I'm a thunderbird user. I've been getting large blocks of 40 or 50 old (4-5 months old) emails in the middle of the current emails. I delete them, but they're still in their original location.

I am using firefox 126.0 on linux mint 21.2 with an policy file in the directory "/usr/lib/firefox/distribution/policies.json". This is just working fine with one little problem. When opening firefox the first time, it does not apply the policy to set the startpage to the url in the policy file. All other policies seem to be applied correctly. I figured out, that at the first start of firefox, no user profile (folder) "~/.mozilla/" exists. When i click the little "house" button on the the top besides the refresh buton, the correct startpage is shown. After the first start this folder is created and then the policies work fine even the startpage shows up directly. Can I somehow use a template profiles-folder for new users, so they have the correct firefox feeling at the first start or is there something missing in my policy file ? The policy file has rights set to "644 root:root" Image of the policy file is attached because I can't upload files other then images.

How do I delete all traces of FireFox. I did the "remove program" but when I reinstall it is remembering that I once had Firefox installed so that tells me it has NOT fully removed all traces of Firefox. So please tell me how to remove everything. I keep getting errors that I don't get when I use other browsers, so there is some sort of issue with Firefox so I absolutely need to remove EVERYTHING. There must be some hidden files that the uninstall program is NOT finding. I need all profiles, files, bookmarks etc GONE!!!!! so I can do a new install. PS The REFRESH did not fix my issues so please don't offer that as a potential solution.

After loading the pop-up blocker extension I cannot access many links inmy email. Suggestions?

Tried uninstalling, selected to not include previous settings and reinstalled. Still having a problem.

Possible conflict with my firewall? How do I uninstall pop-up blocker?

Video is stuttering with latest update. This just started today, Ma7 17, 2024. I went to a different browser to confirm that it is firefox. This confirmed the issue. I checked the settings and I have selected everything as indicated in the help files. I tried turning off enhanced tracking function and I selected allow video and audio auto play. It still happens

Firefox updated last night while my headphones were plugged in. Now I cannot get website audio through the headphones in Firefox. None of the solutions from help forums have worked. Audio settings seem fine and headphones work on other browsers.

Running Firefox 126.0, which Firefox' About link says is current. Dell laptop running (current) Win10 Pro.

As recently as last Wednesday (15 May 24), everything was normal. Since yesterday (16 May), on the Wall Street Journal site, after I have logged in, I no longer have access to articles' comment threads. The Show Conversation button shows 0 comments (which is erroneous), and when I click the button, it changes to Hide Conversation (which is normal), but nothing else happens--just white space and no comments or comment text entry field.

On Fox News, the comment thread doesn't display, and there's not even displayed a link to a comment thread. Until yesterday, the thread normally displayed, but required login to comment. Since yesterday, logging in changes nothing: the comment thread still doesn't display at all.

On X (nee Twitter), when I click the login icon, I get the usual login box--but it's solid black with only a rotating arrow signifying "loading." It never finishes loading. An added fillip: X, as recently as last Wednesday, displayed in its usual black text on a white background. Now it displays as white text on a black background. I can click on X links sent to me and get that particular X post to display, but I cannot log in.

When I go to those sites in Edge, everything behaves normally: I have access to comment threads, and I can log in to X. One exception: X displays as white text on a black background on Edge, also. This doesn't seem to be an X thing, though; on my wife's laptop (Firefox 126.0), running WIn11Pro, her X display is the "normal" black text on white background.

I haven't changed any settings in Firefox. I do have a couple of ad blockers, and I've turned those off, one at a time and both together; that had no effect.

How can I get things back to normal in Firefox?

Recently, a PDF file/form I have used for several years won't accept keyboard inputs within certain boxes/fields. The PDF is an odometer statement from the Michigan Secretary of State. I am able to complete all fields except for the 6 separate odometer boxes. I can move the cursor to each box but when I go to type a number, nothing shows up. I have used Firefox in the past while completing this PDF form without any problems. I have tried filling in the odometer boxes using various versions of Windows (7, 8.1, and 10) and various versions of Firefox (126, 115, and 109), but none of them will allow me to enter the numbers. As a test, I downloaded Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, and both of those browsers allowed me to fill in the odometer boxes. I've included a link to the PDF form. Hi Firefox. I have been using Firefox since the 90's. I love the feature that you can save a url complete with that website name, icon, and colors. My desktop is very colorful. I just did an update on Firefox in the last two days. Lets just call it the last update. After the last update an hour ago I just received a notification that Malwarebytes blocked what the call Malvertising. As I said, I have been using Firefox since the 90's as my default browser and I have never seen this before on any browser. There were an few short periods in the last few months when Firefox would just lock up my pc, and I switched browsers to Chrome. But as soon as you corrected the issue, I switched back to Firefox. I got to admit that this Malvertising notification has disturbed me a little. I have Edge, Chrome, and Opera browsers installed as well but I like you the best. Please explain to my why I got this notification from Malwarebytes. BTY, Malwarebytes found a keylogger in my PC that Eset, and Windows Defender scans did not find. So, I am a fan of Malwarebytes as well. I downloaded the Malwarebytes notification of the Malvertising Notification into .txt format, but the button below this says images. If I can send it, and you want it, just let me know.

This morning my Linux Mint PC notified me via Update Manager that an update to FF version 126 was available. I ran the update and it completed with no problems. I use FF as a Flatpak. When I checked the FF version in FF Help>About FF it still showed version 125.0.3 even after restarting FF and the PC. I checked the Synaptic Package Manager on my PC and it shows that my current FF version is 126. The Software Manager shows the current version is 125.0.3. Why is FF still showing the previous version after I ran the update for 126? I'm concerned that I might have a compromised FF even though I updated it via Linux Mint Update Manager like I always do for any program updates. Thank you, Colin

Hi. I am having problems with pages in some websites not loading - eg games on Facebook, my account page in my bank website, etc. Facebook works fine but games do not load anymore (just get the loading message but the circle just keeps spinning, and I can login to my bank but it won't load any further pages. The games problem first started around February with one or two games, but has subsequently become worse so the ONLY game that will load is Happy Acres! The problem with my bank (and a couple of others) started about a week or so ago. I've been (reluctantly) using Microsoft Edge the past couple of days with no problem other than it's sloooooow!! Was thinking of downloading Chrome but haven't done so yet. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be extremely grateful. Many thanks in advance.

when i fill in a form on a site (example cvs) it will not send and my saved payment information shows when i click into the field but will not stay- i must continually manually fill in my payment information

I use Thunderbird to pick up 4 separate gmail accounts. Every once in a while I can't delete a message or selected messages. I have tried hitting delete, which normally works, deleting within the message and CTRL delete. The odd thing is if I go to another mailbox, delete a message from there, then return to the mailbox that didn't delete, I can suddenly delete messages from the first mailbox. This happens on all the mailboxes. Obviously, I can work around it, but it is annoying. Any suggestions? I previously deleted all the Trash and Trash.msf files and that did not fix the issue. This seems to have started with version 115. I am on a Mac IOS Sonoma 14.4.1
