If Firefox is open and running, then the firefox icon is an orange fox. I Firefox is closed and not running, then firefox icon is a square white paper (generic icon). This problem did not exist in all previous editions of firefox, only in firefox 100. Help.

I am currently using facebook on firefox on my apple computer (mac os catalina 10.15.7) . It says firefox is up to date. For some reason facebook doesn't open and only a white page shows. I restarted firefox in safe mode and it still does not work. I cleared all history and cleared cookies. I restarted my computer. I am not a computer genius but is there anything else I can do to clear this issue?

On Windows 7, vr 98 was starting in a second. Now vr 99 start in 9 second. On Windows 10, vr 99 start in a second. Will it be fix soon or how can I reinstall vr 98 AND keep my profile?

just updated to version 100, and now my work is stalled because I can't play online training videos (that it's my job to create, so need to publish and preview them online). The audio plays, but the video does not. Interestingly, when I navigate away from the tab, the visual still refreshes to the progress point in the video, but still does not PLAY the video.

Is there a way to downgrade to the previous Firefox version?

A specific set of 57 emails from the time period 3/1 to 3/2 keeps coming back into my Inbox after deleting them or moving them to another folder. Any suggestions as to how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Hello, yesterday my Firefox started exhibiting very weird problems. Websites often fail to load and I get a We're having trouble finding that site, which I pass by refreshing the page, sometimes it takes one refresh, sometimes even 5-6. The tabs also crash randomly (this started happening today). Other web browsers do not exhibit that problem. I tried: - clearing cookies and site data - refreshing Firefox - re-enabling Firefox in the Firewall - completely reinstalling Firefox - restarting my router - the problem also happens in Troubleshoot mode

Ive sunk a lot of hours into trying to fix this problem, but it always comes back. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

This happens with all browsers. I need a software but it needs to find firefox.exe I have tried changing the name of the firefox exe but then the software wont work. It flashes white and it shuts down.

I don't know what has changed, but Thunderbird deleted older e-mails from both my and my daughter's Inboxes! The messages had not been starred, but they were important and thus saved in special folders (such as TRAVEL CONFIRMATIONS and COLLEGE INFO). Their disappearance has been highly problematic, distressing, frustrating!

Does anyone know WHY this happened and how to FIX/PREVENT it?

We Tried the following fix, but we don't know if this is correct: > [Clicked] Triple Bar > Account Settings > Synchronization & Storage > Disk Space > [Checked] Don't Delete Any Messages > [Checked] Don't Delete Starred Messages.

Incidentally, we saw the the box "Delete Messages Older than 45 days" was Checked, but neither of us had done that! Is this a Default? If so, IT MUST GO! (I had foreign travel confirmations that were ONLY in Inbox and couldn't be confirmed any other way.)

No error message to report. When I search in folders, I can preview the contents of a given message. This is working fine every place except one of my Trash folders. I have three main folders, each of which has a Trash folder within it. Periodically I move all messages from two of those folders to my main Trash folder.

Previewing messages works in all of my folders, including all of the Trash folders EXCEPT for the most important Trash folder. There, every message is displaying alright UNTIL I enter something in the Quick Filter. As soon as I do that, all messages in the folder display blank contents.

Once that happens, even clearing the Quick Filter doesn't return message contents.

My google drive keeps disconnecting, and google drive/google docs links are not working. I have attached a screenshot of the new tab page when I copy paste a google sheets document URL into the search bar and hit enter. After the reloading icon animates, I stay on the new tab page and the url just sits there. The debug console shows 1 GET request that is timed out (picture also attached).

I can fix the issue by completely closing all firefox windows and opening again, but it will disconnect me after some minutes.

Firefox has seemed unstable for a few months now, but in the past weeks even more so. It crashes often, and has usually crashed when I come back to my desktop after a few hours or the weekend. Today it has crashed on me at least 10 times. It does not seem to relate to a particular website or activity. It is becoming so difficult to work with that I am going to have to go to Chrome or something else if it's not fixed. Firefox pretty regularly does updates (often after it has crashed), so it is not that I've got an old version or something.

Firefox 100.x - new download - while loading says it's already open when it's not. Meaning that I force quit the app out of the running apps, and cleared all background processes named firefox ... or mozilla ....

I deleted the app and reinstalled but no better.

The app just don't load up.

Stick with Brave? What do you advise?

When I try to upload a file to a website it cancels after about 8-10% completed. I was able to upload the same file to the same website in Microsoft Edge without any issues. I checked my Firefox update history and I see that it updated to 100.00 yesterday 5/3/22.

scrolling via up/down keys do not work on half the webpages i vist. other browsers scroll just fine, but not firefox. i want to continue using firefox, but like many others i know, i will stop using firefox is this issue cannot be resolved.

My Firefox has suddenly stopped working when websites have menus you need to scroll through on the right side. Example: websites where you are drilling down through filter options, or in Ancestry where you will typically open a record in the hints screen and scroll down through the detail. The right scroll navigation causes the whole page to scroll up and down; there's no way to navigate down in the sub-display. I have run FF in safe mode, and done a scorched-earth uninstall/reinstall and the problem persists even with no plug-ins restored. This is on a machine running Windows 11. The machine crashed right before this became a problem. Sites work in Edge without issue.

Gents, I've been using Thunderbird since years without main problems; today I removed from "saved password" one of my accounts; thereafter TB crashed and now is repeatedly crashing immediately after startup; I tried in safe mode but with identical result. Someone could help in restoring?
