Hi, I'm having issues with my Google search results page. It used to be very clean looking and mainly only showing the results of whatever I searched. Today though, I searched something and now the Google results are first showing Reddit answers, what others have asked, discussions and forums, what others have searched, short videos, etc. I have to scroll really far down just to get some normal search results. How can I fix this? Call me old school but I want the classic version back. Please help, I don't want to switch browsers. I've been using Firefox nearly since it's launch, since StumbleUpon days. I know i have asked this already but i did not receive an answer of a solution and id really like someone to help me with this. It is a duplicate question but again no answer and id really like one . i want to remove it please do not tell me toget a new profile and lose everything i have. there has to be another way

I have set up my own domain guytec.org using Namecheap. The alias for email is tguy. I have pointed this new email to my gmail address. I can receive emails into my thunderbird Gmail box from tguy@guytec.org. I want to write emails with sent from tguy@guytec.org showing? How??

I am migrating to a new phone. WhatsApp offered firefox as an option for storing its passkey. That took me to the connection and synchronisation process which the new phone said had failed. However all my tabs and other passwords appear to be syncing. Now selecting firefox to store the WhatsApp passkey takes me back to the failure page every time. Any idea how to restart the passkey addition to firefox process? WhatsApp won't work whilst I'm hung up in limbo between the two apps.

Hello. I have an iCloud e-mail address registered in my Thunderbird mail manager and it was working fine since I initiated it with Thunderbird about 3 months ago. In setting it up, I had to log-in to my AppleID and ask for an "App-specific-password", which I did back when I set it up. Strangely, 2 days ago when I opened Thunderbird, I immediately received a small pop-up window asking that I sign-in to the imap server with the password. After trying to close this out several times, I decided to enter the app-specific-password that was provided back when I set it up. This did nothing and I continued to get the pop-up messages which inhibited me from accessing whatever iCloud e-mails I had received up to that point. I am able to cancel out the window message and if I immediately open one of my 4 other e-mail addresses also within Thunderbird, I can use them and with no issues receiving or sending. So last night, I signed into my AppleID again and asked for another app-specific-password and entered the new one into the pop-up message window related to the iCloud e-mail address on Thunderbird. This then held and I was able to receive whatever was scheduled to come in. But this morning, it is back asking for a password again and the one I received last night doesn't seem to work. Am I now going to need to obtain an app-specific-password for only the iCloud e-mail account everytime I want to access that address? And I have tried using the check-off box in the pop-up message window that provides for saving the password. It makes no difference. This is very frustrating, and I am now thinking that using this open-source manager requires advanced operational skills and time-consuming adjustments and baby-sitting of the software, which I do not have the patience for. Any guidance would be helpful and most appreciated. I moved over to this to get away from Outlook and the ever-changing updates which always seem to be driving at getting by your privacy to access web preferences and communication resources. It seems everytime Windows updates, I need to visit every privacy control and insure they are set where I want them. Thanks for any help!

Concurrent with the most recent automatic windows update (may or may not be the problem), Firefox with duck-duck-go will not go to almost any site. All I get is a spinning icon or a blank page, not even any error messages. This was even true trying to go to this page until I restarted in trouble shooting mode. Until I can get Firefox working again I have been using Chrome with duck-duck-go. Note any search, i.e. 'hotels in Italy' or even 'MSN' do the same: spinning icon or blank page!! Any help would be appreciated. Also I noticed that my bookmarks were missing and there was no bookmarks drop-down on my tools line. I have run malware bytes and it showed clean, same with CCleaner. I have re-installed Firefox; no difference. Please help. and also, any way to find and replace my extensive bookmarks list? I have reduced my privacy to near zero and turned off firewalls and all limits I could find while testing for that. That did not change anything.

when I select "get messages" from thunderbird, the system opens the email and reads and notes many messages then sends a message to me saying what it had done, one line per message. Then it does nothing. There is no listing lof messages sent. There is nothing.

How do I turn off those annoying "update available" notifications/reminders that keep popping up? I've gone into Settings, and in the Updates section firefox only let's me select auto updates or check for updates. I searched online but couldn't seem to find anything about how to disable the notifications all together with the newer version of FF. It's driving me crazy, thinking of switching browsers because of this. Thanks in advance!

Hi, Left post outlining TBird 115.x issues but I am the issue for the 'search' woes. The upper section simply needed to be shrunk - became a 2-headed arrow [when I figured it out.] Wonder whether other problems are also blatantly simply.

I have been using TB for years. I just discovered this morning on my W11 system, that in my message filters labeled "head hunters" that individual domain names are being deleted. This is on top of having to run rules manually to get them to take effect.

Let me be clear: I capture email address and strip them to domain name, add them to the list called "headhunters" and have that set up for ending with. This way I don't have to have one for each person from that entity that contacts me. So I had at the end of last week, something like 20 entries. Today, I have maybe 10.

I have been going through many reports and I am seeing similar complaints about rule elements going away, and I even got the impression one person was having Rule sets get deleted (Rule set would be a Name, which then has individual rows to act on).

I have folders that have been defined to have removal of all email older than, say, 30 days. I have my inbox rule that gets rid of all emails over 400 days old.

Can this set of processes somehow be in conflict so that Thunderbird is deleting elements in rule sets?

when I try to start Thunderbird, I get a window that says "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous upgrade Thunderbird. Do you want to reboot now?. I've rebooted several times now, scanned with PC Matic, rebooted again, tried to uninstall in Control Panel, and get the same window. How do I fix this?

Hello, I did look for related posts but found nothing close enough to this so I thought I would create a post. I don't ever recall having this issue before v102 was introduced but now it happens once in a while but not always.

If I am in the inbox of my main mail account and choose to delete a message, it goes away and then reappears almost immediately. There is a box that shows up at the bottom right of the screen that says: The current operation on inbox did not succeed. The mail server for account (my main mail account is shown) responded: UID MOVE failed. This account is in Canada on the Bell Canada network so perhaps it is an ISP issue?

I have 3 mail accounts set up - all IMAP. If I close TB and reopen it, the message is gone as if it required the program to close in order to complete the delete request.

If anyone has experienced this and has any suggestions or tips, it will be greatly appreciated. - Thanks, Mike

Windows 10. Thunderbird 115.8.0 While trying to figure out why my taskbar badge says I have 99+ unread emails (for the record, I only have 7), I hovered over the tray icon, and it says I have over 4 billion (with a B!) unread emails. That's not even possible with the email address I'm using it for. Why would this be like this, and how do I get it to be accurate?

79 files taking 590MB created in 3 minutes, out of nowhere. Why were all these large files created?

Why is Firefox autofilling the address bar with URLS I've never visited? There is a question on this from 5 years ago, with lots of suggestions. My problem is that Firefox is autofilling with sites that contain confidential login information.

With Windows11 and Thunderbird 115.10.1, I am suddenly unable to send emails. It has been fine up until a few days ago and as far as I am aware, nothing has been changed.

I send .doc and .pdf files to my customers. When creating the outgoing email message and attach a file, I used to be able to see the file in the preview pane. I can no longer see the preview. Please help. This feature does work for jpg, tiff, and other image files.

In Firefox the date format is set at „month, day, year“, but I need „day, month, year“.

I tried all the solutions, I even installed Firefox - English (British) version, but nothing changes.

Can you also implement an alternative, to be able to choose between the 2 options?

I've gone into "sort-by" and tried enabling threading. I've tried checking the unthreaded box. Group job related email still just disappears. I can't find received group email in the trash or in the junk. I can't find any evidence in Thunderbird that the group email was received. If I go to a different email tool, there it is. Thunderbird is broken. If I scroll back in time and accidentally scroll past the date of the first group email, there it is. I can't be spending all day scrolling through months to years worth of email just to find out I got a group email from someone today. This is totally unreliable way to find an urgent work email.

My primary/default browser is Firefox on Sonoma 14.4.1, and recently I'm unable to use the inputs of my audio interface for google hangouts. The relevant output is correct, and my system audio would be the same.
