Why is firefox automatically downloading strange files I've never seen before? (MEUIVFJ-.htm and 3tHMwYhc) They look a little untrustworthy. My download dropdown suddenly showed me that one had been downloaded, and then a while later the other one was downloaded. Are these actual Mozilla files? Or are they some kind of scam/trojan/spyware? I just realized that two were downloaded last month as well.

My firefox is downloading all the adobe files even though i have turned of the auto download option. Also whenever any pdf file i try, it gives me an option of open with or save file. I am trying open with & firefox still downloads that file to my system. Can anyone help

I am trying to transfer my bookmarks, open tabs and passwords etc. from my old laptop to my new one. It appears I have to do this with Firefox Sync under the preferences menu. However when I try to connect a new device, I am told to open the code scanner on my Firefox App, which sounds like I have to use a mobile? How do I scan the QR code using my new laptop?

I wonder why the latest browser does not have a Home Button.It is easier to close the blank browser with the Home Button.Closing the blank browser helps the system restart smoothly in the next session.

I have forgotten my account password. What is the simplest way to restore my bookmarks and saved passwords after I change the password?

My google drive keeps disconnecting, and google drive/google docs links are not working. I have attached a screenshot of the new tab page when I copy paste a google sheets document URL into the search bar and hit enter. After the reloading icon animates, I stay on the new tab page and the url just sits there. The debug console shows 1 GET request that is timed out (picture also attached).

I can fix the issue by completely closing all firefox windows and opening again, but it will disconnect me after some minutes.

Once every few days (and now every day) the browser logs out of me from every site/forum where I was logged in and this starts to be really annoying, what can I do?

I have download set to always ask and consequently always get the, "What should Firefox do with this file?" dialogue box. 9 times out of 10 I choose, "Open with ... ". 10 times out of 10 Firefox also downloads the file. How can I stop FireFox downloading files I don't want ?

I am using a Mac and have no idea what this is or how to turn it off, image attached it comes up down the bottom of the taskbar even when firefox is not running. Thanks

For some reason, when I try to autofill with stored credit card information, Firefox (99.0.1) fills the form with credit card number and expiration date when I mouse over a credit card choice, and then when I actually make the choice, the entry gets erased.

I have checked, per an earlier (now archived) question, and there is no "autocomplete off" (or any mention of "autocomplete") in the web page in question.

I don't know if this is a problem with my installation, but websites without specific favicons (e.g.: https://forum.librivox.org/index.php?sid=fd7dca1ba59c207dd25121695677d565) don't have a placeholder icon in the tab. Is this intended behavior? There's the globe icon for bookmarks without favicons, couldn't that be used if a website doesn't have one? I think that would contribute to some visual consistency :)

I have looked across various support forums for information on this, I only see posts regarding favicons and bookmarks, not the tab itself, so apologies if this has been asked and answered already!

Using Outlook web, when viewing pdf documents, it displays strange symbols (incorrect font sets are probably used).

I point out that using Chrome the problem does not arise.

I also installed the microsoft fonts thinking it might solve the problem I attach illustrative image.

It has almost become impossible to continue using this browser. Sadly, I had it as my primary browser for a long time and now I have to switch out everything and move to Chrome or something else.

Thank you for being so cautious and ramping your security features, but not to the extent that it just becomes unusable.

I have FINALLY given up on your sync feature as it keeps adding deleted bookmarks and folders. It is so bad that all the duplication of bookmarks and folders are so random that can mount to thousands and thousands or copies.

I have UN-SYNC all my devices as this cannot go on as I have followed your instructions to the T.

Just that you know.

I have never wanted, do not want, and will never want any website to push notifications to my desktop computer. I don't even really want any websites (or your browser) to push notifications to my phone.

Fuckin let me block them with a global settings policy instead of having to click the no button for every piece of shit website that thinks I care about them enough to get nagged in my free time

In order to reproduce:

1. Browse to klarna.com 2. click on [login] and then [login for customers] 3. page will redirect to https://app.klarna.com/login?market=de&utm_campaign=header-login-link&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=klarna 4. (you should have an account, if not just create one and proceed with following step) 5. click on [sign in] 6. enter email assigned with your account 7. click on [Confirm and Continue] 8. (a verification code is sent to the email or phone assigned with your account) 9. enter verification code 10. page will redirect to https://app.klarna.com/ and will show a frame where to adjust settings about how klarna will collect data by tracking technologies. 11. click on any button to close that frame (accept all / required settings only,...) ---> Does not work :-(
