Never had an issue with my Gmail sidebar calendar loading automatically on Firefox. With the latest Mozilla update to 114.0.2 for my Mac, the calendar sidebar flashes the calendar icon but fails to load. The other sidebar apps are functional. I can load my full calendar in a new tab with issue. Signed into my Gmail account on Chrome and Safari and the sidebar displays as it should.

My Bookmark list disappears regularly and I have to seek ways ro re-install in the left hand margin. Also finding various web sites (Banks etc) no longer work well with Firefox. So with much regret it is goodbye Firefox as soon as I can reocnfigure

Hello, volunteers! Thanks for being here. I'm having trouble migrating bookmarks from one Mac Air to another, and it comes down to Sync not working.

I have two Mac Airs, both 2020. Both are up to date. Let's call them My Mac and Work Mac. Work Mac's syncing starts, then stops immediately.

My problem is more than a week old. The latest version of Clean My Mac offered a new process of clearing out old security history. It's all on me; I didn't really look into it before I clicked the process.

All my login items and passwords disappeared from Firefox. Damn!

I thought it would be a fairly easy fix. "My Mac" and my Android both had the missing info. On the Work Mac, I went into Settings -> Sync, and clicked Sync Now. It very briefly tried to connect - and I mean, less than a second - then Sync Now went solid again. Repeated several times. Syncing just wouldn't start.

I looked at the error logs and in fact Sync hadn't worked for a month or so. I just hadn't noticed.

I tried a few fixes suggested in the forums, but nothing was truly applicable to my specific problem. Finally, frustrated, I removed and reinstalled Firefox on my Work Mac. My logins came back immediately. But the Bookmarks Toolbar is empty, except for the option to "Import Bookmarks". unless I open them from the Firefox -> Manage Bookmarks. There they are - it even says they're in the toolbar. But they're not.

And Sync still doesn't work! Same symptoms: click, attempt to connect, fail.

So my problems are twofold: - How do I get my bookmarks back into the toolbar where they belong? - How do I get syncing to work again?

The error report on each failed effort to sync is over 1000 lines long. I'll add one in a series of posts here.

This computer was set up back in 2015 and I never needed to use a primary password and I logged out of my computer and when I logged back in it was asking me to enter a primary password which I don't remember. I have an external multi channel sound card (MOTU Ultralight Mk3 Hybrid). Gut feel is the hardware/driver is not relevant. I see there are multiple old bugs that have been closed. As such I have been told to open a new issue.

M1, Mac OS 13.4.1 - I am an experienced audio engineer so I know my way around multi channel audio config on Mac.

Audio was working fine from Firefox with a default setup. I had a need to alter some system sound settings for multi channel audio, unrelated to Firefox. When I reverted those settings. Firefox was sending audio to the non default audio channels on my sound card.

Safari, Chrome, Mac OS and Spotify were obeying the reverted config and sending the audio out the main outs. Only Firefox, for some reason was sending audio to channel 3&4. I could tell because I was getting a level on those channels. I have tried the following:

• Rebooted
• "refreshed" Firefox
• Used AppCleaner to completely remove all Firefox and my sound card apps, drivers and preferences
• Cleared cache
• Triple checked all my factory config
• Retested Chrome, Safari etc... all good with audio coming out the main out stereo channel

Firefox still sending audio to 1 & 2 (3 & 4 as the crow flies, and as the system sees them) since 1 & 2 are actually "Main out"

The audio is being routed. I just can't for the life of me figure out why Firefox is selecting the wrong channels. It used to work, and now it's stuck this way.

Hello, I have used Firefox since it's inception and love it! However, with version 114 I have noticed two issues with Facebook. 1.) When trying to open messages in Facebook I get "Couldn't load chats" (see attached screen shot) 2.) When trying to do a "Search Facebook" on any of my friends in Facebook I get "This page isn't available right now" but if I search on some place I haven't been before like a company, new outlet etc etc it brings up their info just fine. These two issues DO NOT happen with using Safari or Chrome. Hope someone can help as I want to keep using Firefox and Facebook. Thank you, Alan

When I try to navigate to multiple Canadian University sites, Firefox reroutes me to my own university's libraries page For example, when I typed ualberta.ca into the address bar it went to https://login.uml.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://ualberta.ca/. This is U of Manitoba's libraries page

This happens whether I go straight through typing into the address bar, clicking a link in a google search, or a link in another website. How do I make it stop defaulting to this page?

Hiya. An age old problem it seems. Re-installing Dejuva-sans solved the problem for years. Not with v114. Turning off "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" solves the problem, yes, but a LOT of webpages look just crummy, even our own. PLUS, I don't want to override what a website "wants" to render because it breaks their design, wrapping lines, etc.

I've googled this extensively, and am a geek, but recent (from 2020) solutions on this board are all geared at Windows users.

Any help appreciated, of course. Bribe (if allowed): first person with a permanent solution (ie thru the next two revs of Firefox is welcome to join us for a fabulous Geek Cruise).

The message I received from you is for Windows. I have a MAC.

See picture below. If I try to open up more than one tab, I get multiple home pages.

Is there an adjustment I can make to stop this?

I quit with your browser and go for your competitors. The reasons are: 1) not easy to find support 2) automatized so called "help" is just time consuming and of no use 3) no way how to set things by myself or very hard to find

I need reliable browser, where I can find solutions quickly, not a stupid browser, who is behaving differently on different computers with no reliable support.

Also I hate demands to fill in headings etc. Time consuming bullshit.

we are using Mozilla firefox for our desktop/browser application, we have couple functionalities opening from and . When we trying to access those functionalities, we are getting CORS issue and unable to get the page. Same functionalities working for other browsers as chrome, edge, etc. could you please help us for the same. thanks in advance. Thanks & Regards

This morning on this Mac Monterey I had so much trouble accessing the Etsy site that I had to get on my newer Windows 10. In this browser, I opened a tab and a popup occurred that advised me to download an addon for safe browsing. After backing out I tried again to get to Etsy when more popups occurred, with audio, freezing the system to where I had to use the power button. A woman's voice said that I was going to a malicious site, and in the lower right corner gave the Apple telephone number. Underneath the popups the Apple site shown, which may have been counterfeit. I emailed Etsy from my Windows 10 about this. Is there any validity to this; or is somebody making a strong sales pitch to get me to download something under the guise of security? Under Windows 10 I used Firefox and the problem did not occur.

Can anyone explain why that would be? Everything else seems to be working fine, and I can access the site with Safari with no issues. Not looking for feedback on the candidate or to provoke a political discussion, first time I've encountered an issue like this.

First, after the newest version of the desktop browser auto loaded, the colors theme I had been using was gone. It is saved, but I can't seem to get it established as the default theme.

More important—and I'm furious about this—I kept getting message about hidden tabs. It was quite annoying. I clicked on "delete extension" because I wanted to stop getting these messages. Instead, it deactivated my Speed Dial extension, and I can't figure out how to reactivate it. This extension is essential to just about everything I do on the web. It would take me days to reconstruct, and even then I doubt I could complete recreate it.

Please tell me how I can reactivate the Speed Dial extension. It is still listed among my extension, but it is listed as deactivated.

Hey there. I've fiddled around a little with free VPNs from the Firefox add ons (namely Urban Free VPN proxy Unblocker and ZenMate Free VPN). Now I've removed the extensions and I wonder if it's enough to entirely get rid of them? I want to avoid to get tracked by some VPN provider although I've removed them. Are they somehow sandboxed or something? Sorry if the question is redundant, I've tried to search for the correct terms and couldn't find an answer.

I experienced unreadable / garbled / distorted text rendering on some websites on macOS 13.4.1 (22F82).

Tested on following browsers:

• Firefox 114.0.2 (64-bit)
• Firefox Developer Edition 115.0b9 (64-bit)
• Firefox Nightly 116.0a1 (2023-06-30) (64-bit)

See attached screenshot when I visited reStructuredText Quick Reference documentation[1] using a Private Window from a new Firefox Profile.

How can I further investigate or fix this issue?

Hi,

I clear my history every time I close my browser. And I periodically clear my history during my sessions.

When I open a new Window or Tab and begin to type an address, Firefox prompts me with websites I have previously visited that begin with the same letters. Firefox should NOT know my previous websites, if it has cleared my history.

In the attached image I typed in the letter "m" and Firefox prompted me with a recent pages I visited page and a list of other pages I have visited, at least one of them from a week or 2 ago.

Obviously, Firefox is not Clearing the History. It maybe clearing some of the history, but not ALL of the history.

Love the Browser. This should be fixed.
