4 of my many T.Bird email folders somehow lost their email contents (about 50 emails). I have an older T.Bird email backup and want to only reload the 4 empty folders using the backup. I want to keep any emails that may be in my other current folders but not in the backups. I am not sure how to do this.

If I copy the same named T. Bird email root directory [b0mdofvn.default] back up folders into the current email root directory, I see the replaced emails very briefly and then they self delete, leaving the folders empty.

How do I fix this?

When I am deleting emails, I frequently end up with the same email as most recent in my inbox and thus automatically selected. This opens a new tab with the same email as content and soon my tab section is filled up with multiple versions of the same few emails and the inbox tab pushed off the screen.

Can there not be a setting to open up the existing tab if it has the same content. Or alternatively a way to pin the folder tab (normally inbox) on the left of the tabs permanently.

Other tabbed applications do not open up multiple tabs with the same content.

Yes I could shut the unwanted, repeated tab each time Thunderbird opens it, but I don't want to have to.

This seems like an easy feature? Please??

I have installed TBSync for my addresses/contacts. Syncing works correctly between Thunderbird and iCloud (both ways). However, new entries created in Thunderbird (although correctly syncing with iCloud on the net) do not appear in the Mac Contacts app on the Mac desktop. Strangely, these entries appear on my iPad Contacts app. It is only entries created in Thunderbird that do not sync through to the desktop Contacts app. Yet I can create a new entry in my desktop app and it syncs through to Thunderbird correctly. I can also edit any entry on Thunderbird created on an Apple device and the changes go through to all my devices. It seems that the format used when creating a new entry in Thunderbird is creating a problem in the syncing process between my iCloud account and the desktop app. Any ideas?

When I open outlook and get the notifacation that appears below the search bar, a black bar immediately appears when I open a new tab or when I close the notifacation, I have disabled all extensions and hardware acceleration but the problem still persists, what can I do?

Since the 2 APR 2024 FF update, Washington Post articles are not displaying fully. When opened, the article flashes the full version, then only displays the top photo and the first two paragraphs. When opened in EDGE, all articles open fully as expected. This issue is only occurring in FF.

Actions taken: Cleared cache, same result.

Please advise.

I cannot receive certain emails sent by interactive brokers which is trying to verify my profile and information on file. They told me to contact my email provider.

Sometimes, while deleting highlighted messages, Thunderbird will also delete a message next to the selected one, which I didn't want to delete, so have to "undo" to recover. This just started after the last update I think.

What WordPress email setting we should use to to send WordPress transactional emails via Gmail account which has Thunderbird-Gmail App enabled. For example, using FluentSMPT WordPress Plugin?

Just installed thunderbird on a new to me computer When I enter my shawmail account it does the auto install and sets up but can t access imap server. My wife s shawmail works as does my ymail and gmail. called shaw but since it works when I log in through webmail, they can't help and suggested I try this site, I've deleted it and put it back and all the numbers are correct, Any ideas? thanks

Twice in the past 2-3 weeks I have had to restart the computer, Linux Mint 21.2 Firefox 124(when updated in the past couple of days), due to the mouse freezing up and not being able to move the mouse on the screen. That's not the current problem, but it might help direct things to the final solution.

After the most recent reboot last night now I'm having a rather problem. The up/down arrow keys are no longer scroll me up and down a webpage like they always have in the past. Instead of doing smooth scrolling like they always use to, now they are scrolling me up and down the links on a web page. For example, if I were to be on youtube it would first want to scroll me down the left side links before taking me through each and every video link, when the page goes to load in more videos than it wants to go back and scroll me down the left side links again. It acts like it is taking me through the html code, line by line, instead of scrolling me smoothly down the webpage. The only way I can scroll smoothly down the webpage is to use the mouse on the scrollbar on the right side. It does this both in normal mode and in Troubleshooting Mode.

I have checked and beret scrolling is false as well as beret_shortcut. Use autoscrolling, use smooth scrolling, show scrollbars and always underline links are all clicked on. Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages is unclicked. I have tried different changes between clicking on and unclicking those options with no change being noticed.

How can I get this back to the way it used to run?

I have 3 laptops all running windows 10 or 11. These all share a docking station giving access to an extended display, keyboard etc. All laptops run fine with the docking station except for one issue with the newest laptop... The screen resolution, only on firefox on the one laptop, (everything else is fine) is completly out of whack. I have tried the zoom function but no luck. I have trawled the internet but all the solutions are from 10+ years ago and refer to different versions of firefox and windows. I am not a computer geek so please dumb down any advice.

The page https://www.stardock.com/products/groupy/update opens during the loading of the OS background processes. I have looked up on the windows task manager, the about:config and haven't found anything related to this process.

For one site I go to there is an internal menu where I should be able to scroll down. In Firefox, there is no option on the right side for me to scroll down...but in Chrome I have no problem. The owner of the website said it should work in Firefox but it's not. I have attached images from the 2 browsers. I have attached 2 screenshots. For Chrome you can see to the right of the numbers under the Acct # column that I can scroll down. But in Firefox I don't have that option to scroll down to see entries at the bottom of the list.

Help! How can I fix this so I can scroll down in Firefox for this sub-menu item?

Find our why Google chrome and thunderbird will not respond. This had never happened before. Don't bother emailing me, EMAIL DOES NOT WORK. (Thunderbird and Chrome will not respond. All I get is error message when I enter my password for Chrome.)

I applied a now-archived solution previously submitted. It made the folder label disappear from the list. I went into subscribe again and the now missing folder label is there. I had checked subscribe, but it still is not visible when I open TB again.

What is happening to have this assortment of my extensive sub-folder list of messages to become unavailable to me? Can I access what I have pout into these folders through web-mail? I have not seen how to do that.

As you can see in the attached files, the "Daytimer' sub-folder is visible and checked in the Subscribe list, but it is gone in the Folders list. It was in the Folders list before I tries to fix it!

I use TB 115.9.0 (64-bit) on a Windows 10 machine.

I used the "A" key on a message in my yahoo account and it did not go to any of the Yahoo archive folders. Can't find it in the trash either. Any ideas about where this message might have ended up? Thanks
