I've noticed with the latest update of Mozilla,I can't keep the history tab open for more than just a few moments,if I do,Firefox slows down alot,and I have to close history to get it back to normal. This has never happened before with any Firefox update. Is this something that will be fixed in the next update,or is it something else?

My desktop is interrupted by Foxfire pop ups from an on line employment service. I want to uninstall their messages/ads, but can't even find the Foxfire menu page. I am not computer literate and am unable to follow instructions that don't seem to work! Please do not write in tech talk!

Hello So to make long story short, since last 3 updates to Firefox i cant log in to my online bak account ,and yeah i can log to it on Chrome, windows shit show browser... so well .. can You fix it ? Or shall i just switch browser ? As everything have been working fine before, and i have been happy using You www browser till now...acctualy till i install Firefox update :P

Please save me advices like : - did you try reset you PC ? - did you delete you cookies ? - did you reinstall you windows 7/10/11 - did you clean you keyboard - what's it's you PC hardware condition ? - did You take shower today ? - did you check what's You gender ? - did you reinstall Firefox ?

When I try to watch a movie (on website flixhq.to) it gives me error code 232011 and then i change the server my subtitles don't work. I tried different websites but the same thing happens. I've done all the troubleshoot methods possible. I only have this problem on my laptop, when i use this website on my phone it works properly. I've never had a problem with this website before ,this all started beginning of this month. Someone please help me fix this!

Whenever I open Thunderbird, my Mac asks for the password, but when I input it, the app opens and then asks immediately for my password again. However, this time, the app just spins and then immediately crashes. My crash ID is as follows:

I recently uninstalled Mcafee for not completing an install which made my computer not be able to restart. How can I regain access to Thunderbird? Thanks!

Dear Community,

I try to open "weverse.io" but it doesn´t work... I can open weverse.io/account, m.weverse.io/bts/artistpedia and weverseshop.io/ but not the official website. And I don´t know what else to do. I´ve uninstalled Firefox and downloaded it again, i´ve deleted cookies, cache, DNS cache and other delateable things, checked my security system and deactivated ghostery... I´ve got the same problem with edge and chrome. The browser from Avira works... I don´t understand why it doesn´t work with firefox anymore. Edge tells me "Hmmm...this website is not available right now. The connection appears to have been disconnected from weverse.io." Maybe that´s helpfull... Does anybody have an idea what I can do?

Thunderbird has been my mailer for more than 15 years. The latest incarnation Supernova is awfully buggy. I installed version 102.3.3 in early October and since then had lots of grief. Updating to 115.3.2 on Oct 13 and to 115.3.3 today did nothing to improve things. The program suffers lots of freezes and is just not functioning well. I tried to file this report from within T-bird following Settings -> General -> Release notes (under Updates) -> file a bug in Bugzilla and ended up with an empty, unresponsive page (see attached). There appears to be something very fundamental that needs to be fixed.

Since the Supernova update I notice that Thunderbird isn't responsive to UI interactions while it is fetching emails from accounts, this was not at all the case with the previous versions. Is the code using the same thread for UI and fetching? This new behavior isn't great user experience.

When attempting to send emails from several of my email addresses via Thunderbird a warning message displays: “You are about to override how Thunderbird identifies this site. Legitimate banks, stores, and other public sites will not ask you to do this. Location: smtp.astound.net:587 Get Certificate [a Button] This site attempts to identify itself with invalid information. View [a ButtonAdd] Wrong Site The certificate belongs to a different site, which could mean that someone is trying to impersonate this site. [checkbox] Permanently store this exception. Confirm Security Exception [Button] Cancel [Button]”

Behind that message another error message displays: “Sending of the message failed. Unable to communicate securely with peer: requested domain name does not match the server’s certificate. The configuration related to smtp.astound.net must be corrected.”

My main email xxx@astound.net works fine. However several other email addresses xxx1@astound.net, xxx2@astound.net trigger those messages when attempting to send from those addresses. I can send OK from web mail, but that error occurs when attempting to send via Thunderbird. When I set up all of those email addresses earlier this year they all sent fine from Thunderbird. As recently as September 5th, 2023 I have successfully sent from those email addresses. It looks like a new version of Thunderbird was deployed a week or two ago based on seeing some differences in the interface and other behavior. I have been using eset antivirus for years. I recently loaded Malwarebytes on this system. From certificate which displays when clicking on view: Subject name is mail.astound.net Issuer is GoDaddy.com, Inc. Validity NOT BEFORE MON, 21 AUG 2023 19:01:06 GMT NOT AFTER SUN, 15 SEP 2024 13:31:42 GMT


Questions: 1. Should I accept the security exceptions? (I am reluctant to do so without understanding the reason it is warning me.) 2. Any ideas of what is triggering these messages and stopping me from sending emails from those addresses because an issue relating to the server’s certificate is detected? 3. Why would this be happening for all of my astound email addresses except for the main one that I use? (the one difference I see in the account settings is that the smtp server for the main email which sends fine is mail.astound.net, whereas the smtp server name for the others is smtp.astound.net The port is the same for all, 587.)

Didnt use Thunderbird for 2 weeks. On return from trip last week, tried to open what seems to be a new version of TBird. Tried many times--each time crashed. Tried troubleshooting mode--also crashed each time. Has never opened in the new format.

I have used Firefox since forever, was a Netscape user in the past

But for about 3 months Firefox simply is no good anymore\

It is more and more sites I can not access with Firefox and have to use Edge instead.

Last example, just now

This is just one example, many other sites simply do not open, or open properly, in Firefox

Hi My problem: My hotmail account will no longer send emails. The error message I get is

 From Microsoft: "We can't sign you in Your browser is currently set to block cookies. You need to allow cookies to use this service."    (NB my Firefox browser cookies is set to 'standard' and the settings had not been changed.  Plus I've tried playing with the settings, makes no difference)
  From Thunderbird: "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.office365.com timed out. Try again."

When? Started on 6 or 7 Oct, At this point, both receive and send failed. Last message was just before a Thunderbird update. We were in France, using hotel internet, which Microsoft hates. (so I didn't try to fix it until we got home).

Other info: However my hotmail address still worked well on my laptop's Outlook; internet login, Thunderbird on another laptop (Win 11, and more recent installation of Tb) and on my phone (Android, FairEmail), ie has not been blocked. My usual laptop is Win 10. All other emails within my Thunderbird are working fine. The outgoing SMTP for hotmail is: smtp://smtp.office365.com (smtp://smtp.office365.com) See image attached.

What since: A forced update of Windows (as rec'd by local techy) restored the receive function and speed, which had become sluggish. Hotmail still can't send. I've logged in and out of my microsoft account online, and have changed my MS password (and therefore that of my hotmail account), plus restarted everything lots of times. No difference. I have not got office365 except what came free with windows. I avoid office/MS apps where possible.

PLUS: Discovered that my Tb profile is humungous, 45gb, of which a fair chunk is this last couple of weeks. Most of it is not visible emails. Any advice ? - can I start a new profile and ditch the old?

I turned on pc, this morning. Opened Thunderbird. Checked for Updates; None. Thunderbird checks for new email from Gmail, then Compuserve (thru AOL). Taking about 3mins. Nothing past 7pm, last night. I go to Compuserve e-mail, on-line thru AOL. Messages waiting there from last night (past 7pm) and up to NOW. Had this happen before; within 2 months. If I wait until Tomorrow, the e-mails WILL come thru to my InBox. Of course then I have to go thru ALL that, PLUS today's stuff!! What is going on? I CAN read And reply thru on-line AND my connection thru my Cell phone. It can be good, on my Pc, with Thunderbird for a week or so, then Happens Again!! If I send myself a message from Gmail, it does NOT come to my Thunderbird Compuserve Inbox, but it Does show when I go On-line or to my Android Cell. I looked at my Thunderbird settings for anything that could be Filtering my e-mail, after 7pm (on Some days). Didn't see anything. I could just NOT Know Where that Particular Setting IS.... I CLOSE Thunderbird, then re-Open, and Do NOT get those NEW messages. Until a few months ago (after a 32 to 64bit update??), I don't think I had this problem (??). Even tried checking my Compuserve settings. NOTHING there, that I see that "looks" like it would cause this. When I click on Get Messages, even going to Specifically my Compuserve messages, on Thunderbird, a shaded line, on bottom right, keeps showing Something is going on, for a few minutes.

What Do I DO???

I have contacted Traveler's Insurance Tech Help and they said the problem of looping back on the signin page happened with the latest update from FireFox.

They informed me that they have been trying to find the problem BUT it would seem that they would contact FireFox RATHER than suggesting that EDGE, GOOGLE or other browsers be used.

I can signin on EDGE, however I prefer to FireFox...

Here's hoping you can find the solution....

The video itself plays fine. i tried it using other browsers and it works fine, it only happens while using firefox. i tried turning off all extensions and running in troubleshoot mode but neither of these helped.
