Hi I am having problems with Thunderbird, i’m not sure if it’s to do with a windows 11 update or something else. Thunderbird is not responding also at the start of the ‘not responding’ emails from one of my accounts disappeared and then gradually started to reappear but didn’t get up to date and now just not responding st all. I have tried various things to resolve this, uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird, doing this and opening my pc in safe mode, doing this and opening Thunderbird in safe mode. Deleting and reinstalling the latest windows 11 update, reinstalling the latest Thunderbird update. I don’t know what to try next? I read somewhere to delete your profile, after saving it, and getting a new profile but no idea how to do this. Any help appreciated.

For the last few weeks, when using Thunderbird on Windows and writing a draft email, when clicking on the button to create a link, the draft email window freezes. This also happens if I use the menu bar Insert -> Links...

All other Thunderbird windows remain functioning, and I can effectively continue working, but the frozen draft window will remain on screen until closed through Task Manager.

This only happens when creating a Link, not inserting other objects, like an Image. This problem also does not happen with Thunderbird on Ubuntu.

I am running version 115.10.1.

Hi, starting with Thunderbird 126.b02 (al least) there are very heavy perfoming issues. Beyond crashes it takes approximatly 10 seconds to open a specific email. Moving to another account is much more difficult: taking itself a much of time it takes supplemental time to open the INBOX. Despite an Raphael on-dice-graphics I'm running a discrete Radeon RX 6700XT. HDD is far away from being over-lastet or running out of memory

I have a Fastmail and 2 Cox addresses on rolled back Thunderbird 102. The Fastmail is IMap and both Cox addresses are POP 3. Cox is transitioning to Yahoo Mail, but we have kept our Cox addresses. I'm getting Yahoo mail web mail and think I should change the existing settings on Thunderbird and not create new accounts, but want to make sure. I saw something about Thunderbird and Yahoo and want to make sure I do it right or should use the third party setting for desktop clients that Cox provided for the transition. For me, the transition has not gone smoothly and I'm pretty frustrated. I am not a techie and any help in getting mail to the 2 Cox addresses landing in Thunderbird and the Fastmail continuing as is would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm running Firefox which I compiled with vaapi support because I was trying to use hardware acceleration for videos, so I think this bug may have something to do with that. Every time I open a pdf file my browser instantly crashes. When I use troubleshoot mode I have no such issue. I then tried with a fresh all-default user profile with no add-ons, nothing, and still I crash when loading a PDF. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I want to change the line spacing in my emails to single line including paragraph spacing. Advice given in previous posts says to select Menu then Options. I have clicked on the 3 bar Menu icon and Options is not there. I clicked on Tools in the Menu Bar and Options is not there either. I apparently have to get to Composition, but cannot find a way of getting there.

I added a PNG picture as a background to my emails. Instead of a single background picture, it produces a collage (can't think of another word) of multiple copies of the same picture. Any way to just get a single picture?

Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? I cannot open any Games on the NY TImes site with FIrefox for the past month; no problem with Chrome. Today, two article links opened but then the page went blank (repeatedly), while other links worked fine. Again, no problem with Chrome. My wife can't get into proxyvote.com with Firefox--again, a blank screen. Where is this weirdness coming from?

Hi Friends.... This morning logged into my website as usual and this message appeared on the home page. I have not checked the link as it seems potentially malicious ... It does not appear when visiting my site on Safari. I have emptied the cache I have been through troupbleshooting mode I have reinstalled Firefox and it still is there..

I'm having trouble using a particular site, that I used to be able to in particular clicking on sub menu's from a context menu if that is the correct term, meaning I cannot click an item/button to reveal a menu below it. From the image supplied there are 2 'menu's' with a < character that when clicked should reveal a sub menu of items, works in Edge/Chrome etc.. the only extension I have is Keeper.

My yahoo homepage on firefox looks totally different than it did last week. Chrome and edge still look like the home page should but firefox does not. I screen shared with yahoo and they said it was a firefox issue. Anyone know how to make the homepage look like chromes and edge? I added pics from edge and firefox for comparison.

Workflow: I have a firefox instance already running. I want to launch a new firefox in safe-mode to test something without disrupting my existing firefox.

Problem: I try to launch a new firefox in safe mode using `firefox --safe-mode`, but firefox just opens a new window NOT in safe mode.

I think it may because firefox in safe-mode requires launching launching from a new instance rather than attaching to existing instance.

`firefox --help` shows a flag I can use:

--new-instance Open new instance, not a new window in running instance. --safe-mode Disables extensions and themes for this session.

So I run `firefox --safe-mode --new-instance`

now I get error popup with message:

"Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To use Firefox, you must first close the existing Firefox process, restart your device, or use a different profile."

Now I think what is the point of the flag "new-instance" if Firefox doesn't support multiple instances?

Regardless, how can I launch firefox in safe-mode without disrupting my existing firefox instance and without relying on creating a profile just for this?

I have enabled Firefox Sync between my laptop and my Android. When I go to the manage history tab on my laptop, the history of both my laptop and phone is shown but without the device the tab was viewed on. Is there a way to filter history based on which device I viewed on?
