third party setting for desktop clients that Cox provided for the transition. For me, the transition has not gone smoothly and I'm pretty frustrated. I am not a techie and any help in getting mail to the 2 Cox addresses landing in Thunderbird and the Fastmail continuing as is would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Logged into Mozilla, Sync now does nothing, "Last synced: never" Also crashes frequently all since last update.

Sadly, my old Windows 10 PC crashed, and I'm migrating to a new computer. I have a backup of the old default profile folder (9k7faw1z.default), but not of the entire Profiles folder. I have tried to import this old default profile using the import function in my new Thunderbird install on my new Windows 11 computer.

Alas, I get the error message "Import failed unexpectedly; more information may be available in the Error Console." I looked in the error console, and it's empty.

Is there a better way to import my old data from my old default profile folder? It's 3GB of valuable data and I'll be in a pickle if I can't access it.

Hi everyone,

I'm running Firefox which I compiled with vaapi support because I was trying to use hardware acceleration for videos, so I think this bug may have something to do with that. Every time I open a pdf file my browser instantly crashes. When I use troubleshoot mode I have no such issue. I then tried with a fresh all-default user profile with no add-ons, nothing, and still I crash when loading a PDF. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I just got a new computer and had my info transferred. It is probably the latest version of Firefox on the new computer now. On the previous version it seems like Favorites was spelled out toward the top of the page on the left hand side. I see now it is just a star icon. Is there any way to get it the way it used to be? I'm sure I will get used to it the new way, but I still liked it the other way. Thanks

Hello, Firefox just released the newest version on PC and advertised it with a speedtest: https://browserbench.org/Speedometer3.0/ I made that test and got a score of 7.03 I made that test on Opera mobile (My phone got locked while the speedtest was running, so this may had impact) and got a score of poorly 2.14 BUT on Mozilla mobile which I can confirm feels SLOW is the speed score: 1.70 And now lesser is not = better. I like that you can arrange tabs, I like that you can use addons, but I miss a scrollbar, I miss side LOADING/OPENING speed. Many many people love Firefox on PC, but why is it that slow on mobile? And why can I not get a button to scroll fast up and down? I have to install a addon which I need to access everytime to click "scroll to top/bottom". That isn't handy!

I really wish, the developers would share some love, because I LOVE firefox, but this is just not useable :( I mean come on, a scrollbar! Give it me! And SPEED. And no my Samsung Galaxy S10+ with 8GB ram isn't too slow.

I have Mac, Windows, and Linux boxes. All show connected to Firefox Sync, however, bookmarks etc are only actually in sync between Windows and Linux. I've tried logging out on all devices, resetting passwords, reinstalling FF on the Mac. Can't seem to get it to work.

I haven't been able to login with MFA on my uni website and also make purchases using credit cards on commercial sites.

I have tried Troubleshooting mode and the problem persists. Switching to Opera browser showed normal functionality.

I am currently on Thunderbird 115.10.1 (64-bit) and for a few days now, I can't open the calendar tab. The "Today Pane" is working and showing events though.

When going to "View" the items "Calendar" and "Tasks" are greyed out though.

Any idea on how to get the calendar back? The company will move us all to Exchange and Outlook soon, so I thought I might "survive", but it is pretty impractical have to open my calendars separately in the browser. You only notice how often you use something, when you don't have it. ;-)

As of this morning, I'm unable to click on links in emails and have the URL open in my default browser. When I click such a link, the menu bar darkens as the mouse button is down, and lightens when the mouse button is released. Nothing else seems to happen.

I hope you can help; this is a major problem.

For some reason my tab icons look a little low, and I would like them more vertically centered.

I've been trying to move these icons around using some older code that doesn't seem to work anymore.

The code below no longer has any effect.

Does anyone know how to move the tab icons up 1 pixel?

Just a short time ago Version 125.0.3 downloaded. Since then I cannot open Youtube without it crashing. When I ask it to restore the tab (one of 2 choices offered, it crashes again. After 4 or 5 times I close the tab and switch to another browser. I shut off the one extension I had running. That fixed nothing. I looks like my 2019 iMac is too old and I need to go back to an earlier version.

I am running Thunderbird on Linux Fedora. I have two accounts set up. One of them is an icloud account. Every day, many times per day, it prompts for password. I have a nightmare to get one for it due to the new way Apple deals with stuff like this. I have to get an 'App Specific Password', which involves logging in, which I hate doing and doesn't work because I use a VPN and Apple discriminates against VPN users and locks my account every time i login (even though it's the same IP address every time).

I did manage to generate one, which got rid of the problem for a day or two, then it came back, generated again, and so I go around, each time having to unlock icloud account, remove old password, generate a new one, paste it into TB and then its fine for a few hours/days.

Would be very grateful for any ideas why this is happening and how to cure it.

Dear Sirs,

I have a common layout for folders. If I create a new folder, Thunderbird 115.10.1 (and previous versions) always uses a different layout. Sometimes I forget to change the layout and when opening the newly created folder I am confused. I find it also annoying to always apply my folder layout to the newly created folders.

Is there any method/setting to define/set the layout for new folders?
