I try to install Firefox on a HP Z1 G8 desktop under Windows 11 Pro. The first time I get a warning that a .dll is not available or so (I dont know what this warning is precisely, becaus it pops up for 2 seconds only ) , and firefox is not well installed, reinstalling goes without warning, but still Firefox starts and then stay dead, no sites, no settings. I know the security in this computer is very thight, but other apps install without problem and functions.

Why Firefox cant be installed where other apps can ??????

I got a new Acer laptop with windows 11 (64bit). I downloaded FF but when I open it, it just gives a blank page. If I type in an address nothing happens. I have tried reinstalling but nothing seems to work

My name is Ivo. I use Thunderbird for all my Email-Accounts. Now I wanted to add another one, which is info@ivo-zimmermann.ch, but it does not work (pls see screenshots in the attachment).

info@ivo-zimmermann.ch works fine when I login directly on Gmail, it also worked fine to login here into the mozilla support. Also all other accounts that I have (for example info@kanai-zimmermann.ch) were no problem to install.

Do you have an idea where the problem is?

after bug 1866098 and the associated update stop, I can no longer update Thunderbird via the internal update process because it cannot find newer versions. I am asking since the bug seems to be resolved with 123.

How can I update my Thunderbird to 123.0b+?

Hello, I have my thunderbird data files (emails, etc.) on a separate drive. I had windows, apps on an SSD. The ssd got corrupted so I had to reinstall. Now I need to have Thunderbird point to the files on the separate drive. I have been trying to figure it out from your support articles but it gets way too confusing, especially since the new version of Thunderbird is different from the version I had before. Can you help me? Thank you

Trying to retire the Google surveillance tool, Chrome, by using Firefox. Ugh, if y'all want to encourage this someone should really look at how this is done!

I got bookmarks moved and prefs setup. Importing extensions is really nice--thanks FF devs--but a feature of Chrome I use every day is the set of icons on the new tab/home page/startup page. It is super easy to customize on Chrome but I can find no way to do so in Firefox. These icons have no label on the page and are right under the search bar--see image.

I have spent most of the morning following unhelpful links about android or mentioning menu options that do not exist. I am using FF 119 on macOS.

I was having trouble receiving emails and I couldn't work out the problem. I deleted my mail account and re-added it. Now all my folders are gone. I can see them in my profile, but can't work out how to get them back into Thunderbird mail. Please help

Hi New Dell Inspiron 15-3000, installed Firefox 100 in new laptop, transfered all files via LAN from old laptop All websites work ok except 2 of the 4 banking websites I use. One site will not accept my login the other will open after putting in my login twice Have gone to "troubleshoot mode" and both sites work , go back to "normal" and they do not work Any clues how to fix this, not to technical please I am not a computer whizz and all children have left home Many thanks Ron Managh

My computer of the last few years crashed and will not reboot. I did not manage to copy over my old Thunderbird profile info, so that is now lost.

However, I do have my old pop3 email folders saved in a folder with my other document files.

I'd like to rebuild my Thunderbird email account so I can access all the emails saved in my email folders but am not sure how to go about doing that without my other profile info.

Is this possible? How would I do it?

Version 102.2.2 goes "unresponsive" when I click get messages for several minutes, eventually will download one or two emails, but they are ones I have already deleted, and occur multiple times. Can I go back to version 91? Where can I get the install file? Since the problem started with the update its a problem with it, not antivirus software. There are no other programs using significant cpu time while t'bird is unresponsive. This is critical, I will have to find another email program if you don't fix this soon.

When I got a new computer, my account was automatically set up as IMAP but I could not send emails, though I can receive on the IMAP version. I went into manual configuration and copied all the configuration information from my (working) old computer to it, using its POP3/SMTP settings, but when I Retest I get an error: 'Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account' I've double-checked everything and am at a standstill. I really need help!

Referring to this forum post, step 2 of the chosen solution no longer exists. Please help.

I was running Thunderbird ver. 38.x.x on my Win 7 PC. All was good and never had any problems.

Recently I made the mistake to update to latest ver. 102.x.x.

This caused several issues and was not really what I was expecting. Therefore I decided to go back again.

Now I am running ver. 52.9.1. which is more or less like ver. 38. However I have one issue.

I have several IMAP mails accounts. 2 of these mail accounts are from an old mail server provider which is no longer in use. However I had access to all these older mails, which are located on my PC.

Since I did the upgrade and came back down I can no access thes older mails. When I open the account inbox, Thunderbird tries to connect to the mail server, which no longer exists.

How can I have Thunderbird to open these mails, which I assume are still located on my PC?

PS: I have even tried to install ver. 38, (same issue)

I recently purchased a dell refurbished computer, I set it up went and downloaded fire fox without any trouble. I restarted computer today and it would not accept password I called DiscountcomputerDepot.com help and they helped me to restart and they told me they would have to reinstall windows from computer. This is a very bizarre problem. Basically I can't install any Firefox addon neither on my desktop OR may laptop. I noticed this issue just couple of days ago. When I try to install any addon normally, from a link, it tells me that the addon can't be installed because the file is corrupt. Tried several addons, all same problem. On my desktop AND on my laptop. On my desktop I'm running ver. 103, but on my laptop I still had ver. 102.1, so there is no Firefox update issue. When I try to install addon from xpi file, it tells me that I have no permission to open that file and that's it. I tried to take ownership of that file but it didn't solve the issue I tried to disable my AV program, but it didn't do anything. On my laptop, I tried to refresh FF, no help. I tried to start FF in safe mode, same problem. I created new profile, same issue. Eventually, I totally uninstalled FF, removing program itself, removing Appdata folder and even registry entry. Installed fresh copy of FF, same problem exists. Then, I noticed one thing. When I tried to sync fresh FF installation on my laptop, it synced everything, EXCEPT for addons. So, something is preventing me doing anything regarding addons. Themes install just fine. I've struggling with this problem since yesterday and at this point I totally ran out of any fresh ideas how to solve this issue, thus posting here. I'll appreciate any fresh idea as what to do next.
