I recently got seriously worried when I became aware about the new AI firewalls these days, which monitors or inspect SSL encrypted packets, before the packets reach to the main website. These new AI firewall systems are installed in some countries by their governments to suppress free speech, or just spy on its people. These firewalls, as you may already know, uses DPI-SSL system, which decrypts packets traveling from user to the main website. To decrypt the HTTPS packets, these firewalls uses its own self signed CA certificates. So I am asking the firefox developers, that why you guys allow this privacy issue? Does the packets sent from a firefoxe browser to other websites are also decrypted, by these firewalls? If yes, then why you guys allow this? Firefox must ONLY allow a specific CA certificate made for firefox browser only. Firefox browser must never let other third party softwares, or any software, to decrypt its encrypted packets. This is a serious privacy issue. With these firewalls, they can see what users write in chats, or posts, they can see witch content we are watching on a website, they can see who we follow on social media platforms, they can see which content or posts we like and etc. Even passwords are not safe anymore, which e use for any website of platform. When passwords are not safe, so does our accounts of various websites. This is a serious privacy breach.

These firewalls is a weapon for those countries which want to suppress free speech or suppress opposition sides in a government or spy on its own people.

If you are currently using a normal window then there are ways to open a bookmark or link in a private window. But if you are currently using a private window then how would you open a bookmark or link in a normal window?

I have tried several things including pressing shift+enter or choosing "Open in new Window" from the context menu, but this just opens the bookmark or link in a new private window.

My current method is to copy the address of the bookmark or link then paste it into the address bar of a normal window.

But is there a more direct method of opening bookmarks or links in a normal window, if currently in a private window?

I have a problem when I read a specific webpage and firefox jumps to the end of the webpage. This happens with one specific webpage, a Swiss newspaper: call www.nzz.ch - Now, select one of the articles but in the following way: do a right-click on the title of the article and select "open in new tab". (This is important: it does not happen if you left click on the article and open it in the actual tab.) Now you have the article in a new tab, you begin reading it and slowly scroll down using the mouse wheel. But then, with the slightest scroll back (upwards), firefox will jump to the end of the web page. All you can do is go back (ctl+upward arrow) and look for the place where you have been. Once this has happened, firefox will no longer scroll to the end of the page, you can scroll up and down, and everything works fine. But if you close the tab and open this or another article again with right-click, open in new tab, you have the insane effect again. I know it takes just two mouse clicks to open the About dialog, but I'd like to bookmark it so when I check my daily bookmarks by right-clicking a folder and clicking "Open All Bookmarks", it would be displayed. I have done every single thing including reinstalling Firefox. The Youtube videos will not buffer in my Firefox browser in ANY mode, safe, troubleshooting, etc. I got it to start after reinstalling then about a minute into the video it started buffering again. I can watch vids in ANY other browser, and am connected by ethernet to my router.

Hello! I accidentally clicked to restore default setting in the customize toolbar menu, and now all of my tab/address bar/bookmark bar setting and locations are different and I don't like it at all. Previously, the address bar was above the tabs and the full length of the window. Now the tabs are at the top and the address bar is on the same bar as the bookmarks I have saved to the bookmark bar. The address bar goes full length if I remove the bookmark bar but I want to have both on the screen at the same time, on their own bar, as I did before. I have looked through the all of the settings and customize options, and can't find anything that will move my address bar to the top above the tabs, or a way to keep the address bar and bookmark bar open and available separately. Help! Thanks. :)

I stopped using Firefox because of the level of BS Big-TEch involvement and lack of PRIVACY. I've been using BRAVE. But they are'nt much better. So I'll switch between as I feel fit. Just so you know. My recent irritation is Shortcuts. I like the speed and convenience of CHOOSING & USING my shortcuts.

I do NOT like the option of "sites you save or VISIT" That is NO option. I DO not want YOU choosing to save every site I VISIT and loading onto my screen. This is not a choice. Just because I visit a site WHY do you save it to shortcuts? It's a PITA deleting crap I don't want.
