Firefox is periodically giving me a notification that there is an update available. It does this multiple times a day, generally appearing to happen if Firefox has been "not in active use" ie minimized for some period of time. I've already clicked "not now", so I shouldn't be seeing it anymore.
How do I disable it? I don't want to update unless I absolutely have to (ie back when all the addon certificates expired) due to Mozilla's penchant for making unwanted changes to the UI. I just want the notification to go away and not appear again.
As it is, this is basically a form of very annoying spam coming from the browser itself.

Firefox updated sometime today. Now it won't connect to Amazon - Really? I sell on Amazon. I need to work. I cannot take 2 hours to fix Firefox and I am not very well versed in trouble shooting.
It doesn't connect when I type in the address bar It doesn't connect from my bookmarks It doesn't connect when I google Amazon and try that link It doesn't connect with or without www.
If I don't find an answer that I can use quickly and easily, I will be going to Safari. I'm used to Firefox. It has been my go to for 15 years. This is ridiculous.
Is anyone else unable to visit Amazon?

I am using Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit (fully updated) and Firefox 68.0 64-bit.
The problem is that when I download any .zip archive and tell Firefox to "Open with... 7-Zip File Manager" (or with Windows Explorer), after the archive has finished downloading and opened in a 7-Zip window (or an Explorer window), I cannot drag-and-drop the file contained in the archive onto a Windows Explorer window or the desktop. No matter where I try to drag the file to, the Windows mouse cursor is always a "cancel" icon and won't let me drop it anywhere.
If I then close the archive window and reopen it from the download folder (C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Temp), now I can drag-and-drop correctly.
I know that this is a problem with Firefox, because if I try the same operation with the same .zip archive using the current version of Tor Browser (8.5.4 32-bit (based on Mozilla Firefox 60.8.0esr)) or with Internet Explorer (11.0.9600.19399) I do not have this problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

Suppose i want to access 123newss.com, which uses technology from t.com I create a ublock "global-filter" of the domain t.com, that blocks loading of t.com at 123newss.com and everywhere else. For some reason i'm a frequent user of t.com, and whenever i try to visit t.com i have to temporary unblock the blocking of t.com. This creates a lot of friction since i'm a frequent user of this url. If i create a ublock/whitelist of domain t.com then ublock allows every tracker to load at t.com, eg. t.com visit triggers loading of 21trackers.com.
The idea is - Block tracking urls globally, but allow auto whitelisting of urls when visited directly. Analogy: prevent embedded yt videos from loading in arbitrary website, but allow when you have visited 125yt.com, without also allowing every other 21trackers.com domains at 125yt.com from loading. Sounds like containerization or "cross-site" url loading block. Is it possible or am i missing something?

In short, I have now been major cyber attacked by over one year (sure of 8 months). The thing is why I am writing also here (also informed F-secure also), is that total privacy (that ofc is the idea of Mozilla and Thunderbird). The one part of the cyber attack or rather attacks are (tried to) hide themselves by using ie. in the Mozilla, Mozilla Dev Ed. and Thunderbird as "fronts" to do their illegal stealing of all private info. The attack actually pings every 2 minutes everything about what I have done (software, settings, keylogger etc...) and sending it forwards.
As the issue is so huge, I am quite lost what to send you goodhearted people helping here and I am sorry that my message is quite "to the point", but as I am not a newbie with ICT I am trying to save scrambling about and go to the point. I hope you do not think offensively about me for that....

I suspect Illegal usage of MS Azure (as info is sent to both Akamai (MS Azure server base in Holland) and to Amazonaws (to be exact I suspect Amazon S3). The attack does not end there, it is also connected to my both cells (Samsung s9 and Huawei Honow 7S). WIn 10 home has client server, group admin policies, Async, Active Directory, SharedDNS etc...
Also information is sent to the cells by cookies and bc.googleconsent. So everything is connected together.
I am using F-Secure safe (in both Laptop and both cells) and it can go trough and fool the anti-virus, but when looking at the ie. right of the apps on android, it seems that they have been given huge boost (the most rights I have counted is 112. Meaning that they can take over everything in my phone, make calls, close calls, find out every connection, take over bluetooth, wifi etc... Also Firefox is influenced there just as it is on the Laptop (HP Omen).
I am sorry for my hurried input, but as the thing is so huge, I think that if the main company (Mozilla) is willing, I think this needs a direct communication, or with some other goodhearted person.

I have an Addon acting up, Webroot Filtering Extension. I can disable it, but I would like to remove and download fresh. The 3 dots by the extension does not have option to remove like the other Addons. Webroot is no longer showing the check mark when doing a search. There is a clear circle where the check mark should be. I am not sure if this started when I updated to Windows 10 1903 or when going to Firefox 68? I have disabled and enabled Webroot Filtering Extension and that doesn't help, restarts don't help.

It used to be that when customizing the toolbar, you could insert a simple "separator" (vertical line) between other buttons. But this is missing in more recent versions of Firefox. Why was this removed? The only remaining option is "flexible space", but this takes up too MUCH space. I just want my simple separators back!

PLEASE HELP BEFORE I GO INSANE. Firefox is great with a youtube video download add-on, recently Firefox was asking me to restart with the latest Firefox version 67.01, My youtube downloader was working fine so I put the Firefox restart off till another day and continued for around a week downloading my favourite drummer vids, all was TickaDeeBoo until I decided to go for the latest Firefox 67.01 restart, now my video downloading days are over. I have worked my way through the list of add-on's only to find none of them do the trick. Every time I choose a downloader add-on I click on MP4 360 as it has the audio too, other options are with no audio, no good to anyone. Once clicked, my download destination appears, I click save to store the video in my downloads, in the top right hand corner next to View History & Saved Bookmarks etc is the downward pointing download confirmation arrow which lights up immediately but sadly shows as 0 MegaBytes. Where as when the add-on was working that same downloading arrow would only light up once it had truely downloaded the chosen video. Its really funny you know because about 2months ago I was using an add-on that would only bring up downloading options (MP3,MP4 etc) if you avoided clicking actually on the word "Download", In other words clicking not on the word but away from the word but still inside the box, how weird is that, but it worked everytime, sadly no more. I am a Drummer who follows the lives of my favourite world class Drummers, its great when an add-on works, sound & vision. But when its not working all I can do is record the audio and make do with that. I have been saving in my youtube play list all the video's I've not been able to download in the hope that some day soon that will all change for the better. I sincerely would be over the moon to have this feature back even if its just for a short while (until it all goes pair shaped again) TO THOSE IN THE COMMUNITY, ANY IDEAS ??? Kind Regards, Jonathan.
