I am plagued with multiple spam messages every hour. I get 30-40 per day every single day, day after day after day. The spammer is clever and has managed to elude being caught by the Bayesian filtering of both Gmail and Thunderbird so they pretty much all end up in my 'Inbox'. ( he is spoofing the sending domain with 128 random characters so no two messages are ever seen to be from the same sender). Very frustrating!! But there is a possible way to trap and discard this trash **IF** I can use Unix style regular expression wild cards in my filter rules.

 My question is this --- when setting up a new email filter in Thunderbird, what (if any) wild cards are supported in the "Sender Contains" argument field?  For example can I use ".........." to match any 10 character string?   I need to be able to specify the number of characters I want to match, so something like "*" would not work since it matches without regard to the number of characters.   I need to specify how many characters are to be matched.

I can supply details as to why this is needed, but I won't bore you with the details unless you ask.

I am the product manager of a browser extension on your store

Our former CTO has lost access to the store a while ago (we no longer find the two-steps authentification device and we have lost the backup codes as well), which means that we can no longer update our browser extension because we can no longer login as the admins of that product.

I know that you indicate in your documentation - see screenshot - that you cannot help if we no longer have the backup codes. But I prefer to contact you anyway because we are currently blocked and can no longer manage our own product.

Please, would it be possible to get in touch with me and indicate the next steps recommended to us?

I have two email accounts I access via TB. Each has its own smtp server. Upon migrating to 102.8 I cannot keep them separate, it forces the latest one that I edited to be the default one and operate for both accounts, which impairs my ability to send emails efficiently. How can I handle this? Thank you.

I am trying to block out the new little "stick marks" that post while I try to log on to a site that that I need to "google" and log on to. I tried to sign out of all the "outside sites" that want to log on, but there are sites that I need to log on to and have done this in the past. I usually go to these sites because they are important to my transacting business, accessing my bank, places I pay my bills, etc. If I want to get to these and order or pay a bill, I have to unblock each one of them??? How do I do that? If a credit company wants to contact me, they cannot do this even if we have contacted each other previously? Really?

How do I undo this already-marked system and get out of it? As you can guess, I am old and not up with the times. Please simplify your answers so a not-technical person can understand it.

autofill for credit card not longer available. I had it for some time, but within the last week or two, it disappeared, and there is no longer an option under privacy/security settings in the browser.

Firefox is my default browser. I am sure that I have literally dozens of site logins that use my primary email address as the ID or as a recovery email (including Firefox itself). I now want to use a different email address (gmail or something more generic), since there's a slight possibility that my current email provider may not exist in the future. Is there a way to get Firefox to give me a complete list of all website logins that use this specific email address? (I don't care about passwords, I just need to know which sites I have to change.)

I haven't been able to use Java Script ever since I got Firefox. Last update I got it said type about:config and then I'll be careful, I promise! I put both them in and nothing at all. Please help!

I got a "Secure connection failed during a connection to duckduckgo.com. I am using WIN xp and Mypal browser. I get the same message if I try Firefox. What do I do now?

Hi Firefox team,

I searched online about TLS 1.0 support history events. Looks like Firefox previously (around year of 2020) stopped supporting TLS 1.0, but later re-enable it to support some goverment TLS 1.0 website for COVID reason.

We now have a website(based TLS 1.0). That site is no longer available on Chrome, but it's still available on latest Firefox version by today(Mar 21, 2023). I'd like to know do you have a plan to officially stop supporting TLS 1.0 website again without exception? If so, when will it happen?

I am new to Firefox and I have no idea if I have setup everything correctly to secure my PC? As a Pensioner I am finding this extremely difficult and have no idea where to or how to get to any of the pages in Firefox to check if I have correctly secured my PC? Please would someone be kind to take control of my PC and check for me please? I would be most grateful for you kind assistance herewith.

When Firefox automatically updated to 109.1 tonight, I lost all my saved passwords and bookmarks. The bookmarks aren't in a file under 'Restore' in 'Manage Bookmarks' (but I had saved them so I got most of them back). But I can't get my passwords. What happened?

bold textI forgot my primary password on my PC and I have my account synced with my phone and i still have access to my passwords from my phone. can I reset the primary passsword on the PC then re- sync it with my phone to restore all the login information? or would it also get deleted from my phone?

How can I fix this? No idea what it is talking about and can load on Safari fine. I could load www.jimmchughphotographs.com fine on Firefox a little while ago. Hello, I have 5 email addresses - four I use regularly: TalkTalk1 (Default) and 2, Free-online and Googlemail (haven't upgraded to gmail), and one I haven't for ages (YahooMail). I cannot send emails from any, except from my TalkTalk(TT) default one. I have updated the TalkTalk new Outgoing server settings to the best of my ability, for TalkTalk2 (TT2), Free-online (FOL) and Googlemail (GM) - I can send screenshots for each if necessary: - Server names: all smtp.domain name.net, except FOL: relay.free-online.net (verified on several google searches) - Outgoing port: all changed to 587 - Connection security: all STARTTTLS - Authentication method: all 'Normal password' (I am assuming these would be the same as the ones in the saved login passwords section of Privacy & Security, except for GM which has Incoming server authentication OAuth2 but a normal password in the saved login Passwords) - User name: my email addresses, except for FOL: my name Details: Email providers: TalkTalk, Free-online (Plusnet), Googlemail ISP: Talktalk.net Operating system: MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 Thunderbird version: 102.8.0 Many thanks for your help, it is now the 8th day I spend on this (I am a senior not very techy person).
