Suddenly on my PC the icon of Firefox turned white on both desktop and taskbar. And whenever I try to open Firefox, it says, "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." And I didn't make any changes myself. So far it was fine. Now what can/should I do?

Title. Thunderbird is a really cool client but it's pretty slow. I blame that on the thousands upon thousands of emails that my hotmail and gmail each hold. I don't necessarily want to delete these emails, but I have seldom a reason to have any email older than 2 months in my thunderbird client slowing and crashing the program whenever I want to combine inboxes.

To this end I went to "Synchronization & Storage" and told it to "Synchronize the most recent 2 months" but it didn't delete the huge cluster of older emails. The next option is to tell TB to delete these emails in the same menu but as I understand it that would also delete them in the server, which I don't want to do for posteriority.

What do I do?

This is the message I get when trying to send emails: "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: pgbentley101@gmail.com recipient rejected. Please check the message recipient "pgbentley101@gmail.com" and try again."

Ever since the last update, my keyboard isn't appearing in Firefox Focus when I tap the url bar. Normally it would appear to type in a new url, but not anymore. When I tap the bar, it automatically selects the complete url but then I have to tap again in order to show the keyboard. See the attached screenshot; I have tapped the url bar here but no keyboard has appeared.

I am using the regular keyboard on Android, Gboard. I'm on Android 13. Using a Fairphone 4.

Everything is updated to the latest available.

Cannot send or reply to emails. Can receive them fine. Alert message says "An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded >jlheiman@charter.net< sender rejected. Check account address settings and try again." Account settings are correct. What do I do?

Recently I have had multiple occurrences of Firefox "freezing" and I have to shutdown the browser which then reports the fault to Microsoft. It seems to happen when I click on the button to Maximise the browser window. I'm running Windows 11. It generally does restore the browser tabs successfully but is nevertheless irritating and a recent phenomenom.

How can I stop Firefox refreshing each time I have to leave to approve a purchase or get Info for a form please. It's so frustrating. I literally tap back on the window and it updates. No one seems to know why.

I have problem in Mozilla Firefox 118 and 119 about company web app. There are several input[text] and textarea that can't type in them. But in other browsers are fine and Mozilla Firefox ver. 117 is fine too.

Btw, this app using AngularJS.

Any idea what happen and are there any solutions for this problem ?

I use Thunderbird for 4 Google email accounts and 1 Sasktel email account. All 5 accounts are IMAP. Sometime within the last few days, hundreds of sent emails have gone missing from one of the Google email accounts, and the single Sasktel email account.

I haven't made any changes.

My disk cleaner is set to leave Thunderbird alone.

Thunderbird updates automatically. Could the most recent update have somehow deleted my emails?

Is there any way to get those sent emails back on my laptop? I see that they still exist on the Sasktel and Gmail servers (if that's the right terminology)?

I keep getting the following error message when opening my Thunderbird e-mail desktop application: Sending of username did not succeed. Mailserver pop3.mail.dk replied: invalid command

What could the problem be and what is the solution?

I'm using Thunderbird with my hotmail account and have never had a problem before yesterday. Now I get this error message. "Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write priviledges." Can anyone advise on this? Temporary email is accounts@gardendesignernorthdevon.co.uk

New installation of Thunderbird on WIndows11 - cannot send mail - get the follwoing error message: "outgoing server smptgo.lanlime.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing connections. Please verify that your outgoing server SMTP setttings are correct." WHERE DO I LOOK TO FIND THESE SETTINGS///

Dear Mozilla

Long time user (love it) but the browser is consuming a lot of memory. With the same windows open in Chrome, Firefox is consuming 5 times the amount making the system slower glitchy.

This has been an issue for awhile and I checked all the posted solutions. Either the software is consuming an that is normal or something is running in the background. Firefox is at 1831.5 MB as I type this.

Can I uninstall then reinstall? or is everything going to return?

Recently Youtube refuses to play any videos for me, saying adblockers are against their rules. I have uninstalled Adblock, and reset firefox totally. Youtube is still blocking me. It works fine on Chrome. Do I have to switch to Chrome permanently?

While on michaels.com I click on a product, it goes to the product then immediately the screen goes blank. It also happens when I do a search, multiple products show up, then the screen goes blank. I don't have that issues on other websites. What is going on and how do I solve this issue?

I have used Thunderbird for years and I use it for work. For the last two days, it has started to go slow, and it will freeze and I have to close out of it. This JUST started, and this morning it is almost not functional.

I have looked everywhere I could find to see what I can do and I cannot find anything. I even tried re-installing it.

What can I do?

Recent update switched all folder to show messages grouped into threads. This makes it harder to find new messages. As a result I did not see an email inviting me to a job interview for 2 months. Far too late to act on it.

Updates should NOT change any configuration settings. This is NOT acceptable.

Also, I have a lot of folders. There seems to be no way to set them all to unthreaded all at once. So now, I have to go through them one by one changing them back to the way it was.

I needed that job desperately and now I'm screwed. If I don't find a job in the next couple of weeks, I could be homeless.

The irony is that I have over 35 years of experience writing software but I can't find a job because of age discrimination.

Thanks for ending my life.
