Usually I don't properly close my applications before rebooting or shutting down my machine. Firefox then restores my previous session, which I don't want.

I've tried the following but this didn't work:

• Verify "Open previous windows and tabs" isn't checked
• set `browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes` to 0
• set `browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash` to false

Do you have any idea, why this doesn't work? or any other ideas how I could disable this?

I recently changed to Firefox from chrome and the focus on security and privacy was a much needed upgrade. However, every time I close my windows I'm logged out of all my accounts. I checked all the settings that would have that effect even escalating it to a clean install and unfortunately nothing works. After checking the support forums this setting seemed to be the one that fixed things, attached is a screenshot showing that its unchecked and that there is cookie data stored, so I'm really at a loss.

On my new PC when I enter Thunderbird it doesn't open the highlighted message lower on the screen but will open in a new tab if requested . What am I not doing right ?

I cannot get the password as requested for POP.verizon.net. Although Verizon is involved so is AOL (???). How do I get around this problem? Thank you. Your help will be appreciated.

I have never maximized a Firefox window and I never will. After the latest update, all new windows, whether they are opened from another page via right-click or directly from the toolbar icon, open in a maximized view. I do not want this. Is there a way to prevent your program from inserting itself directly on top of everything else I'm working on? Have I accidentally changed a setting I cannot find again? I'd like to know if I need to find a new browser.

I keep getting a 403 error message when trying to access the British Airways website. This is the first time I have encountered this, although it is perhaps 3 years since I last flew BA. I have cleared my cache and cookies. I have also tried to access the same ba.com site using Edge - with the same error message. This suggests that the problem may lie with BA. However, they have no technical support that I can reach. So I do not know what to do next. I use Kaspersky anti-virus and Malwarebytes to screen for malware. Since the big update I cannot read my messages in the message window without scrolling as I read each line. The message window is so small that I can only see about four lines of text at a time. I can't get the messages to open in a new window unless I click on them and choose "open in new window" even after setting them to open in a new window on their own.

The last update fixed the font on everything from being too big in spite of settings so now I can read a little more at a time. It's still very frustrating having to scroll constantly.

I have used Thunderbird for my Virgin Media email account for many years ago, always easily and happily.

However, as of the past few days Thunderbird will no longer send emails via that account. Receiving is fine, but it won't send. The email account itself is fine. I can send messages via webmail. I've checked the passwords and even reset the app password and entered a new one, but nothing seems to work.

Does anybody have any suggestions, please? I am running the latest update of Thunderbird in Windows 11.

I've been using Thunderbird/Eudora for 20+ years. Today, I was forced to download a new version today. In doing so, I lost most of my saved folders as well as my email address list. Just finished reentering 200+ addresses but can't figure out how to print a hard copy so I can crosscheck and save as a hard copy. HELP!!!!!.

Firefox is running x 8 in my task manager at the moment. Why does it keep multiplying and slowing down my computer? I am almost ready to uninstall Firefox. If I merely need to revert to an earlier version of Firefox, please let me know how to do that. Thank you. Shannon

my electronic health record is freezing using Firefox on 2 different computers in 2 different locations. Internet speed 45 mbps at 1 location and 900 mbps at another. Able to use it on chrome.

I have lost my password and even the primary password. Is there any way to recover from this dilemma? When I click on the TB icon, the first thing I see is Enter your Primary Password. I enter my last PW. No success. So I click on Cancel. Up comes a partial TB screen and another request for Primary PW. Click cancel again and there is TB with all my emails. It is trying to connect to the host server: sending login information. It eventually times out and asks for the Primary PW again.

I can get my email by connecting to the ISP (Frontier.com), but I really miss my TB. I think I have tried everything but nothing seems to work.

Hello, I've got a reproduction issue on France TV live programs which I watch through nordvpn. The picture keeps "jumping" fast up and down in a very bothering way. This doesn't happen when the video is NOT live. I run the latest version of LINUX MINT. What can I do to fix it? The only way I found to stop the issue is to take down the resolution of the live video to its minimum which gives me a disastrous picture but stops the "jumping". I guess you might say there is something wrong with my GPU. The point is that my PC is brand new with an AMD 5600G, new MB, 16Gb of RAM and 500w of PSU. BUT more than anything I have to say that everything WORKS FINE with CHROME. I like FIREFOX I have been using it literally for decades now. (I'm 75). Is there a solution? I downloaded an update to my email. And it screwed it all up. I'm sick of going to my web mail to send out new messages, whenever someone e-mails me. My Thunderbird receives the e-mail's, but won't send them out? I haven't changed anything on the settings. Right now they are set to... and I've included a picture of my updates. Thank you.

I'm running Thunderbird 115.4.2 on Windows 10. There are several unused email accounts I want to remove but am unable to do so. When I select the account and go to "Account Actions", the "Remove Account" button is greyed out. If I select any of the other accounts it is also greyed out. Suggestions would be appreciated.

I've created 22 themes and in all of them the drop down menus such as "downloads", "history", "extensions", and "application menu", all became white instead of dark like they used to be. I really don't want to go through the process of fixing and reuploading them, I'd apprecate you looking into this and hopefully fixing it with a simple update. Please fix this problem, thank you!
