For no obvious reason, Thunderbird started complaining about my existing configuration to mail.com. I tried changing passwords, I tried rebooting the computer, but nothing would work. I kept getting the "invalid password" popup when trying to connect. I've double-checked that mail.com is still working (I can access all my email from the web client no problem).

So, eventually, I deleted the account from Thunderbird altogether and now I'm trying to recreate the configuration. Thunderbird recognizes mail.com and correctly deduces the server configuration settings, but it will not connect. When I try to add the account I get this message:

"Authentication failed. Either the entered credentials are incorrect or a separate username is required for logging in. This username is usually your Windows domain login with or without the domain"

Why on earth would a "Windows domain login" be needed for a web-based email location?? When I had the configuration set up before, all I had to supply was my email address and password.

Something in Thunderbird has changed and I can't figure this out.

Meanwhile, I have about 10 other email accounts set up on Thunderbird and they all seem to be working properly.

Would sure be nice to find a solution so I can get my mail.com account back on Thunderbird.

My email mail.com stopped working and ask for a new password. Putting in a new password does not work. It may be related to a T-mobil internet problem that they emailed me that it was fixed. My other emails are working OK. I get this message "Login to server imap.mail.com with username jmaugee@mail.com failed." My email to jmaugee@mail.com does not receive emails that I send from my other email address. John Augustine

About once a year suddenly Thunderbird does not recognize my passwords for my two email accounts. I don't know why this keeps happening and how to get the passwords to work.

I have defined about 45 simple filters to get rid of spam. They are all based on keywords found in subject or sender.

All of them are enabled and set this way :

Apply filter when : _ Manually Run X Getting New Mail ( Filter before Junk Classification ) _ Archiving _ After sending _ Periodically, every 10 minutes.

Perform these actions : 1. Set Junk Status to : Junk 2. Move Message to : "super-junk" folder 3. Mark As Read

See example in attached image.

PROBLEM : They do not run automatically when new emails are received. But if I run each of them manually, they work.

QUESTION : What is wrong ?

Hello, Firefox. So I have this feature whenever I type. When I type my first letter, it is capital, and whenever I add an comma to my sentence and hit the space key, it adds an period. I don't remember enabling that feature, and I want to disable that feature. Is there any way if I can disable that feature? Thanks in advance!

The above topic doesn't really apply to this. There was no option for this problem.

Now, I use Firefox Relay to mask my email address. It has always been an icon on the toolbar. It has now disappeared. I would like to use it but can't without that icon.

Starting this morning, I have been unable to access my email because no matter what i do or changes I try and make.....it does not recognize my password....even when I have changed it....even when I ask mail.com to refer to the saved passwords. NOTHING WORKS. I need to use this email....help. I notice that there is a request for you to email me when someone answers the thred.....funny considering I cannot get my email

That doesn't work anymore. Since the last update, the search went back to the adress bar, doesn't matter if that option is mark as true or false.

Please stop making that the searches go to the adress bar. Nobody likes it.

The five Firefox relay have not been used by me; can I create new ones. I don't use shopify or pinterest. It looks like they were set up in 2024. Can I receive 5 more to clean these out. Thanks.

The size of the slider is so tiny, it is extremely difficult to see let alone manipulate. Is there a setting which would allow a user to make them much wider, thereby easier to see and manipulate? Thanks

Thunderbird import not allowing to "match names" on import from a CSV file.

Yes this is the problem when working with Thunderbird’s import of a CSV file, the Match field names option only is allowed on the first attempt. That told me that the source fields and first Record columns did not have useful fields to even try to Match field names. So I went and edited the CSV file to try to get at the Match Field names option but it was not available no matter what I fix or tried. So to me the problem is with Thunderbird’s “ surmising that since I was given the Match field Names screen that I Thunderbird never gives the Match Field names on subsequent attempt. Thunderbird needs to give the Match field Names screen as an option on every attempt not just the 1st attempt.

The below screen was given to me by one of the consultant’s attempt. And you can see that he had a CSV file with the THUNDERBIRD’s preferred CSV options!!! And it did use the Match Fields Option.

Attached screenshots is not possible at this time.

I am running windows 10, firefox 148.0.2 (64-bit) and when signing onto amazon.com I am greeted by this annoying pop up. Screenshot attached,

"Windows Security Making sure it's you

Please sing in to amazon.com This request comes from Firefox, published by Mozilla Corporation"

I do not find a need for this pop up and would like to know how to disable it. If you know how, please let me know!

When trying to access the Princess Cruise website I just keep getting a blank page. Princess says I need to remove extensions. I have read and read and to be honest I am totally confused. Please help.
