My OS = Linux Mint 19.2 Tina 64-bit, Kernel Linux 4.15.0-70-generic x86_64, MATE 1.22.0. Just updated my trusted Thunderbird of many years, to the latest version, via the Linux updates portal, and to my utter dismay the Wallnut 2 Complete Theme is no longer compatible! After searching in Thunderbird Complete Themes for a similar complete theme, there is absolutely nothing that is compatible/suitable for this last version of Thunderbird. The 3 basic default themes are either too hard on the eyes in brightness or too black. While I'm not seeking 50 shades of grey, a light, medium or dark range of 'Default Themes' would have been a more practical set of option, surely. Is there any way that I could tickle the 'Dragons' settings to either get a 'Battleship Grey' complete theme or is it just a case of waiting for a 'Mozillian Magician' to program an updated version of the beautiful Walnut 2 theme? BTW, Have A Very Joyful Festive Season to each and everyone of you.

Installed Enigmail in Thunderbird a couple weeks ago. Noticed mail transfer item which I did not add in addons or preferences. Last week noticed a huge outgoing transfer of unknown data. Found additional folder in /.thunderbird/user/"pepmda". Deleted the folder. Within the last three days this folder "pepmda" has been reconstituted in my users folder and then found in addons "FileLink for WeTransfer". It feels like I am being snooped on. OR - Enigmail is automatically reinstalling the addon. OR- I do not know how to properly get rid of this bug. So let me know what is going on. oh yeah, have been using Thunderbird and Firefox satisfactorily for the last ten years enjoying the ups and downs as the support team valiantly crushes bugz and crosses the tape ahead of its competitors. Why is this if I'm up-to-date? Second, I tried the update and the update opened as a new install w/o incorporating anything such as my existing sent messages, trash, contacts and most importantly my local folders. However the other vital add on Theme and font changer is not available for this version. The size of the menus is so small as to be almost impossible to read on a small laptop. Any chance of an updated version the the Theme and Font Add On? Thanks

Hello All - Apologies. I'm not as computer savvy as you are. I'm trying to move my Thunderbird emails from a Windows PC over to a 2019 iMac. The emails have sentimental value.
I've been searching this forum for the past two weeks trying to figure this out on my own. There's a video and a file (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer) that explain the migrating process; I've followed these instructions 7 or 8 times without any success. I've gone in and deleted all traces of Thunderbird from the iMac before each new migration attempt. I replace the profile file with what should be the correct profile file, but the newly installed Thunderbird doesn't "see" the old local mailboxes and instead prompts me to create a new account.
I was successful years ago in moving my Thunderbird account from one PC to another. This current situation is throwing me for a loop. It is probably something ridiculously easy that you will think everyone knows about, but clearly I don't. Thanks so *very* much for your help.

When you have gmail open in a tab, Google can essential track what you are doing in all the other tabs open in that browser, and associate them with your account. Does the same apply for Thunderbird? IE if I set up Thunderbird with my gmail account, can Google now associate all activities taken on my computer with that gmail account? Or does Thunderbird exist within a container which prevents that kind of tracking? Many desktop clients that work with gmail, especially google calendar, are basically just browser emulators, and I do not know what protections Mozilla has in place here.

Master password had been working fine for months now. This week, all of a sudden, Firefox will open and function without asking for my password.
After a few minutes it will ask for the pass.... and then it will repeat every 10-15mins to ask for the password again.
(This is only some sessions. 1 out of 3 maybe. The rest of the time Master Password works properly, just like before.)

I had 2 Firefox browsers that had a bunch of tabs open. I mistakenly clicked a link in Outlook that opened Firefox for that webpage. I quickly closed it from the toolbar, realizing I might lose all the other tabs, and I did lose them. I had at least 14 in one, 16 in another, and is there any way I can go back and retrieve them? Does Firefox keep any backups of open tabs so I can get to them? I had so many open, there's no way I can remember which ones they were, because I multitask like crazy. Now, I'm afraid to use it at all, just in case the more I do, the more the previous sessions will be lost. YIKES! I just moved, got my computer back up and running, and now this. I could chew my own arm off for this. Can anybody out there help me?

However, since firefox unable to modify keybinds leads to unfixable problem. Pressing Ctrl+R only refresh current page, not opening the history too. I would like to revert it back to Ctrl+H, because that's how most browser works too.

Having long been puzzled by what Firefox considers to be my location, I have tried to find out how to set or change it. I followed all leads that seemed promising. the most direct lead was through the Menu (three bars in my PC-based Firefox). It does not contain the Settings option, nor any kind of 'More' option. I even used the about:config lead simply to find it is enabled. All I know is that Firefox holds a Location other than what I would want to to. But I simply cannot find a way to identify where its held; so I can change it.
Given how straight forward this need is I am puzzled on how hard it is to find out how to change it. Can someone help, other than by repeating the common instructions for using the Menu? I attach my list in case it helps.
