I try to install Firefox on a HP Z1 G8 desktop under Windows 11 Pro. The first time I get a warning that a .dll is not available or so (I dont know what this warning is precisely, becaus it pops up for 2 seconds only ) , and firefox is not well installed, reinstalling goes without warning, but still Firefox starts and then stay dead, no sites, no settings. I know the security in this computer is very thight, but other apps install without problem and functions.

Why Firefox cant be installed where other apps can ??????

who has experienced this also and has a clou ?? thanks Ferdinand

As I long time user and supporter (have donated and even got a shirt to show!) I have never had any issues with my beloved FF. If anything minor had happened, I would always find a quick fix on the community forums.

This one is an odd ball: for a while now Firefox forgets all saved passwords but only after a cold reboot (not a restart or sleep).

It's my elderly mum's laptop, which I manage for her using a remote desktop app. It's a fairly new Asus Vivobook with Win11, fully updated and free from viruses and hacks as we have installed paid versions of both Malwarebytes and HitmanPro.Alert. My Windows desktop runs exactly the same OS and those two security software, and my FF never ever forgets anything! The only difference is that her Windows and FF are set to the Italian language while mine is English.

After trying a "refresh", I exported her passwords and bookmarks and took the drastic step of completely wiping FF and even removing profiles. Reinstalled the latest x64 version and the problem is still happening.

Had a good look at both security software to ensure there was no funny setting to cause that to occur, fact is the laptop also runs Chrome and Edge with all the same saved passwords yet those two pesky browsers never forget anything!

Personally, I'd much prefer for her to continue to use FF rather than the other two, so I am shouting out for HELP, please! Hope someone has seen this and/or knows how to fix it.

This is a very bizarre problem. Basically I can't install any Firefox addon neither on my desktop OR may laptop. I noticed this issue just couple of days ago. When I try to install any addon normally, from a link, it tells me that the addon can't be installed because the file is corrupt. Tried several addons, all same problem. On my desktop AND on my laptop. On my desktop I'm running ver. 103, but on my laptop I still had ver. 102.1, so there is no Firefox update issue. When I try to install addon from xpi file, it tells me that I have no permission to open that file and that's it. I tried to take ownership of that file but it didn't solve the issue I tried to disable my AV program, but it didn't do anything. On my laptop, I tried to refresh FF, no help. I tried to start FF in safe mode, same problem. I created new profile, same issue. Eventually, I totally uninstalled FF, removing program itself, removing Appdata folder and even registry entry. Installed fresh copy of FF, same problem exists. Then, I noticed one thing. When I tried to sync fresh FF installation on my laptop, it synced everything, EXCEPT for addons. So, something is preventing me doing anything regarding addons. Themes install just fine. I've struggling with this problem since yesterday and at this point I totally ran out of any fresh ideas how to solve this issue, thus posting here. I'll appreciate any fresh idea as what to do next. I clicked on 'block cookies' option( never seen this before but I trust you guys so....) when I logged onto firefox this morning, since then there are various apps I cannot get on to, eg Twitter, my banking through Nationwide, very frsutrating. So I tried to set a restore point prior to thios morning but that made no dofference, getting desperate now.

Slow operation and lockup with some urls that work correctly with chrome.

hello! hope you are doing well, I recently got this problem where the bookmark bar does not appear on my browser even though it is on the "always show" option, it appears when I first open the browser, but once I enter any site, it disappears again, even on new tabs, and when I try different options for the BM, it makes it appear for one use only. I tried looking for solutions on the internet but to no avail. can you help me fix it? thank you in advance!

Hello, My firefox has been randomly exiting for a longer time now. (I reopen Firefox it restores itself without any crash info) I've already tried reinstalling and using the cleaning tool. Now I wanted to remove my Addons, but one of them isn't deletable. It also has no name displayed which confused me... Furthermore, there are only "InstalTime12345678"-files in the crash reports directory (which I think aren crash reports). It seems to me the mysterious addon is installed through the policies. (I have a screenshot attached and uploaded them https://pastebin.com/59wzMDyv) This is my private computer and I never set those. Has anyone seen this before or can help? Thanks

For awhile now whenever I visit Kickstarter, I never get the full page to load. I mainly notice it in the header where the info for the campaign information doesn't show on Firefox. I've tried playing around with my widgets and protection to see if that would allow the page to fully load, but nothing has worked.

I was wondering if I can enable this function (that green text saying "Mozilla Foundation (US)") or it was deleted. If it's still in browser, can someone show me how to enable it?

Hi, I can't change the default hover color of buttons in the navigation bar. It either remains totally unaffected or there appears a larger background image of my color overlaid with the smaller default hover image. Hover on the bookmarks toolbar works fine, except for the "Show more bookmarks" chevron, which behaves exactly like a navigation bar button. I tried these:

Hi, yesterday I got a new computer and I installed the Firefox on it, but when I started the browser for the first time, it was a mistake (I pushed the button by accident), so I immediately closed it. It was asking something about allowing the use of coolkies, but I didn't answer to that and simply closed the window.

The thing is that since then my firefox don't load properly. The buttons and the autocomplete are normally responding, but all pages (including the settings) are blank and sometimes it won't start at all and I have to close it with taskmanager to make it open next time (but still blank).

Does anyone have the idea what's going on?

Hello. When I open a private window and try to pin it to the taskbar, it instantly changes into the normal (non-private) Firefox icon and then only opens normal windows when I click on it. It's been like this since I reset Windows and reinstalled Firefox yesterday. I tried to reinstall it again but it still does this. Any help would be appreciated.

is it possible to make this opened site/s bar smaller,less wilde ,see my screenshot, this one by : nieuw tabblad like using fonts in about:config. the internet bar i find ok.

I use Firefox as my primary browser, and Comodo IceDragon as a back-up browser. For about the past week my Hotmail account, accessed through Outlook Live website, does not load it just brings up a white screen. I deleted all my temp files, and anything else I could think of that may be preventing it, but that did not work. In fact after doing this I have not been able to access my USAA account, it takes me to the log in screen and once I put in my user name it just keeps asking for the user name, it does not go any further. The pages are loading correctly with the Comodo IceDragon browser which I believe is very similar to Firefox.

I would very much like to get this issue resolved. I hope to get a response soon.

I thought I had two different accounts. Home, with my personal email and work, with my work email. My work computer crashed a few months ago, and out IT department was able to recover all my bookmarks, but it wasn't easy, so I was told. I decided to do what I do at home and that was to create an account for work, which I did. I now have an account for home with it's own bookmarks, and email, and a work account with it's own bookmarks and totally different email. I recently got a work phone. In the process of setting it up I synced it up with my work account. when I came home tonight I got online and all my work bookmarks were on my home computer. How did this happen? Now I don't have my home bookmarks. I tried signing out and signing back in with my home account, but no luck. This is very frustrating especially since they are two totally different accounts. SO, how do I get my home bookmarks back on my home computer? Thanks

Hi! Yesterday i updated my firefox to last version and i got my UI way too big, so today i looked online for some fix on that. I found a fix saying if you add a line in about:config site with the parameter "ui.textScaleFactor" with a value of 100 it will be fixed. but by mistake i changed it to 10 insted of 100 so when i open firefox i have a super big black screen

most of my problems are i can't reinstall firefox because it made the same weird big ui problem. There is any way to fix it?

The most recent update to Firefox introduced duplicate 'Manage Bookmarks' option in the bookmark drop down. Is there a way to remove the bottom one in an option that I'm not finding? The only thing I've found searching is from a few years ago talking about setting up a CSS file, which I've never done before.
